we are the lost and the silent tags: Erytheia Hellebore WHERE THE SKIES END -- STARSET outfit: As described words: 1152/1152 It had been a long time since she committed burglary, without counting the bike theft with Russet. A backup had to be kept up and that was a criminal life. No different to before but this time she'd actually have a place to live... hopefully. Last time she was homeless and had nothing else to achieve. After all, can't let her hard earned skills go to waste. So she took to the streets of Cloud, looking around for some interesting looking homes and establishments around. They were mostly... boring looking, so she took several hours of mindless wandering. Dressed in her wool turtleneck vest top, black jeans and rags wrapped around her arms, combined with her black sneakers, she kept away from others she walked past for those hours until she found the perfect place. It was a giant estate, a few buildings in a walled off compound with a high level of security. A challenge for sure, and it would definitely prove if she's still up-to-snuff for the job. If there was money, she'd aim for that but if not, valuables that could be sold off. She knew a family in the Ground District that depended on her occasional crimes to back it through the month. Three kids, 8, 12 and 14. Father died in the Faunus war towards the end. Mother struggles to make ends meet. She had alot of empathy and sympathy for the family and always tried her best. First call of action, stake out the perimeter. As she casually strolled around the walls, she took mental notes of the potential entranceways and the levels of guards. Hell, there was a metric fuck tonne of guard presence. Just how rich were these paranoid individuals. Once she targeted her entrance point, she checked her pockets. Two kunai's, not ideal but it'll do for protection. She knew a bit of martial arts to get out of situations and she was quite slippery anyway. Plan was made, it was action time. Letting her trait take over, she near-vanished from site and most certainly disappeared from any sort of CCTV footage and scaled the wall where it was slightly damaged, so it had some better foo and hand holds. Once to the top, she kept low and scanned the compound. Three buildings with a large central one. Hit the middle first. This was gunna be a piece of piss. Hopping down, she snuck past any patrolling guards along the way as she maneuvered around to the central building and scaled it up to one of the windows. Peaking in, there was no guard presence and it was slightly ajar. Pulling it open a bit more, she climbed in and closed the window just in time for a guard to appear at the end of the corridor and enter a room. This was going off without a hitch! So easy. As she crept the hallways slowly, she would come to a door with a strange device on the side. Not thinking much about it, she placed her hand on the door and activated her semblance, unlocking the door as she opened it swiftly and shut it again... as a silent alarm tripped, alerting the control room about the unwanted presence. Inside the room, was a bedroom. As she looked about, there was a fair few valuables but she would go through all the drawers till she found a small ring. Definitely expensive looking, so a quick pocket of that as well as a pair of earrings that matched it. This was a good score for certain. Now, to leave. As she approached the door and used her semblance, she then tried the handle. A puzzled look came across her face as she tried again, and the door remained locked. Then, the shutters on the window slammed down and she heard footsteps coming from the door... no wait. There was MULTIPLE footsteps coming in her direction. So that strange device by the door was some security measure. That is absolutely NOT GOOD. She should've realised too, but now it was too late. She remained calm and poised, holding herself near the door and "invisible". The door would ding open as someone unlocked it from the otherside and two guards came in, and a third remained at the door. "Come on out then burglar, hand yourself in and it won't get ugly!" One remarked, causing Chloro to eyeroll as they came past her into the room. She took her time to slowly slip out and when she was almost in the clear, almost staring down the last guard that didn't go in, she slammed the door shut, hoping it would lock them in. A startled gasp came from the guard that was remaining as she then became visible and lunged at him, knocking his weapon aside and putting him onto the floor, and delivering a quick punch to his temple to stun him as she jumped off and sprinted down the hall. A guard appeared from the junction infront, so she bolted left and found the stairs. As she was running down the steps to the main foyer, more turned up from the front door and the others came from behind the stairs. Trapped, she looked to the top as one began coming down the stairs and to the bottom as one was coming up. Determined to not get jammed her, she leapt the railing and rolled as she hit the floor, not realising she essentially rolled into another guard. As she was coming up, a kick was presented to her own head, which sent her sprawlling into the floor, dazed. Before another kick and a swing of the baton which she couldn't see coming, rendering her a bit useless now she was dazed and pinned to the floor. "Call it in! We got her!" The man barked to one of the others as she was hoisted to her feet and dragged out of the building, and into another. She couldn't remember much of the building she was dragged through, but her daggers and the stolen possessions were taken off of her as she was thrown into a cell and locked in. Well fuck. She thought to herself. She was caught, and no doubt the police were on their way. This went from bad to down right fucking awful. Just how much security did one place need?! This was absurd! Realising her predicament, she tried her semblance on the door just to see if it work would but alas, the mechanisms were too complicated and thus, it didn't work. Punching the door in frustration, she paced her cell before resorting to grumbling to herself silently on the bed that was "provided". It was just a shitty metal frame and a mattress. Folding her arms, she awaited whoever would make themselves known to her, scowling at the door as she would periodically vanish and reappear again. |
