KISHKA BURZANOVA
Kishka had no idea who this Rin bitch was, but she was definitely going to pay.
She'd heard the rumors flying around that this girl had some kind of a beef with Holly, and that was unacceptable in Kishka's book. Holly was her friend, and her teammate, which meant that- once again- she was going to have to break some heads in her defense.
It wasn't Holly's fault. Poor thing just wasn't used to defending herself. She was a lot like Argent, when Kishka had first met him, really- weak, downtrodden, and just trying to get by. First Nasrin beat up on her, then Heidi was going to beat her up (Kishka assumed), and now this Rin chick had everyone talking mad shit about Holly?
No way was that gonna fly.
Talking some bullshit about Holly assaulting her in a bathroom, making her give her a massage, and then berating her? That was fake news as fuck, Holly would never, and very likely could never do some shit like that. It was laughable, except that it wasn't a laughing matter. Her teammate's reputation was being smeared, and it wasn't even a good story. Sounded like some fantasy fulfillment bullshit, honestly- this girl probably just had a weird thing for Holly, and wanted to give her weird kinky massages or something. Kinda gross, and totally unprofessional and uncalled for. She was just another example of a student who didn't belong at Haven.
Hell, that story probably wouldn't have even gotten as far as it had, had Nasrin not gone around spreading her own lies about Holly.
Which just gave Kishka even more of an incentive to beat that little pinkette's ass, next time she saw her. Sure, they'd cooperated in Rochdale as well as any rivals could, but as soon as they were back off the airship, Kishka was ready to punch the smug, shitty, groundrat's face in. She couldn't help it; that punk's face was made to be punched.
As was Rin's. She managed to get her room number after some asking around, and she was headed there, right then, to go show this bitch what was up. Her umbrella, unfortunately, was left in her room- if things got ugly, she wasn't about to be the next Carmim Clover, and get her weapon grounded. She didn't need it, either- she could kick this girl's ass unarmed, no problem. All she was was a trouble-making hoodlum trying to start shit to make a name for herself because she was new in town. Kishka's seen it dozens of times before.
With her best not-angry face on, Kishka looked almost civil as she approached the shitty liar's room. Three sharp raps on the door announced her presence, and she waited for the girl inside to open the door. Once she did, her plan was to subtly slide her foot into the doorframe, just enough so that if the girl slammed the door on her, she would be able to catch it with her foot, and muscle her way in.
Like hell she was about to let Rin get away with talking so much shit, and then just cower and hide like a little chickenshit baby. No, she was going to teach her a lesson. A memorable lesson.
One that she wasn't going to forget...

Things had finally started to calm down ever so slightly again, after the first weeks of school at Haven had been quite the troublesome affair. The fallout with Holly, despite the pinkette being on her knees furious, throwing out insults and in general seeming completely unstable, had mostly died down within itself. Addressing Colton and getting things sorted with the school nurse also meant that Rin was fairly healthy again. The broken ankle had been repaired, a lot of the stress on her body alleviated, the horrible nightmares of watching Van Sange's sizzling corpse slowly subsiding and allowing Rin more than an hour of sleep every night. It seemed, finally, like the redheaded female would have a chance at settling down, earning a place to stay, earning some room to relax and grow. Perhaps there was even a chance to earn some allies and friendships in the near future. For now, however, Rin had decided to keep a low profile. So, when the girl was not training & working out in the facilities, or at classes, she could be found in her room. Currently, the girl was lying on her back on her bed, a book stretched out in her arms. The whole debate class with Carmim, Colton and that pompous peacock hadn't gone as well as Rin would have liked. Most of the girls arguments were without teeth, if she were to say so herself. Thus, reading up on the history and getting more familiar with the arguments and tones used could be beneficial for her grades moving forwards.
...Three raps on the door in rapid succession, rather heavy handed, or at least so it felt. Startled by this sudden burst of sound and tension, Rin dropped the book, which smacked her straight in the face. Rolling over sideways, she ended up on her knees on the floor, scurrying awkwardly in an attempt to get to the door fast, assuming that it was probably a teacher that wanted something. Perhaps another incident at the school similiar to the incident earlier. Now wouldn't that be a shocker.
Opening the door, there was a visible red mark on Rin's forehead from the book thud. There was a visible panting and alarmed expression on her face. The purple eyes looked at Kishka with a clear indication that Rin believed there was something that she needed to do. Like someone had a need of her attention and awareness immediately. Rin slowly tilted her head back to look upwards, purple eyes meeting purple. There was another female, significantly taller than Rin. Significantly heavier too, if she was to guess. Looking almost civil, which was enough to send several waves of goosebumps and alarms through her body. Though, what really alarmed her, was the sound of a foot stepping onto the floor insistently. Barring Rin from closing it. Everything in Rin's body screamed get out of there, now! The purple eyes widened, as Rin turned on a dime, rushing immediately for the window. Grabbing the handle, pulling it to the side, intent on pushing it open and escaping outside.
Rin was not certain why, but, everything screamed hostility at her... and from her past experiences, with Rose & Holly, she had learned that flight would probably get her much further than fight.

KISHKA BURZANOVA
This was the girl that was spreading lies about Holly?
Kishka had expected something... Different. Like, someone who looked more like herself, frankly; taller than average, with a resting bitch face that could slice through a cantaloupe, and a cool, composed, demeanor. Snarky, even, when the situation called for it.
Not pasty Carmim.
That was what she was looking at! She looked just like Clover, except she was pasty white like Nik, with all the musculature of an especially scrawny schoolgirl, and a face like a rabbit stepping into a snare. At least, for all the muscle she lacked, she still managed to have some curves to her. Not as shapely as Kishka's, but she wasn't a washboard, at least. And something about her violet eyes, the same hue as her own, bugged the lavender-haired girl a little bit too much.
She had also expected a confrontation. At least a shouting match or something. She was prepared for that.
But instead, all she got was sheer fucking terror.
Don't get it twisted; Kishka loved that shit. She took a special pride in being the baddest bitch around, and striking fear in the hearts of those who ought to know not to mess with her and her friends. But this? This was excessive.
The poor thing darted back into the room so damn fast, it was a miracle she didn't fly out the window.
Instincts screamed at her to give chase, and she knew that she could, easily. She was damn fast- inarguably the fastest student at Haven, excluding speed semblance users. Catching Rin would be child's play. But she used her brain, not her feet, as she glanced over at the window. It was locked. She took her time, stepping into the room, closing the door, and striding confidently over to the redhead, placing a firm, but not harsh, hand on her arm. "Whoa, easy. I'm just here to talk. For fuck's sake, are you actually a Huntress-in-Training? You've never even met me, and you sprint away the second you see me? Wow."
She would wait until Rin at least gave up on trying to escape. It was futile, frankly, and Kishka was fully prepared to keep pace with her if she had to. At first, she dropped by to beat some sense into the girl, but now she mostly just wanted to ask a few questions- no doubt, she'd already scared her straight as a goddamn arrow.
She'd also planned this pretty well- it was a time when neither she nor Rin had any scheduled classes, but most of the other girls on this hall did, at least as far as the class schedules showed. She'd made sure of that, mostly in case a fight broke out, but it was also convenient for if Rin decided to start screaming. There weren't too many people around to listen, and the ones who would be, were just as likely off hanging out with friends, training, or grabbing a meal somewhere. No escape, no refuge, and no cavalry to rush in and save her. Trapped like a little lying rat.
Once Rin finally accepted her plight, or a few minutes into waiting, if she didn't accept it, Kishka would look her straight in the face, a scrutinizing expression showing as she examined the slanderer. "So. You're Rin, yeah? I have it on good authority that you've been causing quite a bit of trouble for a friend of mine. Is this true? And don't even think about lying to me. I'm not so easily deceived as Colton and the others."
She figured she'd give the girl a chance to come clean first, before she took things any further. She seemed damn near ready to piss herself, so whatever intimidation Kishka inflicted on her was bound to be devastating. She just had to wait and let the girl talk herself right into a confession...

The way of movement that very quickly had Rin cornered against the windowsill. That way of talking that clearly spoke of disappointment, surprise and a malicious intent. These words, this aggressive movement, this way of presenting oneself. If Rin had been given a description of Rose's behavior, the petite redhead could have easily mistaken Kishka for Rose. Naturally, knowing some physical descriptions as well, the difference was striking, though in demeanor the two of them were almost interchangible. So, once cornered, Rin simply slipped down along the wall, sitting on the floor underneath the window, with her knees tugged up towards her chest in a very defensive manner. Head lowered, she wasn't looking at Kishka, not even for a moment. They both knew with the way that Kishka had approached this situation that she hadn't come there to just talk for fuck sake. Rin's breathing was rapidly calming down. The light in her eyes having disappeared, as she seemed to completely surrender to the situation. Whether it was because she was spineless, or because the petite redhead knew that fighting would be senseless, or even better, because Rin knew that making more enemies around Haven would only make her situation worse, would be difficult for Kishka to tell. Heck, it's even possible Rin just didn't want the things inside the house to get destroyed. If Kishka even kept those options in mind, rather than judging the redhead based on her first impression.
Without looking at Kishka still, the girl's aura shimmered softly, as Rin intentionally lowered it. "...If you're going to hurt me, get it out of the way, just, please, don't destroy or ruin any of my cousins things. I care more for those than any damage you could inflict me." The way in which Rin spoke was so cold. Cold, detached, uncaring, as if her heart had frozen to solid ice. It was like the question from Kishka hadn't really registered at first. Or perhaps it didn't really matter to Rin. At least a short few moments passed in silence, before Rin, still looking into the floor, shrugged and attempted to reply. Still defeated, tired, exhausted of all this crap, there was not even a remote hint that she could be lying at this point. It all felt so frustrated and genuine, as she was on the verge of laughing from how pathetic she was... "...Sorry, I don't know which of your friends you might be talking about..? Are you here because Rose got in trouble with Colton for deliberately breaking my ankle during training?... I told him not to cause trouble, with either Rose nor Holly..." A slight moment passed, as Rin seemed to be piecing other possibilities together. Afterall, Kishka merely acted like Rose. Didn't necessarily have to be why she was there, though. "Oh? Are you here because Holly got in trouble, for wishing my whole school time turns out as nothing but misery, threathening me? One of her friends that she promised could beat me up and make me part of the floor?... Or perhaps you're here on rumors that I did crap to Van Sange that night of the fire?... Frankly I don't care. Just get whatever you plan to do over with, take your revenge. I know where the infirmary is by now."
Rin remained seated along the wall, her arms slowly falling to her sides, opening her up if Kishka truly did wish to break something. It was clear that she was fed up with all the crap that had happened here and just wanted to be left alone. Just wanted all of this to go away and disappear. The petite little redhead seemed broken inside. Like the lights wouldn't come on...

KISHKA BURZANOVA
This was...
Really sad. Very, very, sad. It stopped feeling good a while back, and Kishka's confused and slightly disappointed facial expression did nothing but express that feeling.
Rin just... Slumped against the wall. And assumed the fetal position. Just, without the slightest real provocation.
This was her room! She should be standing up for herself! What the fuck was this pitiful bullshit!?
It left a bad taste in Kishka's mouth. One that reminded her strongly of a certain girl with a heart condition. Avoiding eye contact? Cowering? And she was at a Huntsman Academy of all places? Why...?
Why did so many people subject themselves to something clearly beyond their abilities and dispositions? Huntsmen are made, yes, but Huntsman trainees are born. And not even in the normal, "genetic predisposition towards a powerful semblance" interpretation either- she herself disproved that logic. Her semblance was second rate at best, while she was a prime example of a first rate fighter.
Based solely on appearances, she imagined for Rin to have even gotten in the door, her semblance was something like Colton's or Cressida's. At the very least, a solidly first rate semblance, to counter her complete third rate disposition.
She had half a mind to bitch slap the cowardice out of the girl, but something in her appearance made her hesitate. And then she began to speak, which was somehow even worse.
This was the girl talking mad shit about Holly?
Her?
This was that Rin?
Her cousin's things? Rose? Colt? Van Sange? Kishka had no idea who the fuck her cousin was, but she had a feeling she'd need to have a talk with her too at some point, about why the fuck Rin was at Haven in the first place. And she knew nothing about Rose and Magneto being involved, and only vaguely realized that she was probably the one who'd found Van Sange's corpse. But the mention of Holly's name confirmed it for her. This was, in fact, the very same shit-talker she was looking for.
She sighed, long and exasperated, and moved, as non-aggressively as possible, to sit in front of Rin, on the floor. She still had no intentions of letting the girl run away, so if she tried, she would grab her arm or leg and pull her back to a seated position, but honestly, she doubted the little worm of a person had the will to run. Seemed like she'd already resigned herself to the fact that Kishka was going to break her arms or something.
Good fucking gods.
She shook her head, unsure of how to proceed.
She reached out and snapped her fingers in front of Rin's face, but not too close. And firmly, but without malice, commanded her attention. "Hey. Look at me." She'd wait for Rin's eyes to move from the ground, before continuing.
"I'm not going to hurt you, for fuck's sake. Fucking hell, are you that terrified of me? If I wanted to hurt you, I would have, and easily could have- especially with you lying down to take it. What the fuck is that about? You're training to be a Huntress, fucking act like it." Another exasperated sigh, as she closed her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose, trying not to be angry.
After a second or two, she opened her eyes again, and set her most neutral glare on Rin. "Yeah. I did come here because of Holly, but she didn't send me after you like some kind of fucking hitman. I came because I heard you were spreading nasty rumors about my teammate. I don't like that shit, and I was going to insist that you kindly cut that shit out, but from what you just said, I'm not even sure if we're talking about the same person. Because the Holly I know wouldn't wish misery on someone else for no reason, nor would she threaten to have her friends beat someone up. Holly's a fucking hero, she saved dozens of lives in Rochdale. Would have been hundreds, if shit hadn't gone sideways on us. She's not some bully."
Probably unbeknownst to Rin, that final statement was a damn conclusive one, coming from Kishka's lips- she was a bully. She could admit that freely. She was a bully, an asshole, and a frankly unpleasant person, to most people. Which was why she knew damn well Rin couldn't be talking about her Holly.
Poison Ivy wouldn't do shit like that. She wasn't Kishka, for fuck's sake.
"Start from the beginning. What the hell did 'Holly' do to you? And why?"
She planned on getting right to the fucking bottom of this shit, as soon as possible. It didn't seem like Rin was lying, so clearly she mistook Holly for some other student. Maybe some Blue Class asshole or something, someone she wouldn't have recognized. Either way, she knew damn well it wasn't Holly, and if it was, she had a damn good reason for it.

A small part of Rin was furious. Steaming with wrath, anger, hatred, all pointing in the direction of Kishka Burzanova. The other female had invaded Rin's final sanctuary. The one place that the redhead could go to feel even remotely safe. The one place she could go where others wouldn't grab hold of her and drag her through filth and mud. That fire was visible in Rin's eyes and expression, but latched onto it was an enormous sea of desperation, defeats and attacks to her self confidence. No matter how much Rin felt cornered, attacking and lashing out simply wasn't an option. It was not coded into her body to protect herself, and thus, she couldn't. When the enemy pointed their spears at her, all Rin could do was wait to be pierced. Like auntie's good little child soldier. The way it was always meant to be. The words from Kishka hardly registered. It was all filed in under the same little dossier in the back of Rin's mind. Fortunately, it was a rather simple message, so it wasn't hard to categorize. #1: You are a disappointment as a Huntress. #2: You have no dignity. #3 Holly is so much better than you, why are you talking trash about my friend?
The other girl then demanded an explanation from the beginning. Once again, the flickering flame within Rin flared. Wanting to tell Kishka to mind her own damn business. Wanting to shout and scream at the fact that the other girl came into her room, decideed to flex her muscles, then acting like she deserved answers to her questions. The word rang through Rin's mind like an echo, continuing back and forth with more and more force. Bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch. That tiny, insignificant part of Rin, was shoved so far back down that the flame extinguished. Having looked up at Kishka for only a brief moment, the redhead lowered her head again, staring into the floor. Staring into the floor with an unbridled conviction as the spears came ever closer.
"...I was working out in the gym, feeling someone watching.. So I scurried off to the baths to get showered and changed." Rin started, speaking in a robotic tone. Hardly seeming human, more so relegating everything to simple objective truth. There was no hints of lying in her explanation. Not even the slightest slipup or unevenness. "In the baths I was approached by a pinkette, almost as small as I am. Holly Hock. Told me she had been watching me for a bit, and that if I did right by her, she would do right by me. Except, I was forced to do right by her to avoid having her friends beat me up, and doing right by me was essentially not having me beat up.... Forced me to give her a massage."
Rin continued to stare into the floor, not giving off much emotion. Like a statue that was capable of speaking experiences and observations to her surroundings. The tale wasn't a very convoluted one, nor one with twiswts and turns. It was fairly straight forwards. "Then Holly suddenly changed tune. Spoke as if inflicting enough sadness and misery on me would make me quit. That treating me like she had done was for my own good. To teach me a valuable lesson... When I said that her actions were cruel and evil, she began freaking out. Crumbling apart.
So I left as quick as I could."
That was everything, as far as Rin was concerned. Except for a few minor details, perhaps. "Colton demanded to know what had happened, so I told him. Then things escalated in chats, and everyone is pointing the finger at me. Like I did something horrible to Holly. Like I'm a liar, that I am the one to blame, when I was the one being made to do things against my desires.".. So if you believe Holly is too innocent, then go ahead. Leave me alone, I am already accepting the blame, you stupid bitch. Holly is a bully, and you are one too. Rin thought to herself, quietly, sitting very shielded in her little corner. Refusing to otherwise interact.

KISHKA BURZANOVA
"Hey, look at me, not the floor! Come on, damn." She snapped at Rin, with a shred of annoyance in her tone, though honestly, it was a halfhearted command, at best- she didn't give a shit whether Rin looked up at her or not, as long as she started talking, and stopped lying through her teeth.
Which she finally did.
Started talking that is; jury's still out on the lying. Kishka, of course, being the jury. And judge, and executioner.
And it seemed pretty clear that what she was saying was the truth- either she was an incredibly good liar, or she was being honest. Or at least, wording her thoughts carefully, in omission of any self-incriminating details. Whatever the case, it was very likely that everything she was saying was true, even if it may not be the full picture just yet. She listened attentively, her glare loosening just a hair as she continued staring Rin down, despite sitting directly in front of her, on the floor.
Pinkette, Rin's size. Sounded like Holly.
Making aggressive threats and demanding... massages? "What the fuck?" That didn't sound like Holly. That sounded like some weird, freaky, creep loser. Holly wasn't a weird, freaky, creep loser.
Or well...
Okay, she wasn't a freaky creep loser.
Even Kishka could admit that she was plenty weird.
The next part was even more baffling, and further proved that it couldn't be Holly. Right? Holly wasn't that fucked up in the head, unless... Well, it seemed unlikely. Extremely unlikely. But maybe the stress from Rochdale had really gotten to her, and she just didn't say anything? She had been awfully distant and quiet lately. But the last thing she expected from Poison Ivy was her pulling a goddamn Qui'li Junior! Damn! It just wasn't realistic. Not the Holly that she knew, definitely not.
She sighed, long and deep, with pinched fingers to the bridge of her nose. She spoke slowly, and as calmly as she could.
"Look, ki- Rin. I'm not trying to blame you for what happened to you. That would be pretty fucked up, even for me. Admittedly, I may have come after you a little half-cocked. But in my defense, all I heard were rumors from other people that you were spreading nasty lies about my friend, and teammate. Things that, even after your explanation, which, I'll give you this, sounds pretty truthful to me, I just can't see her doing. I know Holly. Better than most. And there has to be some other explanation. I'll go talk to her, see if I can figure out just what the hell is going on." She stood up, offering Rin a hand to pull the redhead back to her feet as well- though she'd pull it away after a few seconds, if it seemed like she wasn't going to take it.
Not her job to deal with delicate little snowflake children who somehow think they're able to fight Grimm- that's what Lynn's for.
"And sorry about busting into your room like that. Temper gets a little out of control sometimes, and I won't lie, it's been a stressful few weeks. For all of us. I'll make it up to you sometime, maybe. Sounds like you got a pretty shit welcome wagon to Haven, y'know?"
She turned to leave, deciding it's probably best to just go before she could make things any worse for the new kid. A quick and lazy wave, with the same resting bitch face she usually wore was all she gave as she headed towards the door, only turning around if Rin spoke up again. And then she was gone- better, more important things to do than waste more time giving pep talks to actual children.
