Niraya Platinum When snow falls, Nature listens.
[attr="class","rainbow"]
Niraya was stressing out it was the final day and she only a few hours left to get people's information. she messed up and didn't get all the information from Holly, and Prince didn't help all that much. Niraya was stressing out she didn't have much time left and she didn't want to fail the class. as she wonders around she starts to hear someone nearby and approaches them carefully as to not get her head chopped off. it was bad enough she looked like she was run over by a truck becoming headless would not be very good.
As Niraya approached she could see Carmim climbing a tree then falling as she misjudged the branch she grabbed. Niraya walks over to her and picks her up off of the grounds. "Carmim you ok? what exactly were you trying to do?" Niraya looks up the tree wondering if she lost something up there or it was just her way to passing time. Niraya remembers what she was needing to do and gives Carmim a sad look. "Carmim I'm going to fail this class unless you can help me."

HAVE YOU SEEN HER? HAVE YOU HEARD? THE WAY SHE MOVES, THERE ARE NO WORDS
She hadn't honestly noticed when exactly it had happened, but at some point, she had fallen out of the tree, where she had formerly been sitting with Ryan. She had let out a little scream as she fell, for frankly very reasonable reasons- they had been fairly high up, and falling had definitely been something she had wanted to avoid. Dying was, after all, not one of her midterm objectives. Suffice it to say, she was spooked by the harsh yank of gravity.
She closed her eyes, and tossed her drum upwards as her Aura braced for the impact with the ground- like hell she was letting that break!
Fortunately, she crashed into a pretty thick bush, breaking her fall.
Unfortunately, she had still fallen from a pretty significant height, and bushes aren't exactly the best at breaking falls. so when she hit the ground, it definitely hurt quite a bit. She gave a loud yelp as she hit the ground with a thud.
Fortunately, again, though, her Aura did its heavy lifting, and she was, in fact not dead. In fact, she was a little less than dead! Her Aura took about 10% damage, though it didn't stop her from feeling like she'd just fallen three stories to the ground. Which she had. Luckily for her, she managed to avoid snapping her delicate little spine and dying, but unluckily, as soon as she hit the ground, she definitely felt the rain starting up. Which did a quick job of moistening up the tree she'd just been dropped from.
Oh no, what if Ryan was about to fall from the tree! She had to get back up there and check on him.
Launching herself back at the tree after a moment or two of recovery, she managed to scramble back up, maybe a third of the way off the ground, before she slipped, and fell with another little shriek, knocking another little hunk of Aura off of her, and causing her much frustration. Again, she tried to get back up the tree, but to no avail. She fell a few more times, and the last time, she decided to give up.
About that time, though, a familiar voice spoke up, catching her attention. And a familiar hand reached out to pull the small girl back to her feet. "Niraya! Hello my friend! I t'ink I must have messed up my ropes... I fell out of t'is tree, and now I can't get back up!" She rubbed at her sore head- bumping it on the ground so many times was not necessarily the most pleasant experience.
She stared wistfully up at the top of the tree, where Ryan was no doubt waiting for her to climb back up, and worrying so much about her fall. She had to let him know she was okay, but if she couldn't climb the tree... Well, what then!? Sighing, she glanced back to Niraya, noting the sad look on the fox girl's face. "What is wrong, Niraya?" She listened as her friend explained her situation, though she was also very distracted, once again, by her very expressive, very soft-looking, fluffy ears. Damn. She really wanted to pet them. Mostly because she couldn't remember if she had successfully pet them at the slumber party- she didn't remember much about the end of that night, actually.
She glanced at Niraya's pink ribbon, realizing that her friend was an Orchid. That made this easier! She was just like Ryan, then! And Jackie, and Nasrin! The little redhead beamed up at Niraya and gave a firm nod. "Of course I can help you! I could never let you fail the midterms. But I t'ink we should first get out of t'e rain..." She glanced around, noticing the droplets speeding up, and falling harder and colder. It was honestly pretty nice- it took her a while to get used to Mistral's rains, given the scarcity of rain in Vacuo. She still wasn't entirely accustomed to how the sky just broke sometimes and dumped tons of water everywhere. Mistral rain was nothing like Vacuo rain- thick, hard, and cold.
And much as she enjoyed it, she recognized that for them to have a good conversation, and more importantly, a good night's sleep, they would need to make camp. She instantly regretted not setting up a spot earlier in the day, like Nasrin had suggested. Of course, that was before she got into all sorts of shenanigans with Nik and Argent and everyone, and all sorts of other wild things that kept on happening. It had been a very crazy and eventful day, honestly. A lot had happened, and she was really getting tired, especially after waking up in the tree.
Or well, out of the tree.
"Do you have a camp set up nearby, where we could talk? Or a tent we could set up here?"

Niraya Platinum When snow falls, Nature listens.
[attr="class","rainbow"]
Niraya looked pretty sad before but once the rain started she looked like a sad wet dog who's owner abandoned them. Niraya sighs and looks around. She spots a spot just under the tree Carmim was trying to climb. "I can set up a little something there." Niraya walks over to the spot and carefully uses her semblance to make a sorta dome out of ice. they could be out of the rain for a little bit. thanks to the cold rain it wasn't going to melt right away. Niraya sits down under the ice dome and waits for Carmim. Once they were in the safety of the dome she would explain her situation.
"I was with Holly for a bit but i didn't all the information i needed. then i spent some time with prince...and she made me bargon for information. now i owe her a favor and i'm still not anywhere close to being able to pass. Please Carmim can you please help me. i need you to tell me 5 secrets you didn't tell anyone else." Niraya was looking at her with the puppydog eyes as she desperatly wanted to pass the class.

HAVE YOU SEEN HER? HAVE YOU HEARD? THE WAY SHE MOVES, THERE ARE NO WORDS
The little redhead nodded enthusiastically, as she followed Niraya to the spot that would soon house their shelter. Of course, she had no idea what to expect from a shelter like this. She had assumed the fox faunus would throw together a little lean-to of some sort, like the one Argent and Elena had set up, or maybe she had a tent packed. A whole dome made out of ice, though...
If the rain was something that made Carmim smile, a shelter made entirely out of ice was magical. Wondrous and exciting. It was something the little desert-dwelling village girl had never dreamed of, and she stood there in shock and awe for a good minute, before blinking away the amazement long enough to step under it, where her and Niraya could talk, dry and a little colder than they were before.
Carmim listened as the other girl explained her situation, setting her drum on its side and sitting on it, to rest her tired feet. Those two names were quite unfamiliar to her, so she didn't react much to them. Though, bargaining for information, and still not giving it? That was a little cruel. Whoever this Prince was, she definitely seemed like a real tricky, shady, type of person. She nodded, smiling at her friend. "Five secrets? Sure! I can tell you t'ose. Hmmm, let's see..." The secret part was maybe going to be the hardest for her to figure out.
It wasn't exactly like she was a closed book- she told everyone pretty much everything about her, so secrets were generally harder to think of. But she sat and thought for a long while, before coming up with a few. "Oooh! I've got one! T'is is an easy one, I've never seen t'is much ice before! Your semblance is very cool, by t'e way! Hmm... Oh, and anot'er! My favorite color is not red, it is actually green! My mot'er has very pretty green eyes, I was always jealous as a little girl. Hmmm, what else... Oh yeah! I messed up my landing earlier t'is morning, and I hit a tree and fell into a bush. Seems like a t'eme for me today. What else..."
Now she was really racking her brain. There were a lot of secrets up there. And by that, I mean, not very many at all- every time she thought of one, she just said something that didn't seem like a secret at all, because she'd already told someone. Then again... Would any of these stay secrets, once she finished telling Niraya?
"Oh! One more. Hmmm... Niraya..." Her face blushed a little red, and she tapped lightly on her drum for a moment as she continued. "I t'ink your ears are very cute and soft-looking and I have always wanted to touch t'em." Whew. What an exciting confession. Not a hard one, though- as she thought about that word, confession, she figured out what her fifth, and final secret was, and blushed an even deeper shade as she thought about how exactly to say it. It was definitely something she hadn't told anybody else, not even Evangeline, but if Niraya needed secrets... Well, this was a really big one!
"Um... Can you keep t'is last secret a secret...? I mean, aside from turning it in to pass midterms, I mean. I have never told anybody t'is one before..."

Niraya Platinum When snow falls, Nature listens.
[attr="class","rainbow"]
Niraya had made herself a small ice seat for her to sit on. she couldn't feel cold and thanks to her semblance she could negate even the hottest of days worth of heat. As she sits there and listens to Carmim she made notes on her scroll. When she mentions Niraya's semblance. "Thanks. it does come in hand for working with hot metal...not so much for mechanical stuff." She sighs remembering frying a few circuit boards trying to cool off the solder. Niraya listens intently to Carmim as she explains her favorite color. when it came to the landing recently Niraya shakes her head. "I nailed a branch spun around it and slamed hard into the ground face first. wasn't the roughest landing I have ever had."
Niraya sighs and waits for Carmim to mention her last secret. surely it was a dark secret and it was difficult for her. when she said it was about Niraya's ears her face just turns red. she was a little shocked a girl would compliment her like that. it was strange but at the same time, she was ok with it. "Well...i...guess you can pet them...but they are kinda soaked at the moment."

HAVE YOU SEEN HER? HAVE YOU HEARD? THE WAY SHE MOVES, THERE ARE NO WORDS
Well it was nice to know that she wasn't the only one who'd had a rough landing. Though she supposed Niraya's landing wasn't also accompanied with a depressing mental breakdown that almost got her and Eva killed... And her and Solomon. And her and Jackie, and Nasrin. Actually, her breakdown had made midterms a hell of a lot harder than it had any right to be.
She got a little lost in her thoughts about the day, earlier towards morning, when she had been at her worst, but Niraya pulled her out as she mentioned her ears. A little smile lit up Carmim's face with excitement, before she remembered that she still owed Niraya one last secret. The fox girl hadn't actually answered her request for this one to be kept especially secret, but she figured she wouldn't tell anyways. Besides, now that she had had the thought to tell her about it, she couldn't just hold it in- it needed to come out, now, or it would stuck in there, trapped in her head, forever, just sitting and worrying her.
In light of everything else she had going on that was doing that for her, she frankly didn't need more things to worry about.
And sharing secrets always did make for a bit of release. Something she needed, so she didn't just pop from holding it in. She stood up and scooted closer to Niraya, staring up at the taller girl's fluffy fox-like ears. The girl seemed a little awkward about her petting them, but she'd said it was okay, and Carmim did like soft things very much. And they looked exquisitely soft.
True to her word, they were a little soaked from the rain. But still very fuzzy and soft, so Carmim gingerly brushed them with her hand, reaching up to pet them. They were every bit as soft as she could have possibly hoped for. This was an excellent end to a day of constant strife and struggles. "I t'ink I'm in love wit' my roommate." Whoops. Her fifth and final secret just kind of fell out, as she was playing with Niraya's ears. It was said extremely casually, but the look on her face immediately after was ten times the shade of red of her previous blush.
Oh wow. Oooohhhhh wow. That had been in there, inside her head, for a long time. Too long. She looked up suddenly to meet Niraya's eyes. "You won't tell anybody t'at, will you...? I don't even t'ink I've told Eva yet. And Aegle..." She nervously bit her lip, thinking about the plucky little Atlesian with her wonky bones and heart. No, she wasn't ready to tell Aegle that yet. She wasn't even sure how true it was- saying she was in love was a big deal! And for all she knew, maybe she wasn't. Maybe she just felt like she was. Or like she should be? Ahhhhh!! Feelings are hard.
She did miss Aegle, though. For some reason- wasn't like she wasn't used to only seeing her once or twice a day, really, if that. But hopefully she'd see her after midterms were done. She hadn't managed to find her in the woods, but they'd have plenty of time to hang out soon...
Maybe she'd tell her then...?

Niraya flinched a little when she first touched her ears. Niraya secretly liked having them petted but was trying to hide that. Carmim was gentle and it reflected in Niraya's face and her wagging tail. when Carmim let out an extra secret Niraya took note of it but looks at her a little surprised. Carmim was so red in the face it was clear that one wasn't meant to see the light of day. Niraya smiles at her. "It's ok I won't tell a soul about your secrets...other than the teacher of course." Niraya gives her a warm smile and lets Carmim pet her head some more as they waited out the rain and the final few hours of the event to pass.

Carmim smiled at the fox faunus, as she continued playing with her ears. The blush slowly faded. It felt good getting that off her chest. Wow. She hadn't realized until that moment that that was what she was feeling all this time. It was a strange feeling, and not one that she was used to. Confiding it in Niraya definitely helped for the moment, like lifting a huge weight off of her chest. But she didn't feel like the secret was totally relieved- no, it was still there, burning her up inside. She doubted that feeling would be gone for long, though- not until she mustered up the nerve, the courage, and the resolve to tell Aegle, herself. And who knew when that might be?!
For now, though, she felt a hint of relief. And she felt better about everything that had happened earlier in the day, too. She wasn't feeling as upset about her rank anymore, nor about her semblance- she had learned, after a whole day of being alone with herself, tossed into hard situations, that she really was stronger than she thought she was. Stronger than she ever thought she could be, and even with her flaws and her weaknesses, she more than made up for them with her true strengths. So now, in the magical little ice dome with Niraya, she would wait out the rain, and the last few hours of Midterms, sleeping on the ground, curled up with her drum.
She'd made it through the hardest storms, and there was nothing left but to wait for morning.
Or... Had she?
