This whole night went from zero to fucked in a matter of no time and it really pissed her off. It wasn't a fun fight or crazy chaos, but the kind that frustrated her to no end...the kind that she couldn't control. At least back home Rose was the one causing problems for others...not the other way around. And it wasn't as if she cared about the safety of these people either! If they burned alive, then it wasn't like she would shed a tear or anything!

Right...?

So then, why was it that Rosalia felt this way? Why did she feel an ache in her heart when seeing the burning remains of the pumpkin? It hurt to think that Holly was gone and she hated this feeling! Fuck! There was nothing to be done for the pinkette, may she rest in peace...but there was still someone who was all alone and most likely terrified. Fable. Another person that Rose never dreamed in a million years that she would care about and yet she did?

"God damn fucking stupid ass Fox!"

She screamed the curse into the cool night air, whirling on a street light and punching it hard with all of her might! A very sizable dent was engraved into it and the structure swayed back and forth before tipping over, smashing onto the ground with a heavy thud. The ambulance had a head start ahead of Rose and most likely would reach the hospital soon, so she had to hurry. Things could possibly escalate with the wild Fox girl and the staff wouldn't be equipped to handle her. She was, after all, a Huntress in training.

Rose fired up her semblance, channeling Marauder in a swirl of scarlet red energy that kicked up her disheveled hair. There was no time to change or even clean up after the disaster of the festival, so the blonde was dashing towards the building covered in cuts, scratches, and dirt...here's hoping that she could bum a shower when she arrived.

The night air breezing past her woke the girl up some, especially with the loss of her jacket. It was with Fable at the moment and Rose could definitely feel goosebumps prick up across her skin from the cold. It did little to offer any clarity though to her current thoughts...why did she even care? It wasn't like her to care about anyone but herself and yet she had cried over this Fox girl.

"What...in the actual hell is wrong with me?"

[Fable]

The arctic fox had passed out roughly thirty minutes prior. A wild vine had slapped her across the face, with enough force to send her tumbling across the fair like a rocket propelled piece of debris. Things had crashed, things had hurt and been unpleasant. Until, for some reason, her body hadn't wanted to be awake. Thanks to her aura, the arctic fox would walk away from the exchange with only minor injuries. That is, if the arctic fox would've been a good girl and caused no issues. Doctors who had checked up on her suspected a light fracture at the base of her neck. Something that, if Fable was going to keep still for a couple of days and wear a neck brace without complaining would cause little to no problems. However, should Fable be running around, bouncing up and down, refusing to wear the neck brace and get into other kinds of trouble, the fracture could potentially become something a lot worse than irrelevant. Unfortunately for everyone, Fable was far from a good girl. Waking up in a panic, with her body responding, with a doctor currently in the middle of applying the neck torture device called a brace, Fable had sprung up, elbowed the fat mustard moustache man in the face, possibly breaking his nose. Fortunately for Fable, the good medical staff had dealt with delusional patients before - and since her head had been rattled, they had been reasonably prepared for this outcome. Before many moments passed, Fable had been lightly sedated, arms gently strapped to the side of the bed and the neck brace put in place. All for the sake of preventing Fable from hurting herself. The sedation was kept relatively minimal, only enough that she wouldn't be struggling. However, they wanted her awake and lucid so they could ask questions and figure out if her range of movements had been affected. Though, judging by how she had just elbowed a doctor in the face, it seemed she was fine on that account. 


To Fable however, the sentiment that this was to prevent her from hurting herself was completely lost. The girl was trying to struggle free, trying to scream, trying to do all sorts of things, though it didn't seem to get her anywhere at all. This, in her mind, was how prison was. Tied down, locked up, unable to do anything. Freedom captured, until you became an old fox and died. It was every single of Fable's worst fears realized and actualized, with her stuck in the very middle. As such, the arctic fox was emotional. Scared. Crying her eyes out for release...

It was a long trek through the cold night air and Rose could feel her teeth start to chatter as the wind stung at her cut up face. She shut an eye tightly and bit back the pain, instead channeling it into her semblance to push even further beyond! To any stragglers still out and about, it must have been so bizarre to seeing a raging storm of scarlet lightning flaring through the city and kicking up a massive dust cloud in it's wake.

Only when the hospital came into view did Rose breath even the hint of relief as she neared the emergency room entrance. She held onto her momentum and flung her arms back just as she reached the door and then flung herself into the air, performing a spinning twirl that flourished the blonde through the doorway with ease! Touching down in the lobby, she landed on the tips of her toes and spun like a ballerina to disperse the remaining force and aggressively halted it with a stomp of her foot. Some of the patients who were waiting clapped and some looked at her like she was an asshole...regardless, Rose didn't care about them. There was only one person that mattered right now.

She approached the front desk and rested her arms on the counter, giving a tired deadpan look to the receptionist. The old woman stared back with just as much dead enthusiasm. "Can I help you?"

Rose nodded carefully, swaying her long flowing hair as she did. "Yeah, an ambulance showed up here a bit ago? Brought in a Fox Faunus? I need ta see her."

The woman sighed, leveling her gaze. "Are you a relative of the patient?"

Rose hesitated, but shook her head starkly. "No, but I'm a classmate. I-"

"She's not allowed guests. Visiting hours are almost up, Miss-"

"Please!" Rose pleaded, giving the woman a startled pause. "...please...you don't understand. She's all alone and she's scared with no one she knows around her. Fable, well...it must be so scary. I don't know! I just...I just want-I..."

Rose's voice caught in her throat and she couldn't talk anymore. She was starting to hiccup and her frame was oddly fragile. The receptionist waved her hand and an older man was soon by her side.

"Dr. Calvin, ain't this the Pumpkin Pete girl? Don't you think we can make an...exception this once?"

The man raised a brow for a moment, but once he glanced at Rose he caught on and nodded. "Why I think it is! Heh, you're looking for the young lady in room 520. Follow me, dear."

The lady leaned forward over the counter and stroked a finger across Rose's cheek...and it wasn't until she did so that Rose realized...that she was crying.

"Go see your friend, sweetie. Go on."

Rose clutched her hand briefly and mouthed a 'thank you' before following the doctor through the halls. He explained the situation as they walked about the sedation which made Rose worry even more. She was fighting them...it made her bite her lip subconsciously as she listened.

The halls were run by a skeleton crew by now, the night shift. It was already past visiting hours, but none of the staff stopped her or Doctor Calvin. She stopped at the door and the man clapped her on the shoulder with a grin before opening the door. Rose breathed in a heavy sigh and stepped inside where a small team was questioning her friend. They glanced up to see the doctor gesture toward them and the adults gathered to leave...shutting the door quietly to leave Rose alone with Fable.

The blonde sucked up her tears and strode toward the bed, clenching her fist to keep her feelings under control. Fable had been crying. She could see it plain as day on the Fox's tormented face...and so Rose gingerly reached out to rest her hand on Fable's.

"Hey there, Fable. I uh...um...came as fast as I could. Sorry it took me forever. Musta been scary as fuck in this weird place, huh? Well them people are gone and I ain't leavin' ya. Ya hear me?"

Rose felt a tear roll down her cheek, along her nose...and plop onto Fable's cheek as she hung over her.

"Damnit...ya really scared me, Fox. I've...lost too many friends. Ain't...*hick*...ain't losin' you too."

[Fable]

Fable had long since cried the tears that she could over her capture. At this point, the fox had gotten somewhat numb to the situation. When the screaming, agony and hatred for everything had given way, there wasn't exactly much left. A lingering unhappiness, yet not one that would drive the arctic fox into anything. Struggling against the bonds had proven futile excessively quickly. Struggling against the doctors and nurses had proven equally as hopeless. So eventually, after quite a bit of fighting and struggling, the fox was just lying there on her back, staring into the ceiling. It was a quiet submission, accepting that she had lost the fight against her worst nightmare. Accepting that she would have to lie here, on her back, waiting for death to come by and claim her..


Though, when the door opened, it wasn't some skeletal reaper looking to claim her life. Nor was it another doctor or nurse who needed their face broken in. It was a face that Fable had seen a couple of times before, on and off. Flower-girl Blondie. Ears, which had otherwise been completely without focus, turned towards blondie. Eyes which seemed bereft of life or will to fight, suddenly reignited. As Rose touched Fable's hand, the girl yanked at the constraints, thinking she had been put free. Yet, unfortunately, that was not that case...


"Flower let fox go! Fable wants out! Fox not done bad not need be in prison! Prison is for bad, fox not bad!! Fable told them she wasnt bad but they still kept her in prison!" Fable sputtered out machinegun esque.  Eyes were quite intense looking at Rose, it was clear that she felt imprisoned and saw the blonde as a means of escaping. The gentleness and the soft happiness completely lost on Fable. Afterall, the world would cease to exist if Fable ceased to ecist. Everything in this world revolved around her, duh.

The gentle touch was met with such intense resistance that Rose jerked her hand back. She sucked in a harsh breath that caught painfully in her throat as she hiccupped. Fable was clearly in agony, not just from the attack earlier but from being so tightly confined to the bed.

The fox yelled at Rose, sputtering so fast that her words were almost incoherent to the blonde. Almost. She bit her lip softly to hold back the ache in her heart from seeing the girl like this, struggling so fiercely. There was no window in the dark room and only the one door led out into the hallway. It did feel like a prison. A painful, lonely and terrifying prison...and Rose would not allow this to continue.

Sparks of scarlet lightning zapped the air, faintly lighting the room with brief spurts of nearly blinding red. Rose let her lip go and bared her teeth angrily at seeing the damage these doctors had done. Fable would recover physically, but the mental pain must have been agonizing.

The marauder grabbed a chair nearby and slid it across the floor to the door, scraping it loudly along the way. She wedged it up under the doorknob to keep the staff from entering and whirled around on the ball of her heel to face Fable.

"Damn straight ya ain't bad! But you are a fuckin' IDIOT! Takin' a hit like that and shit!"

Rose stomped towards the bed with a glare of steel, baring down on the Fox as she seized the restraint on her wrist.

"Ain't no one keepin' ya down ever again, ya hear me!?"

The belt wasn't just undone. Rose clutched it tight and tore the entire restraint from it's hinges! As more and more lightning flared up around her, it licked at Fable harmlessly in a swirling torrent of chaotic colors!

"Never again!"

She ripped the bonds away from Fable's legs, from around her stomach, and around her other wrist...tossing them all across the room to slam uselessly against the far wall. Rose widened her gaze and took a step back, readying herself for Fable in case the girl would try to dash past her.

"Fox come with Flower." Rose barked, adopting Fable's unique way of talking. Her hand reached straight out, palm open invitingly.

"Flower will take Fox home. OUR home."

[Fable]

Fable was getting up the instant that she had been freed from the constraints, with a fervor that was inexplicable. They had taken it from her, and it was one of the main reasons for her current disdain and distress. The Katana, Yukihime, was probably the only posession in the world that Fable cared enough for, to go hunt down eternally if someone was to take it from her. Certainly, taking anything from the Fox was ill adviced as she would punish anyone she was capable of harshly. However, most things taken from her, if they were too difficult to get back, she would shrug off. The sword however, was never going to be taken from her. Immediately getting to her feet, heading straight for the little cupboard. Pulling out the lowest drawer, the sheathe was there, with the blade still inside. The dirty doctors hadn't lied! Grabbing the katana Yukihime with a sigh of relief, Fable turned towards the blonde, as all tension began leaving her body. All focus had been drained. There was a hint in her eyes that something wasnt quite right. In fact, it seemed like she wasnt even looking directly at Rose when speaking. Something was off, for the fox was always as direct as could be.


"Rose take fox out of prison, fox go home, fox go.." Wobbling on her feet, it had taken a little time for it to happen, but due to the anesthetics and sedation in her system, combined with the fact that she had been lying on her back for an extended period of time, Fable heaved, puffing her cheeks and barely managing to contain the vomit. Now, however, she also lacked oxygen. The sensation of air coming up through her stomach, rising through the throat, all the while blood was running from her head and down into her feet because of gravity. In a simultaneous action, Fable began falling sideways, as her stomach churned. Mouth forced open from the gag reflex, Fable began vomitting while halfway upright. The eyes had gotten unfocussed, as all energy had left the fox's body in the blink of an eye.  


Whether caught or not, the door was being knocked. "Hey, girlie, what are you doing?? The fox has hurt her neck, it could be broken! If you hurt her any, you will be prosecuted by... oh for heavens sake get the door open!"
