I know you got hate in you. Most do. Trick is to use it, 'stead of it usin' you.
But you know this. Vengeance is a motivator, not the motive.
Don't hunt 'em 'cause you been wronged.
Hunt 'em 'cause what they did was wrong.
There's a world of difference there, kid.
One makes you selfish. The other makes you a hero.
And I see a hero in you.

Argent reacted fast enough to jerk his head in time as the blood came spewing out in great force. The table behind, however, was completely blindsided by the squirting liquid, and there were shrieks of disgust from the two girls who simply had the misfortune to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and thus were splattered liberally with the results of Nicholas’ vigorous efforts. Ignoring the wailing that had gone up from behind him, the snake Faunus simply turned to eye the white haired human with a stare, one that the other shrugged in response to before turning his attention back to the mutilation of the arm in front of them.He stared down at the arm for a few moments before sighing and pulling the medical kit closer. It wasn’t the first time he’d had to perform first aid, but it was certainly the first time that it had been this severe. Most of the time, Aura protected one from that kind of damage, and the duo who’d taken him under their wing had been very careful with those kinds of risks going forward, especially with a barely trained assistant like himself following them into the thick of battle. Which in turn meant that the wounds he had treated before were far more minor, but the good doctor had provided enough of a tutorial that he felt, if not confident in his treatment, then at least reasonably sure of the procedure to take.
Positioning the arm so that the hand was raised higher than the shoulder so that gravity would assist in keeping the blood flow from worsening, Argent got to work. Fashioning a spare dressing into a makeshift tourniquet, he tied it around the upper portion of the arm, where the blood was pumping in, and then repeated it with a knot over the first one while maintaining the pressure of his other hand on the area. The bleeding slowed to a trickle, which was about as much as he could have hoped for, and he moved on to cleaning the wound out. Leaving the scalpel in was probably for the best at this point - removing it would probably cause another gush of blood before he could move on to treating it. Uncapping the bottle of disinfecting alcohol, Argent splashed some into the wound. If this was a living person, that would no doubt burn like hell. Easily justifiable, though, since speed was of the essence and he didn’t have the time to clean it in greater detail. A quick wipe down of the remaining liquid to keep it as dry as possible, and that was done.
Was it cheating to use one’s Semblance in the class? The snake Faunus didn’t think so, and so the needle glowed silver as he pushed it through the skin at the base of the wound, winding round and round through the muscle and pulling the flaps of meat back together on it’s own accord while he watched, his hands preparing the dressing. It was a lot faster than he could have done by hand, of course, but in a situation where time precious and every second counted, he was sure no medic would mind. Placing the gauze atop the wound, Argent proceeded to wrap the bandage tightly and securely around the whole affair before tying it off with a knot and cutting it with the provided scissors, completing the treatment of the first wound.
The entire affair had been methodical and controlled, almost like a machine might perform, if a machine was capable of this kind of treatment without human intervention - but it lacked the familiarity that a more experienced medical worker might have, in the same sense that a chef trying a new recipe for the first time would not be as familiar as one who has been cooking the very same recipe for years. For his part, Argent was completely silent throughout, seemingly focused on his task. In similar fashion, he removed the scalpel from the puncture wound and cleaned it in similar fashion as he had the previous one. As this wound was a lot deeper than the one before, but nowhere near as wide, he didn’t need to sew it shut, and so moved on straight to dressing and bandaging the wound. All in all, it took about six minutes for him to finish, which was a decent record, all things considered.
The task complete at last, Argent seemed to come out of the trance that had fallen over him as he worked, blinking a few times before focusing on Nicholas and his newly treated severed arm, which was swaddled in as much cloth as a newly born babe.
“…We’ll need another one, I think.”
