The sunset had colored the room into a bright orange visage. The sounds of clamoring students going along their busy lives were well-missed during this time, as the entire area was nearly silent minus the tapping of Doctor Haragitanai in her office. Since the Attack on Haven, the Doctor managed to get an extension of the infirmary so that she had a small, private nook to herself that was supplemented with a desk and chair for consultation. The counseling area was a little off to the side with it's private divider and beanbag chair while the remaining regions of the infirmary remained relatively the same. At least, as same as she could get it since that intern asshole trashed the place. Fuckin' prick. With the recent opportunity to redecorate, Doctor Haragitanai decided it perhaps time to add some life to the place besides the window.

The room was too sterile, for one. Lots of white walls, floor, and ceiling. While she would prefer to keep the posters up, they were a bit too tacky for her own tastes, so she opted to replace them with shelves to put plants on. Those were nice, and they gave her something to do other than smoke through her packs of cigarettes. Maybe getting in the habit of caring for them would do well. There were five plants in the infirmary, two of which hung from the ceiling by the window, one on a shelf to cover the scorched marks, one tall plant by the small waiting area next to the entrance, and one tiny bonsai that rested on her desk by the picture frame.
While the campus itself was eerily quiet, there were a couple of students that were passing by to get themselves checked out or needed a rest. It wasn't like the entire campus would suddenly halt after an incident like this. Life continued on, that was natural. Regardless, some decided to rest on the beds before heading back to their busy lives. There were only so many beds, one of which was occupied by Holly Hock.

The pink haired female was brought in earlier in the day by a friend, Niraya Platinum. Upon initial admission, she displayed symptoms of overdosing based on her skin pigment and general unresponsiveness. However, with only the words of her friend to go by, Doctor Haragitanai could only administer detoxification tablets as a means to control whatever was inside her system at the time. After she was stabilized, the doctor could get a closer to look at what it was. An herbal concoction it seemed like.

Doctor Haragitanai was not a phytologist or a botanist of any degree, so she had to rely on online sources to figure out what it was. After some sleuthing, all she managed to get was an obscure article with a list of herbs that were grown in the far West towards the mountain regions near Forever Fall. Huh. Used as a healing salve, the herbs were meant to improve healing and not for consumption. Well, she could only guess how she got her hands on these but her decision to eat them was about as logical as drinking rubbing alcohol to kill off germs that made one sick.

Either way, she'd have a talk with Holly about this as soon as she had awaken. For the most part, she had vomited a lot of what she had ingested as well as the charcoal tablets that Doctor Haragitanai had to keep in a nearby pan to prevent the need to replace the sheets constantly. Inside was a putrid mixture of chunks of fruits, black liquid, and more liquid. Doctor Haragitanai made sure to swap out the pans and clean them when she had the chance, but the important part was preventing Holly from becoming dehydrated. Losing fluids was not an ideal outcome, but it was natural when one's body begins to reject anything that it deemed unsafe. How convenient that the body has a natural system like that?

There is a common misconception that anything natural is safe, but that is never always a certainty. There are plenty of herbs and plants that are capable of being poisonous when consumed in the right doses, such as the Belladonna leaf. This was especially important in such a medicine that is intended to numb pain. Ironically, one of the best ways to remedy overdose is natural roots, such as ginger tea.

It was around the time that medicine would be wearing off, according to the online medical resources. Well, it wasn't like it gave her an explicit time since the resources themselves were scarce, so she based them off her own judgement and cross-references with similar incidents. While she waited, Doctor Haragitanai pulled up a stool beside Holly's bed and drew out a scroll to note down any changes to her blood pressure, heart rate, and pulse levels during the time. Beside her was a warm cup of ginger tea, with the ginger root cut into thin slices with a small hint of honey inside.

Once Holly awakens, Doctor Haragitanai would wait a few moments for her to gather her bearings before speaking up.

"Good evening, Miss Hock. You are in the infirmary in Haven Academy. You were brought here by your friend Miss Platinum because you had suffered an overdose. How are you feeling right now?"
