Character Traits
Date of Birth: October 25, 7 AV
Species: Faunus
Hometown: Mantle
Romantic Orientation: N/A
Hair Color/Style: Light blue; cut short with long locks framing her face.
Eye Color: Blue
Aura Color: White
Height: 162cm
Weight: 53kg
Appearance: A short, relatively thin girl whose color palette is reminiscent of winter. Her skin is pale and her hair is decorated with a snowflake ornament and small bells on each long sidelock. Her clothes are generally comprised of loose kimonos with wide sleeves, colored in muted whites, greys and blues. She has thick eyebrows and a pair of fox's ears atop her head in addition with a tail of the same protruding from her lower back. Of note are two things: her pupils are strange in that they have strange coloration in the shape of a light purple plus symbol in the center, and she almost always wears a stylistic fox's mask on her head as well.
Personality: Though her facial expressions and general manner of speech are those of a listless, slumberous person, she is energetic and goal-driven at her core. When she is given a task, she gets it done with no complaints and does so efficiently. She does have a manipulative streak and tends towards trying to get others to do her bidding for her when it comes to her own goals, and to her, those are higher-priority than any possible assignment and indeed her whole reason for enrolling in Haven Academy.
Her past experiences have given her a tough and hardened exterior and she has no qualms with using violence as a means to an end. If it is an efficient way to solve an issue, then it's on the table. Agnes, internally, is filled to the brim with nationalistic pride for the now-defunct nation of Mantle, and her wish to see it restored under her rule, and failing that, someone she has direct control over or at the very least approves of. She ascribes heavily to the idea of an authoritarian monarchist regime, and believes most people too uninformed to determine their own futures. She is filled with venom towards the Kingdom of Atlas and its ruling class specifically. Her interest in politics has brought her to start studying military strategy and history as well, perhaps as perceived necessary knowledge she will need in her future.
In spite of all this, Agnes is often unsure of her own actions and hates being out of the loop. She values family greatly and holds excessive vitriol towards abusive or otherwise neglectful parents, and is willing to help others with those sorts of parents out of their situations. She keeps a small spice garden in her room and enjoys reading young-adult fiction books.

Combat & Inventory
Iaido
Rank of Semblance: E
Semblance Type: Physical Boost
One Sentence Summary of Semblance: Allows Agnes to draw and strike with a sheathed bladed weapon at superhuman speeds.
Description of Semblance: Allows Agnes to draw and strike once with a sheathed bladed weapon incredibly quickly. This works with any purpose-made bladed weapon in a container purposefully built to contain the weapon. It takes her roughly half a second to do so at her current level. Any weapon she attempts this technique with will give off a very faint white glow.
Mechanically, it increases her attack speed and damage with Iai strikes only.
Drawbacks of Semblance: Although fairly straightforward, there are a few rules governing the semblance. First and foremost, the weapon cannot be put back away quickly, readying it for another strike. This must be done at normal speeds. Secondly, the weapon must be used to strike at something if she uses her semblance to draw it quickly; she cannot draw the weapon with her semblance and not strike at something with it, whether that be the unoccupied space in front of her or the object of her aggression. Her aura being turned off or depleted is the only way to circumvent this. Thirdly, in normal combat situations, there is a very obvious tell that she is going to strike with a weapon: she is left-handed, and obviously must grip any weapon she hopes to use Iaido with in her left hand.
Taikanken

Description of Weapons(s): A plain old katana. There is nothing particularly special about it; it is functional and works for its intended purpose.

Biography
History
Born in 7 AV, Agnes' parents brought her into the world in a period of strife. One a faunus and the other a human, her mother used to be a politician of Mantle who truly believed that their king, and by extension she herself, were doing what was right for their people. Her mother's continued defense of Mantle's anti-expression policies and her father's indifference to the prior shaped her belief system as she grew up, and most likely they warped her young mind. Her young life was filled with demonstrations in the streets which eventually turned to riots, food shortages that did not affect her which eventually became days without eating, and eventually an all-out war for her own right to be treated as an equal.
Her mother died in the street fighting in 19 AV. A pipe bomb thrown by the Faunus rebels killed them both; her mother was targeted as a politician of the old oppressive system while out shopping for food. While her father was injured in the attack, his wounds did not kill him but "only" dropped him into a coma. Left alone in the world and with no support net, Agnes eventually started looking for a way to feed herself. She found it in the Faunus revolutionaries. They promised to feed her if she would fight for them. Between the choices of either starving to death or fighting for a cause she barely understood but felt strongly about, there was no contest.
The fighting was long and brutal. While it was only for two years, they were the most grueling two years of her life to that point. Although she had been promised food, she often fought on an empty stomach. She was injured more than once even after she unlocked her aura, and Agnes would have to count on both hands the times the fear of death became frighteningly realistic. But the fighting ended in 21 AV, and her time of being moved around and forced to fight for different faces, all of whom had different goals and all of whom imparted a bit of their own philosophies onto an impressionable young child who didn't know any better left her mind in a dangerous place.
She had nobody now but a comatose father, and her pride as a Mantle citizen that had been imparted upon her by her mother was burning hotter than ever. She left for Menagerie to enroll in a program that attempted to give war orphans proper foster families; she had been told about it by a man who had guessed that she was without a home or family. She spent the next two or so months traveling via a sort of 'caravan' where she lived with a family for about a week before moving to the next. After all, the revolutionaries would no longer feed her as their cause had been won. When she arrived at Menagerie, her new family was a nice old faunus couple who did their best to raise her as their own daughter in spite of (or perhaps because of) her baggage. For the next few years she adjusted to a normal life, settled in to Menagerie and relearned how to interact with people as normally as she could. But one day the advertisements showed up for Haven Academy, and she decided to enroll. The advertisements had said they were seeking those with experience and drive. While she appreciated her foster parents' love and care, through the fighting and even past the end of it a dangerous thought had burned in her mind:
Things would be better if I was in charge.
