Chloro thought some training within the forest was a good idea, and technically it was. She was handling with alot of the smaller Grimm when more kept appearing. It was tough but she managed to claw her way through them all before the dust settled, unsure on how exactly she managed it. Then, as adrenaline began to subside, she felt the pain. Searing pain on her spine, causing her to gasp in pain as she stumbled into the closest tree, catching her breath and focusing on the pain to subside just a little. She could feel her crimson life force leak out of whatever sized wound it was, and she definitely needed help for this one. Thankfully the fighting brought her closer to Haven than she initially anticipated, so her stumbled steps began to bring her towards the school.
She could sense eyes on her as she began walking through the main quad of the school, in the vague direction of the infirmary or whatever they had. Usually, she could deal with her own wounds but she couldn't even see this one, she didn't know how bad or good it was. She just knew she needed new clothes as A, her green colour tone was turning red and B, the claws definitely ripped it up. Someone came to give her a hand, which sped up the process of movement quite a bit despite her protests but with haste, they arrived at the infirmary.
Chloro, thanking the stranger for help, leant up against a pole before she continued forward, her steps uneven and stumbling. "Well this is great..." she thought as she walked up to the nearest person, someone with long hair, a girl she thought. Hopefully she could help this situation, as she reached out to try and get their attention.

While most called in an infirmary, it really was more of just a nurse’s office. Only large enough for it three beds, a desk, and the cabinets of medical supplies. It only made sense with most of the people who might end up with injuries had auras. So, anything larger than this was unnecessary, and most of the time, the beds main used was to give the students a place to rest while their aura refilled. Or, as Opal had learned in his short time here, a place student tries to sleep to skip class.
It seemed the since word got out that a student was helping from time to time some thought, they might try their luck. Unfortunately, aura made getting a simple cold a lot hard than people thought, making what could have been a nice quiet time to study into a revolving door of testing students and offering shots. The needles seem to do the trick, much to Opal delight. For the past hour, however, he had been enjoying the quiet as he watched over the room while Doctor Haragitanai was out.
Taking a break from his books, Opal was busying himself with a few tasks he been asked to do. Mainly looking over some simple files, he qualifies to organize when he heard the door open from behind him. “If you’re sick, then get ready for a needle. It is flu season after…” Dropping off as he jumped up from his chair seeing the girl enter. “What the!?” Quickly hurrying over, helping the girl to one of the beds. It was not hard to spot the blood dripping down the girl's side from her back. “What in the bloody hell happen to you?”
As gently as he could, helping her onto the bed to get a better look. Only to frown as he saw the claw marks on her back. “Was this from training or a Grimm attack?” Asking as he began gathering the supplies he needed and setting them on the bedside table. “If it the later, you know there a ban on that right now. At least soloing since the Grimm’s been going crazy since the… Festival.” Pausing to shake the night out of his head. It wasn’t a place he needs in his headspace at the moment.
While waiting to hear what happen, Opal began examining the wound, frowning a bit. The lacerations were long and undoubtedly hurt, but thankfully weren’t as deep as it looked. “Well, the good news is it didn’t go deep enough to hit the spin, and the bleeding is slowing down, so nothing major was hit. The bad news is you are going to need stitches on at least two of these. Going to have a wicked scar and a soar back for a while till your aura fixes it.” Said as he stood up and turned to the table, picking up a pair of scissors and cleaning materials.
“Okay, fair warning, I need to cut what is left of your shirt off so I can clean the wound, so I appreciate it if you don’t roll over.” It was a bit awkward, to say the least, but Opal was doing his best to sound professional. He had stitch people up before, but never a girl that would be pretty much topless. “And don’t worry, I’ll get you another once I’m done.” Pausing for a moment before getting to work.
Why in the hell did she need a needle? She'd need to ask about whatever that meant after she wasn't bleeding so much, but the help was much appreciated as she was helped to one of the beds, which Chloro flopped onto her front with a grunt, slowly shifting herself into position so the long haired... girl? Guy? Chloro wasn't sure right now but it didn't matter. So long they could examine and fix her is all that mattered. What happened was a lot of Grimm, and the fact there was an apparent ban on fighting Grimm because of some Festival would've been fantastic knowledge to know! She struggled to get her scroll out so she could anger / frustration type out to the girl. Another time a voice would've been great. Bloody hell...
"Firstly, I can't talk so this will have to do. Secondly, the information about a ban on Grimm hunting would've been great to know this morning, it was done training against Grimm in the surrounding forests. Thank god it didn't go too deep." She would show the "medic" the message, wincing in pain as she shifted to move. Having to cut her shirt off to get to the wounds? It wasn't that she didn't mind, she just didn't exactly want to get a new one, this ones been with her for years now. Oh well, sentemental value comes second to survival. "Cut it off, rip it off for all I care, just please tell me this won't hurt so much. Sorry about barging in, I'd do this myself if it wasn't on my spine." The offer for another shirt was presented though, and she gave a quick nod before moving again so she was face down on the bed, gripping the pillow in pain and letting out some pained groans.

Thankfully laying down helped with the bleeding allowing Opal to work to clean the area of the wounds without much trouble. He was starting to worry a bit about the girl as he hasn’t heard a sound from her. That when he saw her struggling with something before showing him a scroll with something on it. “…Can’t talk…” He said to himself, looking from the scroll to the girl. Okay, this was a first for him, that was for sure, he thought while reading.
Shaking his head as he read the last bit. “Well, I don’t know what to tell you. Should have gotten a text or something on your scroll about it.” Fighting the urge to check his own to make sure. That didn’t matter right now, however, as he nodded to himself. “Right then. As for the pain, let me get that.” Said as he reached out, hovering his hand over her wound. “This going to feel a little weird, but trust me.”
With that, Chloro would feel a slow cold sensation wash over her back, numbing her back and the pain. Using a little trick, he learns from a while back Opal used his ice to numb part of the girl back. It wasn’t meant to last long to avoid any sort of frostbite and damage, but it would do enough to allow someone to relax as he works.
“How’s that? Any better? I’m Opal, by the way. Sorry in a hurry, forgot to say.” He asked, cutting the last of the shirt away and cleaning the cuts. “No worry. If you are injured, then barge right in. It's what the place is meant for anyway. Anyway, before the numbing goes away, I need to stitch you up.” Picking up a hook needle from the table along with some silk thread.
“Now, please don’t move while I’m doing this. Rather not slip. So, if you need to say something, just up your scroll. I can see it from here.” Said flashing a smile as he went to work stitching up the girl.

She winced as the coldness came over her back, but began to relax as the pain seemingly began to numb itself away. Whatever this person was doing, it was nice and pleasant. With the scroll, she began to search through it to find any sort of alerts, which rewarded her with what Opal said to be true. There was a notification that Grimm hunting was banned for now, and she just planted her head into the pillow and groaned. How could she have been so stupid! Lifting her head from her silent scream, she tapped away at her scroll as Opal kept talking, just updating the message each time something new came up.
"Good to see you Opal, name is Chloro, and please just patch me up, it's not a good sight." She could then feel the needle go to work, wincing with each movement of the sharp metal. This was such a stupid spot to be in, if only she would look around her scroll a bit more she would've found that stupid notification. "I apologise for all this hassle, I've just found the message from the faculty about the Grimm. What on earth happened at this festival? I kept to myself, not a fan of huge crowds."

With deft fingers, Opal worked away to sew up the wounds. Occultly glancing up to see if the girl wrote anything on her scroll not to miss anything. It was an interesting approach to dealing with being mute, at least that was the conclusion Opal came to about Chloro. Maybe it was something else, but he didn’t want to pry into someone's personal life without reason. Either way, it made him feel a little awkward, as if he were talking to himself in the room alone. On the bright side, it helped him forget about the topless girl on the bed before him. Well, that and the blood.
However, his hands froze in place at the mention of the festival. His mind instantly going back to that night along with a ping of guilt. It had left the young man with mixed emotions ever since he had heard of the outcome of the night. And of the death(s). “You… you haven’t heard?” He asked softly but willing his fingers to continue their work. It was all the news wanted to talk about for a few days, so he was a little shocked she didn’t know.
He had figured she must have heard at least one of the many stories that were going around that night. Some saying that Haven saved the day while others painted them as incompetent fools who couldn’t even protect the people at their doorsteps. The worst was how the news painted the late Holly Hock. “A lot happened there. I’m not fully sure of the detail, but I was there. It becomes a bit of a madhouse for a time. A race riot broke out with some Human’s extremism showing looking to start a fight.”
That had been the easy part of the night, sadly enough. “But then…” Pausing to think of the right way to faze the statement. The story was that the girl was a terrorist of all things and attacked the festival. “Then I don’t really know what happens.” He said suddenly, an edge now to his voice as he pulled the last thread. “They said a student from Haven attacked people and even killed a few. I was there! I know some people were hurt, but no one died! Other than Holly…” At least no one died from Holly's doing, but that didn’t stop them from placing the blame on some poor sick person.
Shaking his head Opal grabbed the scissors, cutting the thread free. “Sorry, it was a rough night. Anyways that should do for the stitches. Just need to wrap you up, and you should be good.” Clapping his hand together as he set everything back onto the table. “You need to take it easy for a few days so your aura can do it work. Otherwise, it might leave scars. Also, come back in about a week so we can take the stitches out. Now then.” Said, picking up a roll of bandages pausing, realizing just how he would do this part.
“Umm guessing you might want to do this part yourself?” Giving a nervous laugh while placing the roll on the bed. “I’ll look away and umm see about getting that shirt I mention.” More than happy to put his mind to something else than to remember the White Night.
She relaxed her body as much as she could, letting Opal to work on her back carefully, but the pain was still there, albeit numbed by the cold. It was a relaxing cold too which helped, but when Opal froze for a moment, she strained to turn her head to face him, wincing slightly but managed to get half of her head to be visible. When he asked, she shook her head. She didn't listen to news, she only heard something happened at the festival and that it was big. She quickly tapped away and held her scroll up. "I don't listen or watch the news. I barely talk to others outside of being dragged to do things by them. Bit of a recluse by habit, been on my own for a while now so I don't get disappointed by companions."
It was the truth, yet a depressing truth. She trusted herself to get things done, and no one else yet. Maybe Bianca during missions though, but that was yet to be seen so far. She let her doctor continue with the story, listening intently whilst he spoke. A riot broke out apparently, caused by extremist humans and alot was pinned on this Holly Hock girl, who was dead now. That was definitely some festival. But it definitely sounded like a rough night, as he said. Once he was finished with her back, she winced and gritted her teeth as she pushed herself up, taking the bandage and quickly typing in her scroll.
"I might have a shirt back at my room, I can't remember." She would then start to work on the bandages, wrapping it around her lower torso and curling it around to her upper torso, so it covers her small chest and ribs, as well as part of her belly. With the lack of shirt, she looked woefully underweight, to the point that her ribs poked through slightly, being able to see the indentations of them through her skin. It was almost sickly underweight. Once fully wrapped, she took a deep breath before looking at Opal for a moment before back to her scroll. "If I have nothing at my room, could you show me some places in the city? A bit of a weird request but I didn't bother with clothes for a while so I don't know."

“Is that so? Well, disappointed or not, it still better to do your hunts with someone.” Said, walking away after reading her message. He wasn’t lecturing the girl by any means and was guilty of it as well. Granted, he spent the time studying the Grimm’s rather than hunting, but it boiled down to the same thing in the end. One wrong move or decision and they would never find the body…
A sobering thing to think just how many students or otherwise was lost that way. A thought he rather not thinks about as he pulled out a large box from under one of the tables that were being used as a sort of Lost and Found. It was surprising that people would forget during their little stay at the nurse's office. There was everyday stuff like pens, books, a shoe? How did someone forget a shoe? Shrugging, he dug around a bit more coming up with a dead scroll, some magazines that he was pretty was taken and not lost, and a… shirk. Okay, yeah. He was going to have to clean this out later.
“So yeah, it looks like we’ll out of luck with the shirt…” Opal said, turning back but trailing off watching Chloro finish her wrapping. He couldn’t help hardening his eyes, seeing her ribs completely forgetting he was looking at a half-naked girl. It didn’t take a genius to see she was underweight and had to catch himself speaking too quickly. Was there someone wrong, or was she not eating? Growing up with two sisters, Opal knew enough to tiptoes around some subject when he didn’t know everything.
Realizing he had been staring at what was essentially was her chest Opal quickly shook his head clear. “Wait, what?!” He asked, pausing in his steps. “Go shopping?” He had to admit it was an odd request, but he guesses she was new to the city maybe. “Well,…” He thought about it for a moment, looking around and sighing. “I was the one who cut up your shirt, so I can’t really say no. Yeah, okay. I was done here for the night anyway.” As he did a quick lap around the room, putting things back and making sure everything was how he found it. Quickly grabbing up a long blue jacket with white fur from the back of a chair as he passes only to hand it to Chloro.
“Here. It cold out and can’t have you walking around topless, now can we?” He teased before helping her if it was needed to put on or off the bed. With that, he would follow her to wherever she needed to check while thinking of where might be the best place for them to shop. Pausing in his thought to study the girl once more to think maybe getting something to eat might not be a bad idea either…
Chloro laid still as Opal made a hunt for a spare shirt incase they had any. It was true that hunts would roll better if you had another to join in, so maybe Bianca would pull through and we'd get a good hunt mission to do together. It had been a very very long time since fighting Grimm besides her initiation and the recent training session that resulted in the hospital visit, so this would be a good refresher. She would make sure the bandages that was wrapped around her torso were tight enough that it kept the blood in and the breathing unrestrained.
When she looked up after finishing, she saw Opal staring momentarily at her, with a strangely hardened gaze. Was something wrong? She looked down at her chest and legs, then to her sides before looking up and tilting her head. Nothing seemed to be wrong, so why was he staring? Whatever it was it could wait, they were gunna go buy a new shirt for Chloro. She watched as he did the lap and cleared up before handing a coat to her. She held it for a moment, before looking up at Opal and nodding lightly, smirking a bit before quickly typing on her scroll and handing it over as she put on the jacket. "Why thank you kind gentleman."
Once "dressed", she took her scroll back and painfully moved off the bed and began walking towards the city. As she walked with Opal, it dawned on her... where are the clothing stores? She's never bought clothes before, let alone really... bought anything. She would just steal it if she absolutely needed it. She stopped for a moment, before turning to Opal and showing a message she had been typing out. "I don't actually know of any clothing stores. I uhh, never really bothered with them before. Do you know any?"

When it came to being open-minded Opal like to think he was a free thinker on most subjects, but he had to admit Chloro was a bit odd. It wasn’t the mute part and honestly impressed with her used of the scroll to communicate. It was far more useful than he had first thought it would be. Making their talks feel more fluid, so long as he could see the scroll. He couldn’t help but smirk while rolling his eyes as she called him a gentleman. With a practice step, he gave a smooth bow to the girl with closed eyes and a smirk. “But of course, my dear. We are but beast without manners.”
Remembering the few lessons his sister made him take once their family began to move up the social ladder. He didn’t really care for it, but it made her happy while also allowed him not to look the part of a fool during events. Still, not wanting to give off the air of some noble-born Opal quickly started walking, softly patting Chloro on the head as he passes. “Now come on Pipsqueak. Let’s go before it get too dark.” Pausing only long enough to read her newest message making him think to himself for a bit as they walked.
So, she didn’t know of any stores which to shop at. Well, that was understandable if she new to the city, but it was the way she said that puzzled him the most. Never really bothered with them before. That was an odd way to phrase that, so maybe they were more self-sustaining from where she was from. Either way, it wasn’t his business, and didn’t want to make her feel awkward if he could help it. “I see. Well, can’t say I’m all that fashionable, less so with women's clothing. We can figure that out as we go.” He said while rolling his sleeves down now out in the chill air. “You hungry? I haven’t eaten all day and staving. I know a rather good place on the way to the shopping district."
Taking a moment to pull his scroll out to check the time and nodding as if to confirm something. “And it should be more or less safe to eat there at this time…” He more whisper then said to himself then Chloro. He peeked down at the girl waiting to see what she would say while moving his hands in a few motions once she looked up. Signing to her in sign language. "My treat."

Chloro would roll her eyes at Opal as they left, the comment he made being too corny and cheesy to even be acknowledged properly. It truly was terrible, but as they walked it made her chuckle silently as they left the gates of Haven. It was a bit chilly without the shirt underneath, but the coat that Opal provided was good enough for now. She was used to the cold winter temperatures of Haven, she's had to sleep it in many times before. The Pipsqueak comment had made her frown more, lightly shoving Opal as she rolled her eyes again and brought out her scroll. "Don't be a lil shit or I'll walk myself back!"
As they strolled in psuedo-silence of the moment, Chloro kept listening to passerbys as they walked, as she kept unnaturally close to Opal due to the cold, some of the people that walked passed made some faces of... strange expressions. It was something she didn't understand, they looked happy or something. Happy for them. Why? She disregarded their reactions as they walked, and Opal would come out with the idea for food. She hadn't eaten all day either but felt fine... then again she should probably eat at least SOMETHING. After all, yesterday she went without food. Even though the school provided more than enough, it was habit to space her meals days at a time. A very hard habit to break. Eating anything more than she normally would made her feel sick, and that usually meant vomiting. She thought on it then looked up to nod when she noticed him do some things with his hands, causing her eyes to light up.
He know sign language. No one knew that.
She would nod slowly before smiling and signing back. "Thank you. I didn't know you knew this." She would hesitantly sign back to him, pocketing her scroll for the first time in... forever it felt. She didn't like relying on it for communication so the fact Opal knew sign language was huge. It did cause something to stir inside too, which she believed to be what Berwyn and Bianca had taught her about back at the diner, so she made some mental notes on that. "What else do you know?"

He laughs as he was shoved lightly making him hold up his hands in surrounded. “Right. Sorry, sorry.” He couldn’t help himself at the time since it wasn’t often, he was the taller one around. Most of the time he was the pipsqueak even among the girls. So, it was a little nice to be on the other side for once, but he knowingly decided to keep that part to himself. Beside something else was starting to catch his attention as they walked down the sidewalk of the Wind District. While he didn’t know the people of the area by name, he had walked this path enough time so speak with most at least once or twice. So, it made him curious for the reason he was getting some looks. Nothing bad as far as he could tell just looks…
Weird, but it didn’t seem like anything to worry about as he turned his attention back to Chloro and nodded sliding his hands into his front pockets. “Yeah, my grandfather taught me a while back. Said it would be something useful to know. Honestly, you’re just about the first one I have gotten to use it with. So, bear with me if I’m a bit rusty at it.” Said while ending it with an “Okay?” sign at the end. He did notice the change once she learns he could read sign language. So maybe the old man was right about it after all. It made him wonder if maybe it felt more natural this way than with having the barrier of the scroll there.
At her last question, he just shrugged as they started walking toward their destination. “Well, that’s a broad question.” He teased before reaching up to scratch his nose. “If you mean like sign language not much. I mostly learned it as part of my teaching. I’m studying to be a doctor, so The Old Man thought it best if I dabble in a bit of everything.” He spoke while keeping one eye on the sidewalk and one on Chloro in case she said something. He never really like talking about himself and decided to change the subject a bit.
“How about you? Are you new to Mistral?” He asked since it seemed she didn’t really know where most of the shopping area was. They would walk a bit longer before coming to a stop in front of a building with a clear sign naming it the New Emerald. It was a popular hot spring of the area that cater to all the district and honestly would have been a very weird place to bring someone to eat, let alone a girl he just met. If not for the fact his mother had built on the pub in recent years. He had already planned on stopping by for a bite to eat even before everything.
However, he didn’t really plan on telling Chloro it was family own as he had never really like it. It always felt like bragging about it, but he also wasn’t above good food on a tab. That and the fact is was Faunus own and run made it one of the safer places from them to eat without some possible incident. It was stupid that he even had to think about such things, but it was what it was. At least for the time being.
Nodding toward a set of doors a little farther he started walking again. “Don’t let the sign fool you. It has a rather good pug attracted to it and it should be slow right about this time of day. Right before the night rush.” So, continuing his little jab from before she smirks as he held the door open for Chloro while signing “Ladies first” to her.
Opal, despite the professional nature he held during his work in that medical office, seemed all around quite relaxed. It was comforting to be around, as most of the time Chloro was stressing on making ends meet, making sure the poor that relied on her assistance and making sure she wouldn't get caught by anyone. So right now, despite the fact she would need to thieve more tomorrow, she was relaxed right now. She felt good about that. It had been a while since she last had a day to herself after all.
Opal went on about how his grandfather had taught him how to speak in signs and his reasoning seemed solid. When you work in a profession that Opal seemed to be going for, you never know who might walk through the door. She gave a nod of acknowledgement at the signed confirmation of his rustiness. It was just good to see that someone else knew it. She signed back swiftly in response "Okay, still very impressive." As for her question, it was just more of affirmation to the same she already knew. Although, the next question caught her off guard. New to Mistral? That would depend on context and situation. New to how she lived now? Absolutely, new to Mistral? Nope.
She thought about it up till they stopped infront of... of a hot springs? Just what sort of trip was this? Yeah she felt some things but this seemed a bit... much. "I'm relatively new to Mistral, yes." It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the truth either. But back to this establishment, she then gave a very inquisitive gaze at Opal, taking a few looks at the establishment. As they walked closer, Opal thankfully explained the situation and she laughed silently. It would've been rather strange for a first visit be to a hot springs after all. Then again, what are hot springs like? Her hands got to work to communicate again. "A pub eh? Sounds good. What are hot springs anyway? I've never been." She would sign out as she stepped into the building with a bow of her head in thanks.
Inside looked bright and beautiful, as well as smelling really nice. Was this the hot springs he mentioned? Once inside, Chloro took a step to the side and allowed Opal entrance into the building, waiting to follow on his heels to wherever they were going. She caught a small hint of food in the air as well, which caused her stomach to growl and howl in protest, which she went slightly red in the face from the sound that came from her guts. "Maybe I'm a bit hungry." She spoke with her hands.

It was only after they started going into the door that the realization hit him like a truck causing the boy to rub the back of his head in embarrassment. He was so used to coming to the place that he had completely forgotten what it might look like to someone who didn’t know about the pub side of the building. After all, what did it say about him bring a girl he just met to a hot spring. “Hey, sorry. Guess I should have explained it a bit.” Giving a small awkward laugh as they walked in. “Kind of slipped my mind that some people don’t know.”
The inside of the place was lively even with the few people that were there. Some even giving a wave or greeting to Opal as they walk past. A few of the men even giving him a smirk seeing the girl next to him. Opal tried his best to try and not noticed the teasing as he didn’t want to draw more attention than they might already have. “Oh? So, you are new. Well, if you ever need any help let me know. It’s gotten a bit confusing with its layers.” Said coming to a stop in front of a booth against a wall. He figures her back might still be sort of he guessed a booth with its soft backing might be best.
Taking a seat in the booth he got comfy as he waited for Chloro to sit and someone come for their order. Given how slow things were he figures it wouldn’t take long. “Oh, right you asked about the hot spring?” Turning toward her in their seats. “Well, it sorts of like a bathhouse, I guess. It's natural hot water that comes up from the underground. Some say it has healing effects, but other than being good for skin I wouldn’t read too much into that stuff.” He said leaning forward a bit on the table to talk when he suddenly froze hearing a voice call out to him from behind.
“Oh my, Opal~. What do we have here?” A cat ear woman with green hair said as she walked up to the table with an ear-to-ear grin. Instantly Opal openly groans as his head hits the tabletop with a light bump. With woman was obviously a waitress, but clearly knew the young man. “Finally decide to bring your little girlfriend around, hmm? Shame your mother already went home for the day. Anyway my name Mint, a pleasure to met you dearly.” She said happily turning from Opal to Chloro. That smirk never leaving her face.
“She not my girlfriend, Mint. Chloro a friend from the academy.” He said before picking his head back up and turning to glare up at the cat who either didn’t see or most likely didn’t care. Of all the people he knows of course she would be the one to find them and misunderstood everything. “Ohhh? So, you let just any girl walk around with your coat when it cold out?” While it was asked like a question, he knew her long enough to know it was more of a statement. She had him there as he didn’t even really stop to think about how that looked. It was sort of rare to ever see him without it as he kind of needed it because of his semblance.
Sighing Opal turned back to Chloro as he began to sign to her. “Sorry about this. She my aunt. Sort of. She likes to tease people so try not to let it get to you. It only makes her want to do it more.” Thankful that they had a way of talking that left Mint in the dark. This causes the cat to pout as she places some menus down. “Now that’s not fair one bit. Keeping secrets already?” Said in a huff while taking out a small pad of paper. “Well, you are at that age, I guess. Anyways what you two want to drink?” After getting water from Opal, she would wait to hear from Chloro before leaving to get their drinks.
“Sorry about that.” He said at last feeling his own face heating up from the exchange. “Guess I got she was working today. Wonder if that was her or a clone?” He thought out loud before deciding it didn’t really matter. “I’ll set it right later.” Sighing as he pushed his hair back over his head and out of his face. “Anyways get what you want. Not sure what you like, but they have a rather good selection here.”
Once inside, it was quite active and bustling even though it admittedly was quite empty right now. Maybe that was normal? Everyone seemed happy and enjoying themselves, so maybe she should relax a bit more. Opal offered to help her find her way around which was helpful... if she didn't already know the city like the back of her hand. She could show him all the small holes, paths and safe routes in the entire city. She just needed the help knowing where to go for normal people stuff. She is far from normal after all. She gave a nod to her new friend as they found a booth to sit in, and she would get into the seat next to Opal, as the cushioning was good on her back.
Opal then described just what a hot spring was, which started to make a bit more sense. Not only did it make sense though, it sounded really nice. Could soothe her back in ways she's never been able to manage. Taking a mental note to ask later, she would turn her attention to just what the place would offer, that voice that made Opal froze also made Chloro jump. Spinnning her head to the approaching waitress who regarded her as the girlfriend, she didn't really understand for the first few seconds before her eyes widened and her face reddened. THAT'S why she was getting looks on the way here! Coughing and wincing in pain from said cough, she would sign with her hands to her "date" now apparently, trying to get some clarification on this Aunt Mint. "Does she also know sign language?"
Once the question was out, it seemed the aunt was definitely the waitress too, so she looked around on the menu before thinking for a moment and holding up the menu and pointing to one of the stronger ales in the establishment before setting the menu down again. This was like that diner experience again, and hopefully she wouldn't get strange looks from families for day drinking.
Then, the girl went off to get their drinks, and the pain in her throat was starting to get uncomfortable as well, which was a bad start. Thankfully drinks should be here soon and she could soothe it. Nodding to Opal, she looked through the food that was available and most of it... sort of fell on blind eyes. She wasn't sure what was good, well, all of it looked good. But she's never dined in a pub for lord's sake. After a bit of confused looks, she set the menu down and looked up to Opal and signed back to him her confusion. "I don't know what any of this is or what's good, can you choose for me?"
