Broken. There was no other word as accurate to describe her current condition. It could be difficult to ascertain what was most readily visible as being completely off. Perhaps it was the fact that she had black bags under her eyes, indicating how little sleep she had gotten in the past week. Perhaps it was the complete lack of makeup or selfcare that had gone into her attire, as everything seemed to be off. Mismatched and uncared for. Perhaps it was the way her right leg was bent in an impossible angle, revealing that her ankle had most definitely been broken. Or, to those with keen eyes, perhaps it was the redness of her hands, that seemed to worsen as you got closer to viewing her wrists, even if she had done the best she could hiding it underneath a long sleeved shirt. Rin was a mess currently, even her hair somewhat unkempt, which was highly unlike the petite redhead. Usually, Rin was sporting new outfits on a weekly basis, having done something interesting. Something colorful. Something new and exciting. Instead, currently, she looked about as bland as one could. Normally floating like a butterfly, currently seeming more like an abandonned cocoon. Grey, emotionless, quiet. Rin was sitting in a chair inside the infirmary itself, with her leg raised up onto a pillow, same height as her hip. Completely stationairy, she was doing her best not to agitate her leg further. It was already stinging rather badly, her pulse resonating with the injury, just from getting to the infirmary on the back of Colton.
The burns from the night she had arrived were also still visible. The fringes of hair that had been caught the worst should've been cut off, yet Rin hadn't done so. Something had prevented her from caring about it. The wounds on her wrists from having sliced into her own skin were also equally fresh. Though these had at the very least been somewhat tended to, as a bandage with disinfectant had been wrapped around either wrist. Besides all the obvious, glaring things that were wrong with her, she seemed to be in moderately okay spirits. Sitting there, calmly, looking around, inspecting the world. A few hours ago, Rin had been completely shut off from the world around her. Completely shut off from any external input. It was only because Colton had demanded her pressence, so he could check up on her mental and physical health after the attack on Haven, that Rin had even gotten out of her room this day. One thing let to another, and Colton had declared that she needed to be treated. That there was no singular way she'd be allowed to continue on with how she was currently looking. Thus, he had assisted the redhead in getting t o the infirmary, assuring her that the Doctor would be in shortly. Before he'd head out to deal with the ones that had caused all of this mental and physical damage to the freshman.
Sighing softly, Rin checked her scroll, pondering. When, where and why would the doctor be?.. Not to mention, who? In her short lifetime, Rin hadn't seen many doctors. Most of the injuries she had sustained through her childhood could be dealt with personally. Plus, the few times she had been hurt worse, Alra had made an effort out of Rin learning to treat it herself. Never know when a little self-care might come in handy afterall. Broken bones, however, were far beyond the skill Rin had to take care of. Even if she somehow managed, it'd likely grow back together poorly, leaving her range of motion limited. This was better left for the professionals.

It seems that things have gradually returned to normal, or at least whatever passed for normalcy nowadays in Haven Academy, but that doesn't mean that there are less things to do. For example, there was still a large portion of student records that hadn't been properly uploaded into the Academy's online storage records before she was dispatched to the remote village. Unfortunately, that same portion was either partially or completely destroyed. Besides the frantic attempt to clean things up, Doctor Haragitanai also used it as a chance to redecorate and expand the infirmary a bit. [break] [break] Since the Attack on Haven, the Doctor managed to get an extension of the infirmary so that she had a small, private nook to herself that was supplemented with a desk and chair for private consultation. Behind her desk was a large light-box for her to inspect x-rays, though she didn't have an x-ray machine so it was pretty much there for aesthetics. The counseling area was a little off to the side with it's private divider and beanbag chair while the remaining regions of the infirmary remained relatively the same. At least, as same as she could get it since that intern asshole trashed the place. Fuckin' prick. With the recent opportunity to redecorate, Doctor Haragitanai decided it perhaps time to add some life to the place besides the window. [break] [break] The room was too sterile, for one. Lots of white walls, floor, and ceiling. While she would prefer to keep the posters up, they were a bit too tacky for her own tastes, so she opted to replace them with shelves to put plants on. Those were nice, and they gave her something to do other than smoke through her packs of cigarettes. Maybe getting in the habit of caring for them would do well. There were five plants in the infirmary, two of which hung from the ceiling by the window, one on a shelf to cover the scorched marks, one tall plant by the small waiting area next to the entrance, and one tiny bonsai that rested on her desk by the picture frame. [break] [break] Doctor Haragitanai also took it upon herself to bring in a series of other things from the unused storage that the Academy had. Notably, one of these was a small water heater that she could use for brewing her teas. She managed to snag a good deal at the local bargain markets for an assorted pack of teabags, and figured now would be a good time to use these. There wasn't really anything special about the waiting area, considering it was just one large room. It was just a series of chairs and couches near the corner of the entrance with a small coffee table in the middle. She thought about putting in a small television but decided not to since the infirmary beds were nearby and the excessive noise would probably be disturbing. She also took the chance to replace the destroyed lockers with new cabinets with glass displays to be able to show what was inside. While it didn't do much in terms of utility, the aesthetic gave the infirmary a more classic look. [break] [break] It was in the late afternoon that Doctor Haragitanai stepped out briefly to consult with Professor Shadecloak about some information. It was common knowledge for students looking to admit themselves to the infirmary to make themselves comfortable while they were there, so if someone needed her, they'd just have to wait until she returned or sent her a message on the Scroll for emergencies. In this case, she got a notification from Colton Deraine about a student being admitted for an ankle injury. Fair enough. Once she was finished, the Doctor headed back to see what was going on. [break] [break] -- [break] [break] Rin Hellebore. Doctor Haragitanai wondered if there was any connection to her and the other student, Erythia Hellebore, though the Scroll tablet that she was using to go through the patient profile didn't really specify anything other than the information that was transferred over during her enrollment. She wasn't very familiar with prestigious names, though that name she did recognize in passing. Doctor Haragitanai was more interested in reading medical journals than learning about the affairs of the aristocratic circles anyways, and she treated everyone as a patient at the end of the day. Broken ankles were no joke, and ankle bone fractures could lead to long-term problems as well as impaired performance. In an environment where students are expected to fight at a moments notice, not being in top condition would prove dangerous. Doctor Haragitanai scurried down the hallway, her white coat fluttering behind her and the clicking of her heels echoed down the floor before she slid the infirmary door open. [break] [break] There was only one person currently in the infirmary and it was noted as she noticed the red haired individual laying in the bed with her foot propped up with a pillow and what seems to be a hastily wrapped bandage. Speaking of bandages, the amount wrapped around her wrists were done by an amateur at best and the girl had dark bags under her eyes. Signs of fatigue and injury wasn't a good combination, and the Doctor was convinced there was more than meets the eye besides a fractured ankle. Not to mention, the burns looked relatively fresh as well. Perhaps she was also involved in a recent event? There was mention of a couple students who got burned during the Attack on Haven, though Doctor Haragitanai wasn't able to keep count of every patient that was relocated to the Haven General Hospital. [break] [break] "Good afternoon, Miss Hellebore. My name is Doctor Haragitanai, or you can call me Doctor Yuki if that is easier for you. How are you doing? I heard that you were injured and brought to the infirmary, so if you don't mind, I'll assess how you're feeling and see what I can do, okay?" As soon as she got her affirmative response, Doctor Haragitanai walked over towards the table with the water heater and began preparing a cup of tea. "If you don't mind, could you tell me what happened up until now, and the circumstances preceding that? It'll help me with how to proceed with the best method of treating you." Unlike her other regular students, Doctor Haragitanai didn't know a lot about Rin, so the best she could do was to remain friendly and build rapport.
