Kill five Grimm, with help from no more than one person. It wasn't a complicated task by any means, just a challenging one. Primrose wasn't fazed, either by the requirement itself or the thought of failure. If she failed, it'd be bad and disappointing, sure- But it'd just mean she'd need to do better in the future. And the other alternative to success and failure was dying, which Prim definitely didn't want, but the possibility came with the territory. It was best just not to think about it happening until it seemed likely, and leaving the worrying for when it was. With any luck, that wouldn't need to be any time soon.
She'd recalled the suggestion of rallying one of the students had made, coming to meet at a base camp of sorts. While Primrose's designation meant she couldn't take full advantage of the benefits of such a place, heading that way didn't seem like a bad idea. If she met with the girl setting it up, she could probably learn some information about the other students testing, and seek out temporary partners to help fulfill both her and the others' goals. So, she'd begun to head north, where the camp was going to be set up.
Along the way there, though, Prim took notice of a few concerning signs- Broken branches, stepped over shrubs, and most notably, footprints, and definitely not human ones. Fortunately, they were directed the same she was going, but ahead, meaning she was pretty likely behind any Grimm. That in mind, the young woman found the nearest tree and pulled herself into the low boughs. The branches between it and the surrounding flora were close enough to leap between, giving her a height advantage on anything on the forest floor. She continued onward for a short while, before hearing rustling a small distance away. Carefully climbing up higher the tree she'd reached, she crept out along a limb, and surveyed the area down below. There were a pair of monsters below- Beowolves, by the looks of it, and bigger than average. Large Beowolves, then. With two of them, it's be important to be wary and careful but they hadn't seemed to notice anything yet. If anything, their attention was pointed in a direction pretty much opposite to Prim. Was there something that way- Negative emotions they detected in the direction? Best not to let them get far enough to find out.
Quietly dropping to a lower branch, Primrose readied her weapons, putting the two halves together so she could convert them to it's axe form during her jump. Then, careful to keep her balance and move silently, she crept forward, preparing to leap down upon the unsuspecting Grimm. Eyes closed, counting mentally, she'd jump when she reached three. One. Two. Thr-
Before the faunus had sprung from the branch, a noticeably metallic clang rang out from below. Surprised, Primrose blinked, and saw that someone else had very swiftly appeared before the beasts. A redhead, more than certainly another student. Well, this was unexpected- But not bad. No better time to strike than when she had a distraction. Quickly scooting back to the other end of the branch, Prim crouched, put all the strength she could muster into her legs and ran forward, springing off the end of the tree limb, Sheer Fractal shifting into it's axe form as she swung down hard, aiming for the Beowolf that the other student had yet to touch.

I'm going to change you like a remix and then raise you like a phoenix.
Brigits time with Ameli was blessedly short, and since her brief run in with the number one ranked student for the midterm she had been slowly trekking her way through the forest in search of other people to guide towards the camp that Ameli was setting up. Such was the bad side of being a rose. She wasn't allowed to refuse team up requests and while this one was a bit strange and possibly wouldn't even count as one Brigit had decided it was better safe than sorry and did what Ameli requested. Her task was simple, find people and then tell then where the camp was and send them that way if they needed it. Though the hope was that one of them would ask her for a team up as well so she could skip the endless walking back and forth through terrain that she found endlessly confusing. Brigit probably spent about half her time going in circles and getting slowly lost amongst the trees. She didn't even have any wildlife to keep her company. All of them kept a large distance from the metal whirring that came with her as she walked, leaving her in complete silence apart from wind and her own legs.
So it was little surprise when she began to hear the breaking of branches and the pounding of large, inhuman footsteps. It was only a matter of time till a Grimm took interest in the noises and came to investigate and it seems that had finally happened. She could hear the branches breaking from quite a distance and took the opportunity that afforded her to extend the weapons from each of her arms and her legs in preparation for the fight that was soon to come. Grimm were so much different from people to fight, they didn't care about injuries or their own safety and they damn well wouldn't surrender like Arrats had done. This would be a good fight, something that would get her blood pumping and activate the adrenaline that she craved. Even the anticipation of that feeling sent her head spinning and made her antsy. She began to hop from foot to foot in place, trying to burn off the excitement that was swiftly bubbling its way to the surface. A real fight, finally.
Moments later the two Grimm were close enough to see her. They were beowolves, the larger ones if she remembered the info she'd read about them, and the moment they saw her there was a pause in their movement. It was only a few seconds but it felt like much longer as the Grimm and the huntress sized each other up before the fight would begin. Brigit made the first move, howling like a madwoman she fired her grapples into the leftmost Grimm and pulled herself towards it as fast as her legs could retract the wire that now connected them. She could feel the adrenaline start to flow and suddenly the world felt so much more alive than it had a second ago. Colors were brighter, her limbs felt like they belonged on her body again, and the wind that rushed against her face as she flew forwards was more refreshing than it ever would have been otherwise. It was bliss, pure and simple, and the joyous almost psychotic laughter that came along with it made how she felt abundantly clear to anyone listening.
She slammed into the beowolf, arms and legs slicing in deadly arcs through the air as she made contact. Her arms found flesh, or whatever you wanted to call it, and bit into the Grimm just before her legs made contact and did much the same. The grapples retracted soon after and Brigit used the chance to kick off of the Grimm's stomach and launch herself backwards a meter or so. She didn't escape unscathed though, and the Grimm made one wide swipe with its paw that caught Brigit in the shoulder, flickering her aura and changing her path through the air to take her off deeper into the trees where she wouldn't be able to grapple as easily. She tumbled, rolling through the underbrush with her arms and legs leaving wide furrows in the dirt where her blades found some purchase. It seemed they were fighting on a hill that Brigit hadn't noticed, and now the two Grimm were barreling down it in a headlong rush towards her. Or they were, for a moment.
She saw a flash of color up near the second Grimm, the undamaged one, and it's attention was abruptly changed to a different target. Another hunter? It must have been, no one else would be out here and fighting Grimm, not during the midterms anyways. Brigit found herself feeling somewhat disappointed, only fighting one Grimm made this much less exciting but it was better than nothing. She regained her footing finally, and prepared to face down the Grimm as it rushed down towards her.

As the other Huntress got pushed back, Primrose leapt through the air with Sheer Fractal at the ready. She put as much force as she could muster in the axe's swing, letting out a heavy grunt as she weight of the weapon carried her forward. Unfortunately, the Grimm was a bit too fast, and while it didn't escape the swing of the blade, the beast managed to move just quickly enough to get away with only a superficial graze. The momentum of the swing carried through to where the Beowulf had been standing before, and the Faunus found her teeth gritting with frustration as the blade became momentarily entrenched in the dirt. With the beast all but directly across from her, Primrose wasted no time in getting out of it's strike range.
There was no time to pry up her axe from the earth - Not yet, anyways - so she didn't bother. As the Beowulf lunged at her, Primrose dove forward, into it's pounce. It didn't seem to have expected that, and while it made to swipe at her, the attack glanced off with a pink flicker, her rosey aura shielding her from direct harm. As the Beowulf made to turn around, the faunus quickly darted to where her blade was, and with a quick press of a button, had split one of the axe's halves from the other. The Beowulf snarled, and lunged again, but this time, Prim was ready. Knees bent, she jumped and gave a powerful swing upwards, her blade connecting with the Grimm's arm. Following through on the jump, the Huntress twirled backwards, set to land about where she had when she'd attacked the Beowulf before. One foot out, she kicked down on the handle of her weapon, generating enough force to pull the other half of her axe from the ground. Seizing it by the middle of it's length, Primrose instinctively swung out as a flash of black moved towards her. Her awkward hold on it's length made the swing's force and momentum veer from what it's normal arc would've been, but it was enough to allow her to parry a slash from the Beowulf. As the beast reared back, the young woman pulled her other blade forward, and pulled the trigger in it's handle. The guns into which the blades were built gave a familiar rattle as several bullets fired in quick succession. Primrose wasn't much of a marksman, but with the Grimm no more than ten feet away, that didn't matter too much. She wasn't sure how many shots actually hit the beast, but enough did to visibly wound it, and get it to back up.
Taking it's brief retreat as an opportunity, Primrose re-attached the blades, returning Sheer Fractal to it's proper axe form. She took a proper grip of it once again, and eyed the Beowulf, now a few feet away. She wasn't sure how the other student was faring with the beast that she'd targeted- Hopefully more smoothly than Prim was with this one right now. Still, this was no time to pessimism. After all, she'd taken significantly less damage than the Grimm had at this point- All it should take was one or two more good hits. Then, it'd be weak enough for a final blow, and she'd have fulfilled one of the three Grimm requirements to pass the midterms.

The Beowolf barreled down the hill towards Brigit, claws spread wide and tearing at the undergrowth as it rushed towards her, gaining speed quickly as it prepared to run straight into Brigit and bowl her over. She had little intention of taking the charge head on, not without doing her own fair share of damage in the process anyways. She took a brief glance up at the top of the hill where she could barely see the other huntsman trainee fighting with the second Beowolf. Then her attention went back to the threat at hand as she lowered herself into a better stance for what she was about to do.
Her grapples fired out into the stomach of the charging Grimm, securing themselves into the shadows that made up the creature. She activated them a moment later, pulling herself forward with about as much speed as the Grimm had in its charge down the hill. Her bladed limbs were all angles to cut the moment she made contact. It was an awful plan by most stretches of the imagination, there was no way to pull this off without taking a massive hit herself. But for Brigit it wasn't even a choice, there was only a small part of her that had any sense of self preservation and that part was so thorughly buried beneath the rush of adrenaline she received from fights like this that it wasn't worth thinking about.
And so she slammed into the Grimm, her aura flickering that firey orange as she took the full speed of the Beowolf to the face. But she got her hits in too, and with the creature already wounded from her previous strike and the two impacts from her grapples it quickly began to dissolve into shadow, it's leftover momentum flinging bridget backwards down the hill. She tumbled down the hill, bouncing through the branches and bushes of the forest all the while giggling like a woman who had lost her mind.
As she rolled to a stop at the bottom of the hill, Brigit slowly stood herself up as the last few giggles bubbled out from her, the adrenaline slowly beginning to leave as the immediate danger had passed. She felt the weight of her limbs once again, the brief illusion of them being flesh and bone fading with the rush and bringing her back to some level of self control. The other hunter was probably still up there, and she had to get this damned midterm objective done so Brigit swiftly began to climb back up the hill to this new person, and to help her if such was required.
