TRP is a post-Great War AU RWBY RP set in Mistral City and Haven Academy with no canons, no rank claims, no maidens, and no god interference. We offer a progression system and site-wide events that change the setting based on player actions.
I come back to see this thread and find that there are even more trolls gathered here. I suppose I should be angry... but that is hardly productive.
To say it plainly this pursuit of mine may have been a fruitless endeavour. I find no voices of support for my position in this discussion and have been the sole defender of my beliefs. It is discouraging to say the least, that people would condemn me so readily.
Perhaps it is a sign that the public at large is not ready for a violent revolution or at least, not comfortable with the idea of change just yet.
This is a notion that I must accept with grace. After all this mission of mine will not be accomplished without widespread support of the people. I am not so deluded to think a sole woman could take over the government with a handful of ammunition and misguided determination.
But I will not accept defeat just yet. If I were to abandon my convictions so easily it would be a disgrace to my mission to help Mistral reach it's potential. While this may be only be a comfort that I tell myself to sleep better at night, perhaps it is too early for anyone to make conclusions. While there is little promise as of now I have yet determine whether these ideas of mine are received well in a few months from now.
A parting remark, for real this time, to user A.Naples5AV:
I suppose I should not be expecting much if you hardly prepared for a prolonged debate. You can make all the quips you want about how it wasn't worth your time to meet me as an equal but it is all apparent to me. You have hardly any concern for the well-being of those outside your caste and those like you cannot be convinced to emphasise with the poor of Mistral.
It was never my intention to convert you to my side. It would have been a wasted effort to spend arguing with a devout monarchist. We could never see eye to eye if our perspectives in society are so different. Instead I wished to give a demonstration to any readers that do read this and make a genuine attempt to learn from it.
To those that are still paying attention:
This is the attitude of the young, impressionable Monarchist followers that so rabidly attack any opinion that differs. They will denounce, inflame, and insult those that stand against the Monarchists. They will respond to our cries for aid and our demands for security with jokes, memes, and ridicule. They will never treat us like equals so be prepared to accept that. We do not fight for their humble recognition. We fight for progress, for change.
There are audiences that will find these ideas more agreeable. The disenfranchised that will recognise the situation I have reported to be obvious fact. These are the people that we need to convince. When we do we must build their confidence and help them to believe that the change we desire is possible
I suppose I should be more disappointed in this but this has served as a very interesting experience. If this went differently I would ask you hold this experience in your memory as a civil discussion where we proposed our genuine beliefs of what a progressive Mistral should look like. Except for the fact where that did not occur because of your actions.
To those that care, the situation is still as dire as ever. The safety and security of the common Mistrallian is still endangered unless action is taken.
