[attr="class","RDcontainer"] [attr="class","RDcontent"] It was slowly but surely getting spring. [break] [break] And Holly felt that she would love spring. [break] [break] Coming from a tropical marine climate, seasons were divided in dry and wet, more so than in a hot and cold. You had more rain, and less rain. There was some change in temperature, but it wasn’t anything major. The first winter she had to face in Mistral was quite terrible. It was frigid, there was this thing called snow that made your feet both frigid and wet! You had to wear an abundance of clothing just be comfortable outside. With the heavy amount of snowfall, there were reports of people getting snowed in and even worse! Winter was terrible and Holly wanted nothing to do with it. [break] [break] But spring sounded lovely. [break] [break] It was slowly getting warmer again, and soon there would be a new burst of life as everything hopefully began to grow again. [break] [break] Well, everything outside of the Gardenin Club. [break] [break] Haven’s academy had a club dedicated to growing food that was so efficient that it could provide a lot of the fruit and vegetables consumed in the school on a daily basis, and even some more on the side. All of that wasn’t the result of a dedicated small army that plotted a lot of land for their own use. Almost everything was grown within a large clubroom with the help of a girl that had won the cosmic lottery when semblances were distributed, and her dedicated group of helpers who took care of the plants she grew. [break] [break] Holly Hock’s semblance allowed her to manipulate and grow plants in a variety of way. While she could harden them and give them a purpose in combat, the girl had mostly used all her efforts to produce food for people. With the heavy winter and troublesome bandits around the city, it was a very reliable way to get everything from a tasty potato to a juicy watermelon. The clubroom that proudly bore the name ‘Gardenin Club’ housed as great a variety of flowers, fruits, and vegetables Holly Hock had been able to collect. With grapes still being the obvious fruit that Holly still missed. Colton, the former leader of Green class, had wanted grapes, but even Holly was unable to find them in the heart of winter. [break] [break] And, what was this botanical genius doing with her immense gift at this moment? [break] [break] Throwing tomatoes at a wall. [break] [break] The wall was quite coloured quite red at the moment. [break] [break] At least she placed a blanket underneath. [break] [break] It had a good reason. [break] [break] Holly’s semblance allowed her to harden plants, but without actively pumping her aura into the plants, this effect waned quickly enough. Well, as good as instantly at one point. Holly wanted to see if she could train herself to keep plants hardened for a longer amount of time after she lost contact with them. With the Vytal festival coming up, she wanted to see if she could come up with creative combat applications of her semblance. Having a ranged ability to deal damage to things up in the air would be great. So, Holly trained herself to throw things and still making sure that they were protected by her aura afterwards. [break] [break] So, she was throwing tomatoes at a wall. [break] [break] For all to see if they entered the building. Holly’s white dress had some small splatters of tomato on it, and the girl looked a bit dishevelled from the prolonged session of throwing skill. She made sounds every time she threw one of the tomatoes too, a pile of them standing near her in a basket. She stood about a few meters away from the tomato wall, about the middle of the very cluttered Gardenin Club. [break] [break] Just, chucking tomatoes. [break] [break] |
