Once again, Red's eyebrows went up except this time they stopped going up pretty quickly. They hovered there for a moment while she tried to figure out what she was even supposed to say to that, then drooped back down once she decided she didn't have the energy to deal with this. All the emotion drained from her face, leaving her looking more bored than anything. The tension was still clearly in her neck and shoulders, and she had a white-knuckle grip on the potato, but that was the only hint that remained about how she was feeling. Everything else suddenly disappeared all at once.
She was no longer maintaining eye contact and stared limply at the ground nearby. There was no reasoning with this person. Holly wasn't exactly wrong, but she still tried to give Holly something to latch onto. Something she might appreciate. Something that could set the conversation onto a reasonable path. Because thinking she could possibly be a mugger when Holly was in the middle of nowhere, in a run down abandoned factory, while Holly was dressed like that was already absurd. Red had no idea what was going on in that girl's head, but she wasn't sure she even wanted to know considering what Holly was saying already. She wasn't even sure if she wanted to eat this potato anymore, which was saying something considering her complete inability to turn down free food. At this point, she was ready to accept her fate as someone that would be eternally harassed by random assholes at Haven.
Her breathing stopped for a fraction of a second at Holly's request -- order more like. Every instinct in her told her to refuse, or failing that, just run away. Turning her back to Holly, or any Huntress really, seemed like a really bad idea. After a moment's pause, she took a deep breath, and looked towards the city.
"That way right?" she gestured with her head. "Okay. Just let me know if I start going the wrong way. Or if you see something bad."
Her voice was as devoid of emotion as her face, and sounded equally as bored. She made no effort to explain herself to avoid giving Holly any more fuel for whatever nonsense she believed. Once she finished talking, she carefully brought the potato back to her side, put her free hand in her pocket, and started walking. She half-hoped Holly would try something because it'd give her a good excuse to run, but even if she didn't, at least she'd be the only controlling the pace of the walking now. She went with the pace she normally did with Knight; something that most anyone would be able to keep up with, but didn't involve moving in slow motion. Even that much was a nice quality of life improvement.

Silly little liar.
Completely flabbergasted by simple words. Just a little bit of flair into her life and she completely shut down back into her boring mode. That, or it was the most cleverest of hiding your emotions that Holly ever saw! [break] [break]
But nah, there is no faking it.[break] [break]
Sienna was something she didn't told out loud, and Holly was both interested to find out and to keep it a secret.[break] [break]
If she was a spy, it would be most likely important to know what her intentions were. Maybe she wanted to attack the school, or prevent Holly's plan, or was send by Ryan! All very possible possibilities![break] [break]
A part of her didn't wanted to find out the truth though. The truth could be so very boring. Whatever Holly thought Sienna could be was most likely way more exciting that whatever the reason was she would give. It would most likely be something harmless, and while that was great, Holly wanted to believe that Sienna was here on a super important and secret mission just to find out stuff about Holly! That made her feel important, and that was always great! [break] [break]
"Just start walking to where you need to go. I think you know where you need to go! I am just there to keep you safe and sound till we get there. I am just that nice. Like the bee's knees. Buzz buzz." Holly made the buzzing noise without any hint of irony. There was honestly the intent to make sure this Red was not hurt in the case she was a harmless normy. There was that slim chance, and in that case Holly wanted to be sure nothing happened. [break] [break]
Red was walking way faster than they had done before, and that kinda upset Holly. If she wanted to walk faster, she could have just said so! Holly would have gladly sped things up, but apparently basic communication was not something that was Sienna's strength. As Holly kept walking behind Sienna, she just started to talk again. Even if Sienna wasn't the communicative type, Holly hated silence. Silence means the awful thoughts in your head start to come out, and we don't want that![break] [break]
"So, I recently found out that I am something that is called Ram. It is supposed to be my star sign. I am kinda happy with being a cute sheep. I once tried to hug one, but their coat was less soft and more like...not pleasant and fluffy. Major bumbsville. Considering that I could be a stupid lobster, I should be happy. I didn't wanted to hug a crustacean. They are like armored spiders. With claws."[break] [break]
Holy sighed for a moment, happy to have shared that with someone. She was going to bother Kishka with it, but this completely stranger who was also a liar served the same purpose. The city was slowly coming closer, and Holly didn't mind just rambling on, it seems. It didn't much matter if Red wanted to reply or not.[break] [break]
"You think we are like...you believe in Karma? That if you do good things, you will be rewarded for it? I don't believe in it myself, but I honestly want to meet someone who believes in it. I did some bad things in my past, and I want to know if the universe is going to punish me for it. I want to be ready for when that happens. You know? Like how someone has a gun under their pillow to protect against burglars. But like, against fate. I kinda want to sucker-punch the universe if possible. I guess that would get me bad karma, but whatever. I have done enough good, so I will be rewarded for that. Or would it like...balance things out? I don't really know how karma works, that is why I want to find it out."[break] [break]
Fun road-trip talks with complete strangers!

It felt like her ears were buzzing, and it wasn't from Holly going buzz buzz. This entire thing was giving her a headache.
She did get a very brief moment of respite, but it was indeed very brief. Holly did say she didn't like silence earlier, so it didn't come as a surprise, just a disappointment. Once again, she felt obligated to go along with it to try to make things less awkward. Even though she was failing horribly, she really was trying to keep Holly happy. Less trouble that way.
The forest was getting denser, but most of the trees were fairly narrow. Since it was this close to the city, it was probably a logging site that would finish regrowing in a year or two so the wood could be harvested again. It was deserted, but it was pretty hard to see around all the trees once they got into the thick of it. Losing the ability to see so far was always a little stressful, but it wasn't anything she couldn't handle. Given such tight quarters tended to favor her mobility more than an open field did, she was used to moving through spaces like this. All she had to do was make sure she didn't trip while figuring out what to say to Holly.
Holly's first topic was an easy one. Red could ramble about space for hours. The second one though? That seemed like a mine field and the way she so casually talked about karma coming back to bite her was disturbing. She was going to try to avoid that one as much as she could.
"Ah Aries? That's an interesting constellation. It has the vernal equinox, so it's had strong associations with spring and the harvest in mythology, and its prominent enough that it shows up in most mythologies. I think they also discovered some supernovae in one of the galaxies it runs through. The pictures from the really strong Atlesian telescopes are pretty spectacular. They're worth looking up on the internet if you ever have nothing better to do."
The buzzing started getting louder, which confused her. She thought it was just a sound in her head, but those kinds of noises didn't tend to get louder unless something really bad happened, and she didn't think talking about karma was freaking her out that much. She looked to the right, but didn't see anything there. Granted, it was pretty hard to see through all the trees.
"The universe is just a vacuum of mostly empty space. I don't think it really cares what you do. The people you come into contact might though. I think that's all it is..."
No, the buzzing was definitely getting louder, and it wasn't just her head. Just as the buzzing started getting prominent enough that it was no longer muffled by the sound of wind going through the leaves, she caught a flash of black and white flying through the trees. She only saw it for a fraction of a second, but she recognized it almost immediately. There was more than one, and they were really fast. Lancer swarm.
Red didn't have time to reflect on how Grimm managed to get this close to the city, how strange it was, or the implications that had for the city itself. She had to get ready. It'd be hard to outrun them in a place like this. She could probably manage, but she wasn't sure if Holly would. They were moving quickly enough that she opted to try to grab Holly's wrist and pull her to the ground. The lancers probably wouldn't aim for the legs, so this seemed like the logical first step.
"Get down!"
Splinters of wood exploded around them as their stingers went through the trunks of the trees around them. Not all of them fired yet, but enough did that they should have a few second to start moving. It was time to see what Holly could do she supposed.

Buzzing. [break] [break]
Lancers.[break] [break]
Yes, there were most likely Lancers around.[break] [break]
Holly couldn’t mistake the sound for anything else after Rochdale. She had a chill along her spine, but she wasn’t actually that afraid with the amount of noise. There was most likely one around, maybe two. She heard the droning of hundreds of those Grimm. It would most likely attack at some point, or maybe not if it hadn’t noticed us. Were they were walking were a lot of trees, so they could be hiding in one. The same fact that there were a lot of trees around also made Holly feel at ease about this whole impending doom situation. Holly should probably speak up and get Sienna to safety.[break] [break]
But she was doing so well with actually talking, and Holly didn’t want to interrupt her. [break] [break]
Learning that Sienna was a fan of stars was honestly way more exciting than the thought of an imminent Grimm attack![break] [break]
Listen, Grimm attacks people all the time! They basically had created an entire class of people to deal with this exact problem. She was technically one of those people! If there is a fire you get a fireman. Or firewoman. If there is a Grimm, you got a huntress or huntsman. That was common enough even for Holly to not be afraid of.[break] [break]
Hearing incredibly dull Sienna talk about something with knowledge and mild interest? That was new and exciting! Holly clasped her hands together as she answered. “I didn’t know the harvest connection! The stars used to be…brighter, on my island. Something about light pollution. I will see if I can dig up those pictures! Thanks!”[break] [break]
And it was honestly the sanest answer Holly had given in return. See what playing along can get you?[break] [break]
…Not that it would matter all that much, as the buzzing was getting louder and Holly made sure to lessen her distance from Sienna in case something went wrong. Something that Holly wasn’t still all that worried about.[break] [break]
Sienna was so boring, she most likely was invisible for Grimm.[break] [break]
Well…not that boring, she was going on with something interesting again when some meanie Grimm interrupted their philosophical discussion! The uncaring void that Sienna talked about would most likely be way more interesting than whatever dark void Grimm came from! [break] [break]
Hmm, new thought… Grimm could be aliens.[break] [break]
And it was a thought she would consider at length at a different moment in time. Holly needed to do her job. She could see a small swarm of lancers appear from behind a group of trees. She had the image of them still on her mind. Sienna seemed to have some survival instinct as she said for Holly to go down, but there was honestly a better solution. [break] [break]
They were standing on grass. Holly’s truest friend. Beyond trauma.[break] [break]
Instead of simply being pulled to the ground by Red, Holly body dived on the girl to get her as quickly on the ground and to ensure that she decided to duck on grass and not on worthless dirt. Also, to protect her if there was going to be a rogue stinger finger upon them. “That is my line, hold still please!” She exclaimed, before she placed her hands and feet on the grass like it was a game of life-and-dead twister. The grass around them began to glow a soft magenta, and within a matter of seconds, grass would begin to grow and form a cocoon around Red and Holly that quickly tried to close itself around them. [break] [break]
Holly had no idea if Sienna was actually nothing other than a normie, and she didn’t want her to die. She was boring, but that wasn’t a crime. She loved stars like a nerd, and that was enough reason to have some merit to be saved. Also, she most likely did have a family or at least someone looking out for her. Holly didn’t want them to feel sad that their somewhat cute plank of wood died in the woods. [break] [break]
With the cocoon firmly established, they could hear the sounds of stingers firing at the outside and despite their best efforts, couldn’t really dig into the semblance-augmented grass with how strong it was. It honestly sounded a bit like hail hitting the roof of your car.[break] [break]
There wasn’t a lot of room to move around inside the cocoon, as Holly wanted to make it as quickly as possible. So…she was kinda stuck above Sienna without either of them being able to move around until Holly made it larger. It also was rather dark, with the most light coming from the magenta hue that resonated from their emergency shelter The pinkette looked at Sienna below her and gave a smile like she didn’t have a care in the world. “So, if you are secretly a badass, this is the time! If not, don’t be alarmed and let Holly take the lead! You doing ok, Sienna? I need you on this, so don’t freak out! Look at me, I want to hear you say that you understand me.”[break] [break]
Again, having no actual idea if Sienna, as boring as a plank of wood, no-last-name-given, was going to deal with this kind of situation. Holly needed to know her baseline if this normie was able to run when Holly asked it from her, or if she needed to come up with a solution that involved saving a sentient bag of potatoes that didn’t wanted to get impaled. Her own instincts to get out of the way kicked in fast enough that she was already most of the way down before Holly pounced on her, which only made it easier to get on top of her and completely knock her off her feet. She ended up on her back with Holly sprawled out on top of her. Her eyes widened, and she immediately interpreted this as an attack. Red had been feeling on edge for their entire conversation and half-expected to get attacked the second she turned her back, so being forced into such a vulnerable position only brought those feelings to the forefront. Her thumbs went for Holly's eyes while the rest of her fingers wrapped around Holly's head to let her put more force on them. Holly's aura would probably end up protecting her, but hopefully it'd be painful and surprising enough that she could slip away.
Once the cocoon started forming and Holly's words actually registered, her body stiffened and she sheepishly lowered her hands, making sure to keep them where Holly could see them. She looked away, feeling terrible about suddenly attacking someone she was trying to defend moments ago. The pounce startled her, but that was hardly any excuse. Hopefully she didn't do too much damage. The whole situation left her a bit flustered, so she took a deep breath before answering Holly's question.
"I wouldn't say I'm 'a badass,' but I can take care of myself. You can't leave Grimm this close to the city right? Don't worry, I won't get in your way."
Unless Holly really needed the backup, she was content to stay out of the trainee's way. She didn't get a good look at how many there were, but based on the amount of stingers clanging against the hardened grass, there couldn't have been that many. Though, she'd still er on the side of caution because she'd never forgive herself if she let someone be injured for no reason, insane Huntress or not. She could afford to provide some backup.
Granted, since Holly was both physically on top of her, and had her trapped under something, she didn't have much choice but to follow Holly's lead anyway.
"Ah, your fingers are in my eyes! Stop!" Holly yelped in surprise when on accident Sienna's fingers ended up nearly poking out Holly's eyes. Her aura protected any actual damage, but it was slightly disorientating and annoying. Honestly, how clumsy can you be towards your saviour? There didn't seemed to be any malice in the action, however, so Holly just leaved it at that.[break] [break]
A slight smile appeared on the botanist's face as the girl under her gave a response. "Only a bad ass would answer a question like that. You just make sure you are not a target. Either use your secret ninja powers, or stay right here. Momma will take care of the monsters."[break] [break]
Holly waited a for a moment after that, staying in silence as she awaited. The Grimm should attack again, right? Shoot their little stingers? Holly didn't hear the stingers, and she wanted to go out at the moment after they were attacked again. Out of frustration, she opened up a little hole in her cocoon and poked her head up and shouted. "Just attack us please! Anger, pain, emotional conflict!" Holly quickly lowered her head again and closed up the opening.[break] [break]
Tock, tock, tock...tock[break] [break]
At least four. The sound of a renewed lancer attack was hear hitting the outer shell of the magenta-glow grass fortress as the swarm attacked in another run. Giving another smug grin towards Bianca, Holly used this moment to exit her cocoon from one side and dart towards the nearest older tree that hadn't been replanted. She started to climb into and towards the branches and the foliage, which was luckily thick enough for her plan. She made good progress, and stood on one of the lower branches as she hugged the tree with her body while scouting for the lancers. "You and I will accomplish great things, Murdertree."[break] [break]
The upper parts of the tree started to glow magenta, becoming her weapon in the coming conflict. She always wanted to hit more things with trees. [break] [break]

Red raised her eyebrows again. That was happening enough that she was starting to be afraid her face might get stuck that way.
A response only a badass would give? She paused and tried to picture what Knight, an actual badass, would say to something like that, but she's pretty sure all Knight would say is 'get off of me,' or something like that. Whatever. Holly had been off in her own world this whole time, so she was going to think whatever she wanted to think regardless of what Red said. So, she just nodded to make sure Holly knew she understood her words and waited for Holly to do something.
And waited. And waited in that horribly awkward and uncomfortable position.
Holly seemed to get just as impatient as she was feeling and eventually just went out. Now that she was free to move, she had a choice to make. If that was how Holly moved in combat, if she decided to make a run for it now it seemed unlikely that Holly would ever be able to catch up with her. The Lancers certainly couldn't; she's been able to outrun those bugs for awhile now. She'd be free of this horribly awkward situation, free of the dangers of Grimm, and able to go about her day. Unfortunately, she didn't trust Holly to take care of the Grimm. That distrust had very little to do with Holly and more with prior experiences. Relying on anyone besides Knight had poor results. She couldn't let Grimm roam this close to the city, even if she didn't really know how to fight them herself. Even though she knew Holly was here, even if she tried to contact the people protecting the edge of the city, even if she waited there to clear her head and fought them then, she would never be able to forgive herself. Leaving wasn't an option.
So how much did she want to get involved? Well, she didn't want to get involved, so the real question was how much she needed to get involved and whether or not she should at all. This wasn't like fighting with Knight. She knew absolutely nothing about Holly's abilities beyond what was on the internet because Holly didn't actually fight in her Vytal match. If she moved wrong, she could legitimately get in Holly's way for all she knew. Thus, part of her wanted to stay in this cramped little space despite it having no room to maneuver. It was hard enough to deflect their stingers, so the Lancers would have to aim perfectly to hit her at all. The more sensible part of her heard Holly call the tree she climbed a 'murdertree' and decided that relying on Holly to keep her safe was probably a bad idea. Out of the grass cocoon she went.
She left the potato behind, surprised she was able to hold onto it so tightly through all that, and hid behind a nearby tree and tried to clear her mind. With all her anxiety and irritation, she expected the Grimm to have some interest in her. Her mind was very good at attracting Grimm, and it had been a problem any time she traveled in the wilderness, but it seemed like she had nothing on Holly. The Lancers were swarming the pink-haired girl like Red wasn't even there. She blinked and lowered herself into a combat stance. If it looked like Holly could handle it, she would stay put. If it looked like Holly was going to have some trouble, she should be able to close the distance between them in less than a second and knock on or two Lancers off balance enough to miss Holly. She was wearing her combat gloves (since they were also her work gloves), so she would be able to channel her aura through them easily and send a shock wave strong enough to break concrete through them if necessary.
But she was only going to move if Holly needed help. She didn't want to get in the way if Holly had it handled.

It was time to let nature run its course. [break] [break]
Meaning Holly was going to mangle things with her tree really, really hard. [break] [break]
The lancers were flying around the site in a single swarm. While they previously tried to pierce Holly's little cocoon with their stingers with little to no success, they now had a clear visual on the girl. As such, they decided to switch up their tactic. Two of them flew straight at Holly standing on her branch, while the others decided to fire their stingers at the tree to try and rip it apart. [break] [break]
Clever, though flawed.[break] [break]
The two Grimm that flew into the tree never made it to the pinkette, as the moment they hit the branches and leaves, Holly sprung her little trap. All of the greenery in that part of the tree, and even towards the sides, quickly flung towards the Lancers and caught them. The branches constricted enough around them to trap the both of them. In a way, the scene was a lot of like seeing a mouse trap go off. The branches were tough and trapped the Grimm like they were sorry mice. Holly was the delicious piece of cheese. Added bonus, because Holly had reinforced the branches and leaves near those Grimm, the attack of the lancers who shot their stingers also hit that part instead of the cheese. [break] [break]
Not so much a bonus, the Grimm Holly caught weren't death yet. [break] [break]
But that could change.[break] [break]
Holly tried to keep enough focus on that part of the tree with her semblance while lightly influences the lower part of the tree. Enough to ensure that the roots loosened enough and pushed just enough so that soon the whole tree was going to topple over and on top of the Grimm. That should do the trick. Holly could feel the tree giving way as she worked on uprooting it, and soon it would begin to fall over and do away with these sorry intruders! Holly gave a cackle as the tree started to go, not even sure if she did it for herself or for Sienna. She hadn't exactly kept an eye on her. Oh well! "Timber! Down we go!"[break] [break]
There was a problem that Holly honestly didn't think about. She was still on the tree that she was bringing down, and while she could jump off and go to the other side, the two Grimm that had previously fired off their stingers were still circling around the crazed botanist. Trying to get an angle that Holly didn't had protection. Something they soon would soon get.

Holly's attack was exactly what she expected from someone with a plant manipulation semblance, but not what she expected from someone with Huntress training. Seeing the tree twist and grow was legitimately impressive and she was glad she stayed out of the way until she knew what Holly was going to do. Once the branches sprung and ensnared the Grimm, she expected that to be the end of it. That she'd crush them and turn to deal with the two she failed to catch in her initial attack. Instead, the branches just kind of sat there while the Grimm tried to wiggle and sting their way free. It was kind of hard to see in all the foliage, but she knew what Grimm dissolution sounded like and she definitely didn't hear it.
The mad cackle confirmed why the Grimm were going for Holly instead of her. Unlike the attack, that was something she expected from Haven trainees in general and was even less surprised to see it from Holly based on how the trainee had been acting so far. It made her glad she decided to escape the cocoon when she could actually move around and take care of herself. Especially because Holly was apparently going to uproot the entire tree to try to crush two Grimm even though that would squish her as well. Her eyes widened and she darted from her hiding place to a tree a few rows down to avoid the tree and get a better look at the situation.
This was concerning. Holly only hit two, but was toppling over her weapon for no reason and leaving herself completely open to the other two. If she could make grass hard enough to deflect their stingers, couldn't she make something that was already kind of pointy like a tree branch into something that could just skewer them? Or at least do something that hopefully didn't involve crushing the civilian she was trying to protect? Whatever, she knew better than to expect anything from people like this.
As the tree fell, it was becoming more and more obvious that Holly wasn't paying attention to the two Lancers she missed. Did the trainee even know they were there? Given Holly didn't fight in Vytal and was acting pretty haphazard here, she wasn't actually sure how strong she was. Knight could fight without her semblance just fine and would probably laugh off an attack like this, but with the situational awareness Holly had displayed so far and the strangeness of the attack, she wasn't sure she could say the same about Holly. She could just sit there and let nature take its course. If Holly was this bad at fighting she'd probably get herself killed in a stupid way sooner or later anyway. She was clearly mentally unstable, so letting her fall here might be doing the world a favor in the long run. It's not like anyone could call her on it, Holly was supposed to be protecting her, not the other way around.
But she couldn't do it. Couldn't just sit there and watch knowing something terrible might happen to someone. Even if it wasn't a guaranteed disaster, she couldn't do it.
Red bolted towards Holly and the approaching Lancers. That moment of hesitation, that moment she took to decide whether she should intervene at all, meant that they were close enough to the trainee that she had to use her semblance to go through a few trees to get there in time. Her body flashed a burnt orange for about half a second while she clipped through those couple of trees, and she was moving fast enough to keep up with cars moving at neighborhood speeds.
The Lancers were both gearing up to fire at the same time, and were just barely far enough apart that her arms wouldn't be long enough to hit them both. Instead, she channeled her aura through the metal in the fingers of her gloves to send a shockwave through one of the lancers. A small burst of burnt orange emanated from her fist and she knocked the Lancer to the ground, making its stinger go wide and miss Holly completely. It was still alive and buzzing, but it'd be a moment before it could attack again. All she could do with the second one was intercept it. The stinger hit her square in the side of the ribs, knocking her out of her jump and onto her knees on the ground, not too far from the fallen tree. Her aura flexed once she hit the ground. It'd never been any good at protecting her and another attack like that would almost certainly break it.
"Can't you just stab them or something?"
Her voice was louder and more terse than she wanted it to be, but they were in the middle of a fight and she didn't have the time or energy to worry about her tone. Especially not after taking a hit for another trainee. Why did she keep doing this? This was so backwards it was stupid.

Sienna had been mostly boring and uninteresting, so the idea of smashing things had been quite preferable over well... the alternative. And Holly hated fighting normally! A lot! You just got dirty and tired and maybe even injured! People could also die, which was 2/3 times a very bad thing! That was why she was making this fight interesting! Like, it wasn't the most efficient way of dealing with the problem but who the hell cares! Take that tree and turn it into a murder weapon! Throw it down to the ground to crush two weak mobs with it! It might not be the most direct way to deal with the problem, but it at least was a spectacle! [break] [break]
So, when the tree fell Holly noticed the distinct Grimm turning into smoke effect coming out of the leaves of the tree. The reinforced branches must have skewered them both! Holly gave a great big smile as she looked around to see if Sienna had watched the action scene![break] [break] Holly first noticed the Grimm flying at her. Honestly too late.[break] [break] And then she was Sienna do something... unexpected.[break] [break] She fought the Lancers... being going through trees? She created a little shockwave with was either some form of semblance or a weapon... most likely a weapon considering that going all orange and ghostly was the girl's semblance. And then she confronted Holly, of all people, for being to indirect in her approach...[break] [break] WHILE SHE HAD BEEN LYING THROUGH HER TEETH FOR THE PAST WHO KNEW HOWEVER LONG! [break] [break]
This girl wasn't boring! She was part ghost, part ninja, and hid all of that for some inexplicable reason! Telling me that you could do either of those things would have honestly been way more exciting than your boring spiel about being a girl who needed a freaking escort for whatever reason! [break] [break]
A part of her didn't wanted to protect this liar... but another part of her knew she could get in trouble if she didn't.[break] [break] Holly kept her hand on a branch as she responded to Sienna's demand. "Fine, I will stab something." As the branch glowed magenta, the pinkette snapped it off the tree as easily as someone else might snap of a small twig. Somewhat resembling a dog who found a really nice stick, she hurried over towards the stunned Lancer still recovering on the ground. "I will stab something real good!" Standing next to it now, Holly tried to shove the branch with the point end at the Grimm. The lancer, being still able to defend itself, tried to slash at the branch with its claw. Which did absolutely nothing against the reinforced wood. The power of pink energy was just way too much. [break] [break]
Doing quite literally what Sienna had asked, Holly stabbed the Grimm in its abdomen. The reinforced tree-branch was stuck in the Grimm, but it was not enough. It wiggled and tried to slash some more at the branch, though Holly was out of range thanks to the power of having a long enough poking stick. It tired to take off again, but as the lancer started to flap its wings, Holly shook her head. "Stabbing seems to not work! Let me try a crazy Holly plan!" She said in frustration. [break] [break] Focusing her semblance, Holly grew some nice lateral branches![break] [break] From inside the Grimm.[break] [break] You know that old children's tale that if you eat watermelon seeds you will grow a watermelon inside of your stomach? [break] [break] This was something like that.[break] [break] The first efforts of the Grimm were halted as instead of taking off, it made some weird spastic movements with its body as whatever inside it has were being punctured from the inside as Holly kept growing her murderstick. All the while she kept a great smile on her face as she looked on and looking at how the Grimm's movements became way more erratic. If it could scream in pain, it would most likely do so now![break] [break] And literally as Holly had that thought inside of her head, the Grimm evaporate into smoke. Holly had created a lateral branch that had gone through the Lancer's whole body towards its head, where it had done enough structural damage for it to be destroyed. Holly wasn't stressed or even angry at this point. Curious was the right word. Again with the battle awareness of a blind infant, Holly just had one single thought inside of her head after this had happened.[break] [break] Could I do something like that on a person?

She hadn't gotten a good look at Holly's face through the thick branches of the tree she was controlling, but seeing it now she realized she miscalculated. Holly wasn't even trying. Rather, she was playing with deadly creatures like a cat toying with its prey. Why didn't Holly fight at all in Vytal if she enjoyed it this much and was strong enough to not care about getting hurt or having to finish them off quickly. Or was unhinged enough to not care, she could believe either at this point. Whatever, she knew before coming in that she was likely worrying for nothing and that doing this would be completely pointless.
Red slinked back when Holly responded to her terse request. It's not like she wanted to be rude, but it was hard to watch her language in the middle of a combat situation. She tucked her chin, lowered her shoulders, and looked up like a puppy that just got scolded and was afraid of being kicked. Seeing Holly like this only confirmed that she was right to disengage and try to avoid getting involved with her. And to avoid pissing her off, even if she failed miserably at that part. Because the next display was a little hard to watch.
It's not like she felt bad for the Grimm, she wasn't so sensitive that she was going to feel bad for monsters, but this wasn't quite what she meant when she suggested just stabbing it. The tree was excessive force applied in a really haphazard way, but this was avoiding force for long enough that it was almost cruel. And the way Holly basically tore the monster apart from the inside made her put her hands together and pull them towards her stomach herself. When Holly was done she nodded sheepishly and paused for a moment before speaking up.
"Good job."
Once the Grimm were defeated, she went to retrieve the giant potato and looked back towards the city. Part of her wanted to run for it now because Holly was clearly offended, but she didn't want to push her luck given they were in the middle of a forest. A forest with lots of plants.
"I should head back. You don't have to follow me if you don't want to. I'm sorry for wasting your time."

Twelve. It would most likely take... around twelve seconds. [break] [break]
Insert a plant into someone. Let it grow. [break] [break]
Twelve seconds.[break] [break]
Holly was still working out the technicalities of her peculiar desires in this moment to react quickly or adequately towards Sienna mild praise at Holly reaching child-psychopath levels of inflicting harm. She was still very much distracted to the point that one could honestly be forgiven for simply walking away and leave.[break] [break]
Still, when Sienna went for the potato, Holly's head stirred and turned towards the movement. In the split second she was still 'not entirely in the present', Holly's face was still all kinds of intense in all the wrong ways. Still, her features softened just as the thoughts of plant-based organic-inflicted mutilation were put inside a mental box labbeled 'Later'. [break] [break]
The lying bitch wanted to just take a run for it, it seems. To escape the the city and be gone. Well, not that she needed the help it seemed. She seemed to take care of herself well enough. While a part of Holly wanted to know why this untruthful little scamp thought it was needed to hold the truth, a part of her just wanted to be rid of her and any further lies.[break] [break]
Sienna was a bad influence.[break] [break]
Caused all kinds of ill-intents inside the hearts of an innocent maiden. [break] [break]
Like stabbing someone's eyes out.[break] [break]
Horrible...that Sienna makes me feels that way. [break] [break]
Holly kept holding the stick she used in her hands, and now there wasn't any Grimm being poked by it, the full extent of the botanist's alterations to it became clear. Grown inside the Grimm's body with what seemed the express purpose of inflicting a lot of damage. Long, unnatural spikes covered the length of it. While giving it a slight swing near her own feet, Holly gave Sienna a verbal response with her eyes already turned away from the other girl.[break] [break] "Make sure to boil the potato well and good, because else it might give you tummy aches." [break] [break]
She gave the stick another swing near her feet, before her eyes darted away to look if Sienna was paying attention.[break] [break]
"And make sure to share it with lot's of love from me. I will know it if you did not, and will be very sad! You wouldn't want to be an unkind and untruthful little scamp to me twice? Lying, thinking I am dumb or crazy, and just stringing me along for whatever crazy ride you intended to take. Well, be a good egg and do me a solid and enjoy that potato. Though a horrible person you might be, at least don't waste the food I made. Hurry along now. Also; don't talk to strangers anymore! You kind of suck at it!"[break] [break]
And with that, Holly simply set out towards what seemed to be a random path not even going towards either the city, or back where they came from. She just wanted to be alone and think. Other people were so hard to think around. Giving bad thoughts.
