TRP is a post-Great War AU RWBY RP set in Mistral City and Haven Academy with no canons, no rank claims, no maidens, and no god interference. We offer a progression system and site-wide events that change the setting based on player actions.
Alright, just to keep things organized for my sanity here’s the OOC signups for our second Event, detailed here.
You’re protecting the Argus Limited and its cargo in a dangerous trip from Mistral to Argus, fighting off any Bandits or Grimm you encounter along the way. Initial assignments are two to a train car, barring the first two. There’s no set end date for this, but you’re going to have at least a week to sign up OOC. Any additional features and general difficulty are noted in parenthesis. More cars will be added as needed. Maximum of one character per player is allowed unless that player also DMs a thread. If the player DMs a thread, this limit is increased to two. If anyone is interested in storytelling one of these feel free to DM me because that would be a solid help.
Car 3 (Wider windows, D rank difficulty): Qiu'li and Ruqa. Car outfitted with traps.
Car 4 (Tinted windows, E rank difficulty): Argent and Braun. Car barricaded and outfitted with extra ammo supplies.
Car 5 (Normal car, C rank difficulty): Carmim and Nikolas. Car outfitted with bags of loose sand.
Difficulty ranks refer to the highest rank an enemy can have on that car. For an E rank difficulty tag, for example, the enemy will have at least one E rank skill but none of them will be above that rank. Generally speaking E rank is recommended for characters currently without upgrades, and C rank should be taken with caution by even the strongest characters on the site presently.
Every thread associated with this will have the [Event] tag slapped on the thread title which means that every post in that thread will have 200% XP. Having a completed thread in any of the cars entitles your character to 2 Event Points which can be exchanged for 250XP each. This event is death enabled, meaning that characters can be injured or killed without player consent and the reward is to reflect that added risk.
To sign up, simply post here with what car you want in. Higher difficulties mean more ruthlessness.

To make this explicit because there has been a huge reluctance for our stronger characters to choose anything except the E-rank cars, the following system for Event Points and additional bonuses will be used:
An E rank mission completed by characters with less than 500 experience total earned on their characters will receive 2 Event Points. Anyone above that level completing an E rank mission will receive 1 Event Point.
A D rank mission completed by any character will result in 2 Event Points per individual regardless of XP. Characters with less than 500 experience total will receive a flat bonus of 50 experience points for successfully surviving a mission above their level.
A C rank mission completed by any character will result in 2 Event Points per individual regardless of XP. Characters with less than 1000 experience total will receive a flat bonus of 50 experience points for successfully surviving a mission above their level. Characters with less than 500 experience total will receive a flat bonus of 75 experience points for successfully surviving a mission far above their level.
Please note that as long as your character plays smart and doesn't go full Leeroy you should be absolutely fine in an event that is in your correct range. Punching above your weight class increases the risk of injury or death, and extra rewards are given to basically compensate for that additional risk.

Putting Argent in Car 4 with Braun. Requesting bags of ball bearings and extra arrows to be supplied to Argent along with an amount of throwing weapons (knives, shruiken, eg.) Also requesting the ability to control the car's interior lights with his Scroll.

As discussed and mostly agreed by both myself and Jay, I'm requesting that our train car, Car 5, have a reasonable amount of sand in mounds. Think bags of sand being poured out into mounds, spread out in a balanced way around the train car, to serve as both minor ranged cover and to be used as a tool to blind opponents.
Requesting for: -Glue floor trap along the entire floor with the exception of the middle region -Box platforms -Rope ceiling network in cart ceiling as seen here

Request a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a bottle of acetone for use in an emergency if one of the students gets stuck in the glue A paint can filled with leftover glue.
New entrants to this section of the event will be barred as of 00:00 EST on July 8th to allow me the time needed to write every car in a manner that I find to be satisfactory. This event will have a slightly more lax timer than usual at 72 hours since there are less people in every thread and giving more time allows the thread to move at the same pace as a larger one with a 48 hour timer. Each person gets 2 extensions for the duration. Timers are put in place to ensure the thread ends before next February, like all timers.
For those that miss this deadline, a perimeter defense section has been added that will reward one event point upon completion as well to accommodate more people.
