They are fitted with all kinds of pockets on the inside in which the woman carries a variety of things. From her weapons, to tissues, to snacks, and all kinds of general convenient things to have. For a woman of her age, Meng carries herself well and seems to have little trouble with moving, all though it is still slower than most younger people. Meng's visage are wrinkled and either presented as a smile or as a person deep in thought. Her skin is pale both from old age and staying mostly indoors.
Personality: For many students Meng could be seen as a grandmother many didn't have in the violent world of Remnant. Meng seems to enjoy teaching, even when students are not the most thrilled about it at times. She has a caring nature for the students at the Academy. As she gives courses that are more focused on courses that are useful off the battlefield, she seems to value the motivation of the students to learn more than their combative prowess. Even if you are not gifted, when you come to her class and give it a solid effort, you are almost guaranteed to get a passing grade. Combined with a non-judgemental attitude, a slight hint of wit, and capacity to be a listening ear, Meng is trying to get the best out of students in her own way.
Her own interests are a mixed bag of aspects other long life. She values artistic expressions highly, and in unique ways she hasn't seen before. She is known to drink a lot of tea to the point that it might be unhealthy to some, but she just laughs it off with saying that it is the reason she got so old in the first place. Another of her imperfections is a tendency to gamble in her free time, and it is rumored that she lost almost all of her earnings from being a Huntress in such a fashion. While she is hardened by age, she does tend to try and see the best in people and give everyone a fair chance. She doesn't judge on background or race despite her upbringing in the old Mistral.

Maids of the Mist
Semblance Type: Clone
One Sentence Summary of Semblance: Meng can create three mist-like apparitions while disguising herself as one of them.
Description of Semblance: When Meng activates her semblance up to three clones are formed at her current location. The clones are muted white in colour and are semi-transparent, an appearance that Meng Long gains as well. They are a tool of diversion and confusion, following Meng's mental commands. While they do not exert a physical force themselves, they mimic having some density when struck. Not enough to fool someone attacking in melee, but enough to fool light ranged attacks as well as minor things hitting them. If the clones would strike a target on their own, the attack goes right through the target without doing any harm. Unless one of them is secretly Meng, that is. To the naked eye the clones are indistinguishable from Meng's changed appearance when her semblance is active. Unintelligent Grimm can also normally not discern the difference between them. The clones are able to move while they are active, as is Meng herself. When Meng makes a sound with her voice, all clones echo the same sound. One clone is not too tasking for Meng to create and keep active, but all three is a burden for a longer duration if Ming is also fighting herself.
Drawbacks of Semblance: The largest drawback of the semblance is when an opponent has found the real Meng, and she is unable to shake off that awareness, her semblance becomes a slight distraction at best. Because of this her semblance works best if she can activate it from hiding or when an enemy is distracted. The clones are also reliant on Meng's attention to move and act. While she has become very proficient in controlling them over her long years, if she isn't able to focus on them for a reason they just stand motionless. The fact that the clones do not inflict damage themselves can also be seen as a weakness compared to other semblances.
Yǔmáo
Description of Weapons(s): Meng Long carries around a set of twin short blades, which can unfold to form durable war fans. The covers are sewn with dust in them and can be replaced when used, though Meng normally carries one with steam and one with fire. The folded blades are small enough to be carries in Meng's long sleeves when not in use.

Biography
History
Meng Long was born in a prominent artistic family in Mistral's capital as the eldest of five. While not extraordinarily wealthy or influential at the time, Meng was compelled to follow tradition and excel in the arts like their family had always done. While she was gifted and skilled in acting, dance and song, finding steady work at the time was difficult. Mistral's policy of banning artistic expression in its outer territories caused a large influx of performers to migrate to the capital. With the talent pool almost spilling over, Meng sought alternative employment to ensure that her family could enjoy their way of life.
Luckily, Mistral's military had found a use for the abundance of patriotic actors in the capital with the threat of war on the horizon. In an attempt to get ahead of potential conflict, the kingdom trained spies and infiltrators who could be send abroad to Vale and Vacuo. Thanks to Meng Long's cleverness, loyalty, and acting ability, she received extensive training to become a successful infiltrator. She learned how to fight, how to survive in the wild, how to find and track people, how people from vale acted, and all the other relevant skills a covert operator required. Meng left for Vale a few months before the War started.
Meng does not speak much about her time during the war beyond the following. She seemed to have found peace with what she did during the war, and with how it eventually ended. During the first years, she performed subterfuge against military targets with cloak-and-dagger tactics. Still, the war lasted far longer than initially suspected, and the possibility to complete assignments became slimmer as the enemy became more wary of sabotage. Still loyal to the cause, Meng was tasked with traveling to Vale's capital and acting as a sleeper agent till the moment was right. That moment never really came. She apparently adapted well to a civil life. She said she became a kindergarten teacher and even married, though she rarely speaks about with who she was wed. It apparently wasn't a happy marriage. She did as such when peace was made, slipping out of that life as easily as she started.
Back in Mistral, Meng Long didn't felt much for living a quiet life. While she wasn't the strongest combatant under the veterans of the great war, the infiltrator had other qualities that made her suited to be a Huntress. During a 12-year career Meng distinguished herself as an excellent search and rescue expert, as well as a decent enough bounty-hunter. Still, fighting larger hordes of Grimm was never her strength, and if she could she avoided such confrontations. Eventually, age caught up with the woman when she became fifty. Her alternatives were either an early retirement or finding other employment. Her choice was made when there was an offering to become a teacher at Haven Academy for the more classical and creative courses that were also taught. Having a background in the arts, as well as some teaching experience, the hiring process didn't take long.
During the Faunus War, Meng remained a teacher and did not actively involved herself in the conflict. Meng Long was one of the few faculty members not present on the airship that crashed during The Fall, as she was on leave at the time. The reason was twofold: First, as she wasn't an active combat instructor at the time, she would be there merely for moral support and there was already enough faculty to fill that role. Secondly, her niece was expecting a child at the time and Meng wanted to be there to help out her family. She took the loss of her colleagues and students heavily, and still leaves flowers at the memorial every week.
