KISHKA BURZANOVA
She grinned at Rose, hearing the shorter girl's compliments. They were appreciated, especially coming from her. She hadn't seen much of Rose in action, but what she had seen, and the interactions they'd had so far in this room, meant she had some measure of respect for the Vacuoan that she didn't just give to anyone, willy-nilly. Colton got some of it too, but if he were less of an ass, he'd probably be as good as Rose, in her books.
Speaking of Magneto, Kishka nodded contentedly as he explained his rationale behind picking her- Colton was a smart guy. Maybe not as smart as her, but he was a smart guy, smart enough to know what a reasonable strategy for his draft was, anyways. And of course, she wouldn't mind the leadership role at all- it was, after all, something she excelled at, when given the opportunity. Of course, she was rarely given the opportunity, to begin with.
He did know how to play his cards, though, tossing her that bone. Now why couldn't he always be that way? Wouldn't kill him to appreciate your innate talents a little more often, instead of acting like he'd never met her, or mocking her boyfriend. Who was, of course, still going to absolutely demolish him in their duel.
She peered over Colton's shoulder as he went about making his picks, finally explaining to her who he planned on and why. Wasn't like she would go sell the information to Aegle or anything- the kid was piss-poor, and dumb as a brick, she couldn't use the info if she wanted to, and she couldn't afford it even if Kishka was selling it. She just wanted to know so she could ensure her team would be well-equipped for success. Fortunately, Colton wasn't an idiot.
His melee picks were reasonable- she didn't know Alex or what he could do very well, but Rose and Ruqa were solid contenders, and if Qiu'li had an extra brain cell, he might be worth the effort too. She was also pleased to see that he wasn't going to shoot for Asterion, unless they got dumped with him; finally, he was listening to her. Not that her advice needed to be taken on that one. He was almost pride of being a meat-headed dumbass. Made the draft easier to pick, at least.
She followed Colton's gesture to the ranged board as he explained it, and again, could do little but nod in agreement. And smirk as he mentioned Argent's name. "Of course Argent's at the top. He's the single-best ranged fighter in our class, by a far margin." Except for maybe Colton, in a room full of silverware, but she didn't mention that bit. "Holly's good too. I got to work with her in the forest, and while she's green as hell, she's not bad with her semblance or her weapon. She's an investment." And of course, Carmim was, as he said, overrated. And between her lack of anything resembling a brain, and her incessant chattering, the further she was from the Green Class the better.
She didn't argue with his Support choices either. Although, she was a little less dismissive of Eva than he was- the kid didn't have the stomach for real combat, but from what she'd shown Kishka in their brief fight, she could at least hold her own against a badly flat-footed opponent, and that was a decent start. Then again, she didn't know the other three Support picks, so she couldn't exactly compare them. Healing semblance was good, and whatever Ameli and Nasrin brought to the table, it would likely be just as useful. No arguments there.
And his analysis of the hybrids was just more flattery- appreciated flattery, at that, in spite of Colton's ego. Still, in spite of all the shit she talked, she did have to acknowledge that he was arguably the best hybrid on paper. But she still felt like she could outmatch him in the right situation, if she played her cards right. She didn't say so, though, as he noted her place as the second-best hybrid, beating out Theia.
"Exactly. I can think of a dozen reasons Aegle wouldn't want me, and a dozen she would want Erytheia. Shouldn't be a problem getting us both." She nodded after a moment, and smiled with confidence. "Sounds like you got your shit together then, Iron Man. Good stuff, Captain." Why exactly had she put in all that work to find this place again...? She needn't have doubted him; not with a killer plan like that.
She turned to Rose as the blonde spoke up, and her eyebrow rose a little at the request. Ameli was already in Colt's list of top picks, but if Rose was specifically asking for her, and especially dropping the hint that she wanted her for their team... Well, she might just have to look into her after all, see what made her so special. With a smile, she tossed Rose another drink, and cracked one open for herself. Gotta stay hydrated, you know?
Hmmm... It really was nice down in the little basement. A chill little hangout spot. The purple-haired girl leaned back into her seat as Rose spoke with a much softer tone than she had been using thus far. It was kind of cute, even; for all her wild side, she could be sweet too. "Hell yeah, Rose. Sounds like a plan to me."
Green class was going to be chill as hell, she could already feel it.

Bravery is believing in yourself, and that's one thing nobody can teach you.
The commentary grated on the brunette a bit, but he would simply grin and bear it for now.
Ameli was stiff and asinine, even by Colton’s standards. She had a unique semblance, though, and one that could potentially be extremely useful. He wasn’t picking for personality, or she’d be much lower on the draft board. He had her in second place, behind Nasrin but above both Jack and Eva who was last place. Thankfully, an annoyed hand was already pinching his nose when the blonde asked Kishka over for a group sleepover. It took an immense amount of discipline to not outwardly react, but he just rolled his already closed eyes and just about managed it.
Kishka’s comments were just bragging about Argent and herself and showed clearly that she overrated both of them. It was consistent with earlier discussion, though, and to be expected. Well-heeled young woman falls in love with snake faunus out of a sense of misplaced teenage rebellion and thinks the scrawny math geek is suddenly Achilles in the flesh. It was a tale as old as time, and her grandparents were probably spinning in their graves right about now. Before the Faunus Rights Revolution, you’d be kicked out of any respectable family for being romantically involved with a faunus in public. After the Faunus Rights Revolution, the number dropped from one hundred percent to slightly lower than one hundred percent.
It just wasn’t really done, and not something that most would want to flaunt in public if they could be disinherited… though he supposed that Kishka never had an inheritance to begin with, seeing as Bel was the golden one who would get everything anyway. Segregation was still oh so very real, which Argent’s mother found out really quick once she married into money and wasn’t allowed to go anywhere or do anything with her husband in public settings. In fact, last he read the rumor was it that investors were likely to do a hostile takeover of the company in order to save public image in the face of growing work with the exceptionally conservative Atlas government.
Not that he thought Kishka did even the minimum of research or thought about any of this at all. Hell, Argent wasn’t even allowed in all the supermarkets in the capital and a lot of the mid to high end restaurants besides. Dude got the shit beat out of him by randoms in the first days of school because he couldn’t fucking defend himself, and the Burzanova girl thought he could actually stand a chance against Colton Deraine.
Fucking delusional. It was blindless and unconditional support without thought, leading to causing the scrawny math nerd more suffering than he would otherwise he forced to endure for the sake of humoring the idiot he was involved with. Losing to Colton normally would be zero shame and zero social negative but forcing all of these stipulations to stack the deck in his favor from the perspective of any outsider would result in a lot of shame and a lot of humiliation. The bowman removing the one ranged ability from Colton and then losing a fight where he could simply attack at will from an unassailable range for much of the first few minutes was just pathetic, visually, and wouldn’t exactly make the rest of the class to see him as the masterful archer that Kishka seemed to think he was… despite the fact that he relied on his semblance more than Colton did in the first place.
