The noble warrior stood, and the people looked to her.
For she was a beacon - hope given form, yet still only human.
Within that truth there was great promise.
If one could stand against the night, then so too could anyone - everyone.
In her hand the warrior held a Rose. And her aura burned bright.

Erytheia Hellebore watched with vague bemusement as with a loud creaking noise, one of the trees that had caught fire in the battle earlier finally snapped under its own weight and crashed into the forest undergrowth, the damaged trunk no longer able to hold itself together. One that had stood for at least a good few decades, judging from its height. At least it wasn’t alone, she reflected, looking around the treeline to see various other trees in similar states of disarray. And given time, the fallen oaks and the various ashes that coated the floor would be reclaimed by the forest to fuel new growth. The open fires had burnt themselves out by now - she had helped see to it that their spread was limited, at least. Burning down one training area was enough - she didn’t want to have a reputation of arson where ever she went. And on a more practical note, she didn’t want to be smoked out of her new forward base for the next twenty four hours just because the wind shifted or something similar. Sure, there was still smoke drifting on the air currents, but it was white and light and would dissipate soon, rather than the black and heavy roiling smoke that had gone up during the battle. What a battle it was. The rocky ground was still charred in places where her lightning had electrified the weaker ones where they stood, and more than a few rocks had been shattered by the attacks of angry Grimm or the Polarity enhanced throws of an equally angry Deraine. In fact, Erytheia was fairly certain that the other Sanctum graduate had the more rage of the two - enough rage in him to pull in a good number of Grimm within quite a large radius, and yet also enough self control to call it forth and force it back on command. A force of nature indeed, and one not to be taken lightly at that. Not that she quite expected less from a Sanctum graduate, or that anyone at Haven seemed to take Deraine lightly - quite the opposite, really, when anyone could review his combat prowess at any time they wanted.
Sanctum had provided wilderness survival courses when she was studying there, and at least some of the lessons still remained with her through the haze of time and memory. Clear the Grimm from an area, which Deraine had graciously helped her with. Set up shelter, which she had done with a small cave on the rocky hill that oversaw the battle earlier. And create a defensible perimeter, which she couldn’t really do much about without a lot more strength and a lot more time.
Still, it was fairly cosy, if she did say so herself. A small campfire - one which she’d had no problem procuring wood for, considering the sheer amount of shattered branches and organic debris at the treeline below. A piece of rock that was surprisingly comfortable to seat herself on, all things considered, that she’d set up at the entrance to the cave so that she could keep an eye out. And her backpack safely stowed away behind some rocks inside the cave proper, so that she could better move without its encumbrance. Irkalla Arali was propped up against the rock wall beside her within reach, so that she could grab it in a heartbeat. She planned to, later, when she went out Grimm hunting, but for now it was time to rest, recharge her Aura, and eat.
Erytheia watched some of the old combat videos from the start of the semester while the water held in the mess tin on the fire boiled, with the earlier batch of students that had come before hers. One, in particular, had been recommended to her by Deraine - and was one she didn’t quite understand at first. Two diferent camera views - one focused on Elena Thorne and the snake Faunus that she’d seen hanging around Kishka simply digging fortifications into the ground for a few minutes before setting up an ambush in a hallway, and the other focused on a very large young man who was carrying his female teammate through the hallways with some kind of physical boost Semblance. Neither of them were students she had seen on campus before, and she briefly wondered what had happened to them before continuing the video.
The attacking team had promptly triggered the ambush and lost the big guy. The other surrendered after a few seconds, despite having bypassed the killing field and having Elena Thorne low on Aura while also theoretically having the advantage over a tired Steele. She supposed she could see the logic in her reasoning, but still…
Being snapped out of her thoughts by movement on the edge of her peripheral vision, Erytheia’s hand shot out to grab Irkalla Arali while she scanned the treeline below. And then she saw it - someone dressed in golden and white armor, just stepping out. More than a little glad to see it was a human and not Grimm of some kind, Erytheia tucked her Scroll into a pocket and stood, waving to catch the other’s attention. Deraine had helped her finish her objective already, but there was no reason she couldn’t offer a little shelter and supply to another student if she could afford it, especially since Carmim had left a while back.
