'I will meet you at the weird Ramen seller at the edge of the market. The one with the yellow duck.'[break] [break]
It was the last message Holly send towards Kishka, and it was the place they would most likely meet up for the most important purchase of Holly's life. More important than something like a weapon, or a house, ever could hope to be. She needed to look good for her boyfriend. She needed something red to wear, and she alerted the one person she knew was both qualified and willing to help.[break] [break]
Miss Mastermind.[break] [break]
Kishka was smart in ways Holly was not. When Holly approached her through text that she needed help to get an outfit, Kishka gave a date and a place. That was enough for Holly. She didn't needed more, and made sure to be there at the right time. Putting your trust in someone was nice for once. Certainly when you wanted to make sense of the place called the Grand Bazaar. Because to Holly, it really was a grand place. And she didn't like it.[break] [break]
Holly didn't liked the large number of people just coming and going as they pleased. To many sounds, too many sights. Hard to make sense of it all without loosing focus. She was at the edge of where the bazaar started properly, and it was as good as a meeting point as any. There was a noodle stand next to Holly, which had a massive duck on top of it as a mascot. The yellow kind that you seemed to place in a bathtub, Holly had been explained. Why the owner didn't had an edible duck as a mascot, instead of a plastic one, was a mystery to Holly. Maybe he found this one and just placed it on top of the stand? It was certainly noticeable.[break] [break]
The owner of the stand seemed to have no customers at the moment, and in an attempt to get a new customers turned towards Holly to ask: "Does a pretty girl like you want any noodles? I will give you a good price!"[break] [break]
Holly, defiant and certain as she was, merely turned her head away from the salesman. With pride in her deadpan voice she spoke. "I am sorry, but I already got a boyfriend."[break] [break]
It didn't even made sense in this context, yet she was kinda happy that she could say it. The noodle-maker just looked confused. [break] [break]

KISHKA BURZANOVA
"hell yeah girl!! we'll be there in ten. so fucking ready, LET'S  GO  YES  !!! :ok_hand:"
Shooting Holly a quick text, Kishka finished throwing on her own outfit for the day. If they were going clothing shopping, she had better look presentable, right? Nothing too flashy or complex, she threw on a flow-y lavender blouse to match her hair, and a slick black skirt. Over her shoulder was her favorite purse, black leather with a shiny gold buckle. And of course, the requisite heels- she had seen every possible mean-girl-clique-at-a-combat-school movie there was, and all of the musical theatre renditions that came out after the fact, and not a single damn one went without heels when there was real shit to do.
And buying Holly a proper dress was what real shit looked like. And it would show up that bitch, Nasrin, once and for all. Oooh, that shit made her mad in the Haven group chat. Where did that nobody even think she was coming from with all that hate thrown at Holly? Holly was so sweet, and would never do something as mean and nasty as flame somebody's entire existence.
That was what Kishka was there for!
Shaking her head with a sigh, she texted Rose a quick message- she'd invited her to go shopping with the two of them, mostly just because lately, she'd been finding herself really clicking with the other girl's personality. She was direct, abrasive, and a complete and total alpha bitch, and she loved that about Rose.
Which was weird. Usually she hated girls like that. Rose was different, though. Maybe it was the way she gave Colton shit all the time? Definitely a commendable trait.
"yo girl you ready??? i'm headed down to the market rn, holly said she's at the ramen stall on the edge, with the yellow duck. we bout to boost her whole ass wardrobe i'm hype"
And so, she headed down, just as she said she would, and eventually, she got to the stall where they were supposed to meet. She wondered briefly what weird shenanigans Holly was getting into here, while she was on her way, but she definitely didn't care enough to try and find out- what Holly did on her own time, alone, with the noodle shop, was her business, and probably nothing Kishka even wanted to know.
"Holly! Sorry for the wait, I had to make sure I had everything. Rose is on her way, still, I think. I hope. I guess we can just wait here until then. So... New dress for your boyfriend, huh?" Her purple eyes glimmered with something almost like mischief. Oh yeah.
Her and Rose were going to have a fun time with this mission. Hopefully Holly would too.
One thing was sure, though- her boyfriend was going to be extremely satisfied with their choices, if he had even a single heterosexual bone in his body. There was nothing on her little island that could have possibly prepared Holly for what was about to happen, but Kishka could guarantee that it would be a life-changing experience, at the least.

Rose had spent the beginning of her day just the same as every day, hacking away at the training dummies in the gym. Hours were spent in exhaustive tactical maneuvers, heavy swings of her sword, and various flips to keep her stamina up. She would be the best...no matter what. Though she had only been at the school for a short time, the blonde was already acclimating to every day life at Haven Academy. Training was an excuse to keep busy and avoid most of the other students outside of class, but she would be lying if she said that it wasn't a lonely practice.
As she cut down a helpless dummy, her scroll chimed loudly next to a towel on the far bench. Who in the blazes was calling her? No one ever called her except maybe a teacher or a telemarketer. She skipped her way over to the bench and raised a curious brow at the name Kishka.
Oh! That was the girl who barged in during the time when she and Colt were working to analyze potential class mates. Kish was definitely someone that Rose hadn't thought to encounter in the school though. Straightforward, cunning, and with a no nonsense attitude! The girl had guts, for sure, and the two had traded numbers but Rose couldn't find the right opportunity to get in touch. Though it had slipped her mind that she was invited to hang out that day.
"The hell does 'rn' mean? Um...well I guess she wants to meet up at the market. Well Rose, you did promise. Never been shopping before...god I hope it doesn't suck."
Sending a quick message that she'd be there soon, Rose pocketed her Scroll back into her pocket and ran off to her room where she took a quick shower. She slipped into a short white tank top, ripped jean shorts, sneakers, and her jacket before heading out the door. Rose was pretty simple when it came to her attire. Function over fashion was how she dressed and usually she showed off a lot of skin to let her body breath. Would her advice really be all that helpful though when picking out clothes?
The blonde was a tad late to the Grand Bazaar, having to stop a time or two for directions since she still was unfamiliar to the area. But soon enough she had spotted the two girls near the stall and trotted over with her hands in her jacket pockets to greet them.
"Yo, sorry I'm late and all. Still can't quite figure out all these different buildings and shit. Thanks for the invite, Kishy...I gotta admit that I'm not the best at reachin' out to people with the warm and fuzzies and shit."
With a very wide grin, Rose held her fist out toward Holly. "I'm Rose by the way! A bit new around here, but Kishy says you're cool. So like we've got all day, yeah? Let's get this fashion show on the road and see if we can't score this girl some sexy points!"
Luckily, Holly didn't needed to wait too long with this overly friendly shopkeeper before Kishka arrived in the distance. Good, she is here! Wait, Rose? Ow yeah...she was coming to right? Ugh, would she be good at searching out dresses? Maybe? As long as Kishka took the lead, everything will turn out right. Holly answered Kishka in a slightly more happy tone than usual when discussing the topic of boyfriend. "Yes, I want to look nice for Ryan. I also want to buy more clothing in general now that I have some money. People have been calling me out on it for some time now." [break] [break]
While Holly didn't cared much about what she wore for her own sake... nobody liked getting negative comment about their appearance. You can only be called dirty so many times before you try to use conditioner on your hair...and not achieve anything. It was the same with clothing/ Wearing the same dress got her so many comments that she just gave up defending it. Not that she had much of a choice before Gardenin Club. She simply didn't had the money to buy anything nice to wear. Now that she had started to sell some of the produce she had grown...there was an income to buy clothing with. There was an escape out of white dress town.[break] [break]
The arrival of another girl did prove to be enough reason for one particular noodle-salesman to give it a second go. His comment was now directed at Kishka. "You want famous duck noodles? I use real duck now! Very cheap, very tasty. Quack, Quack!" Nobody in the world ever sold anything by ending the sentence with 'Quack, quack', but it seemed to be a genuine tactic for this guy as he said it with the utmost conviction. He believed in duck flavored Duck noodles.[break] [break]
Not soon after the noodle-maker tried his luck with Kishka, did Rose appear into view. When the blond turned towards Holly with her fist held out, there was some confusion. What was she supposed to do with that? After being puzzled for a moment with the gesture, Holly decided to shake the fist with her hand for a moment before just leaving it at that. Holly gave her introductory line in its usual unexpressive diction. "Holly Hock, I like plants, and I require your help with searching and buying a dress for Ryan. I am new to buying clothing, so I will listen to the advice and guidance you two can offer me."[break] [break]
Noodle-senpai saw this third potential customer as yet another chance to save the Duck Noodle brand. Making a heroic pose with a bowl in his hand, he tried to offer Rose some food as well. The salesman didn't seem to recognize any of the three girls being anything different than regular shoppers. "You there, Blond Beauty! Delicious Duck noodles! You will be dying to have them in your mouth! Very cheap, very tasty. Quack, quack!" He was on a roll with his duck impression now. Not that it seemed to give him any business, as most other patrons seemed to make sure they didn't even came close to the noodle stand despite how busy it was in the Grand Bazaar. [break] [break]

KISHKA BURZANOVA
Ryan... Ryan, Ryan...
Nope. Name didn't really ring any bells. But if it was Holly's boyfriend, Kishka was going to be as supportive as she needed to be, within reason! She smiled down to her magenta-haired apprentice. "Hey, as long as it's what you wanna do- but don't take what other people say too seriously, a lot of people are assholes." Nasrin came to mind. From what she'd seen on the Haven Academy chat, that girl had apparently been one of the ones harassing Holly about her clothing choices for a while now. She definitely shouldn't have been, though- the last time skater punk was in fashion, she'd been in fucking diapers. Speaking of rude and obnoxious people, the duck noodle vendor had turned his attention on to Kishka, trying his damnedest to peddle some noodles her way.
Yeah, no. She'd been hit on too many times at this market. "Sorry, I have a boyfriend." She hadn't even turned around to acknowledge what the man was quacking about, she just figured it was another admirer. It was so hard to shop in the market sometimes. The curse that is unrivaled beauty, surely.
Soon after the poor duck man was rejected, the third member of their adventuring party arrived, and she greeted Rose with a fond smile and a wave. "Any time, Rosy." It was about time they got to hang out without Colton's fun-smashing ass in tow, after all. Now... Finding something sexy... Kishka paused for a minute to figure out which shop would be best suited for their needs, as the duck vendor moved on to the next unsuspecting mark, Rose. Ugh. What a desperate loser, and his noodles probably aren't even that good.
Wait.
No, she'd had those duck noodles before.
They were okay.
Still didn't justify that noodle man flirting with her so hard, when she was perfectly happy with Argent. Plus, that dude was like twenty years older than her, and she didn't have a thing for dad bod. Nope. Left swipe, X. Not having it.
Suddenly, she was struck with a brilliant idea. She knew exactly which store they would be going to, and exactly what they were going to start with. A grin spread across her face- Luscious Lacey's Lovely Ladies' Lingerie, of course. It was where she bought some of her best clothes that only Argent was ever going to see. But they also had options that were more ballroom than bedroom. "Alright girls, I think I know the perfect spot for our first stop." And with the confidence she was practically renowned for, she started off towards the store, on the far end of the Grand Bazaar.
"And you want something red, right, P.I.?" Ahhh, yes, a nickname for a nickname. Kishka was steadily proving herself to be on top of all of the hippest and most happening trends. They could definitely manage something red. Something red and worth lots of sexy points, as Rose had so adequately put it.
This was going to be fun. Very, very, very fun.

Rose raised a brow of confusion at Holly as she shook her extended fist. Did she not know how to...no never mind. Rose wasn't exactly a scion of social perfection herself! At one point she'd have put a fist in your face before shaking hands, so this was more than acceptable to her. It would have made her crack a smile even, if it weren't for the awkwardness of their prior meeting.
The blonde stuffed her hands into her jacket pockets and coughed to clear the air. She had done quite a number on Holly in their first match of the tournament. It wasn't just a fight either. She legitimately seemed to break a little bit of the girl and she worried if the damage to any potential relationship was irreparable. Thankfully Kish was more than energetic and up to the task of getting them all going.
Some rando was hocking shit at Rose, calling her cheap names that were as cheap as the shit he was selling. And it was kind of starting to piss her off. So she seized him by the throat and pulled him close to glare with fire in her eyes.
"Look here, buster brown. There ain't now way anything of yours is going into my mouth. You get me? Quack. Quack. Fuck. Off."
With that, she shoved him away with a touch of control so he wouldn't be sent flying and then followed along with both Holly and Kishka to their next destination. Kishka had led them to a...lingerie store? An undies shop? But weren't they looking for a dress?
"I'm not the greatest when it comes to clothes and shit, if I'm bein' honest. But I can tell what's hot or not, so I could be a judge or something. But uh..." She scratched her cheek as she could feel her eyes widening at Holly. "Hey Holly, how serious are you with this Ryan guy? Like just chilling or do you plan on going down on him? 'Cause I think this store is for making guys hot and bothered over you."
Not like Rose minded. She had never...thought of such things in terms of affection or romance. Most of her expertise in that field was in control. Dominance. She didn't fall in love or anything like that...no. She shook her head to get the image of a certain someone out of her head and bared a wide grin at Kishka.
"That's alot of L's in that shop. Been here before, have we? Naughty girl. You got someone special that you model for or do you not kiss and tell?"

The seller of 'okay-tasting' noodles should have honestly kept his mouth shut. First he got another girl telling him to buzz off with the same weird phrase. He wanted to insist that maybe their boyfriends would like some noodles to-go as well, but any such comment was stifled quite literally when Rose took a more active approach. When Rose first approached his little stand, he was still hopeful to make a sell. When the blond nearly pulled the poor Duck-themed vendor out of his stand and gave him a death glare, all that the vendor could give in protest was a scared yelp before he was released again. All right, no noodles, yeesh! The vendor made sure to not even look at the three girls as they went on their way. This was most likely assault, wasn't it? Nah, better not press charges. Noodles needed his full attention. If he wasn't a salesman of noodles, than he didn't knew what he was. [break] [break]
Holly Hock looked at the scene of Rose, and a shiver went down her spine, and her eyes turned fearful for a split moment. Images flashed in her mind of the...eventful...exhibition match the two had a few days ago. Holly had tried to repress the memories as well as she was able. She wasn't Rose enemy today, she was her friend! Friends with a woman who seemed to enjoy manhandling slightly pushy vendors with physical violence. Holly shook her head a few times before turning towards Kishka who had just spoken about how a lot of people were assholes. Holly simply nodded to the other girl. She knew it all to well. Holly wanted to change her clothing for other people, yes, but not for any asshole. Nasrin's comment, all the other comments, they weren't enough to cause the girl to diversify her wardrobe. It was one person. One person who mattered enough to buy clothing. [break] [break]
The pink haired plant enthusiast followed Kishka, making sure that the purple haired mastermind was between Holly and Rose. She tried to treat it as nonchalantly as possible. She responded to Kishka's question with a firm nods. "Yes! As red as cranberries, or cherries, or roses! Red of any bright and nice kind!" Yes, a nice dress, or a shirt...maybe a skirt? Something that looked nice regardless of occasion. Perhaps she should also buy something more extravagant? Wasn't there a dance coming up in the distant future? Holly wasn't completely sure yet, but dances needed dresses, yes? [break] [break]
When the three girls were standing before the lingerie store though, Holly looked at Rose when she spoke. Going down on Ryan? Ryan was way taller than Holly. If anything, Holly needed to go up! Also, Ryan was already hot and bothered when Holly was near him. He blushed like a tomato when she already held his hands or something like that. Getting him to be any more hot and bothered might cause Ryan to collapse. Still, on the question how serious Holly was, she could speak more clearly. The girl sounded happy when talking about Ryan, her feelings overpowering her normal bland voice. "I am very serious with Ryan! He brightens up my day when he is just near me! He might be my first boyfriend, but I am totally ready to take the next step in our relationship and get a mortgage together!" [break] [break]
Holly took her eyes off Rose now, as she looked at the store. It seemed to be...very revealing clothing? Like...barely covering anything at all? Holly had seen some videos with women wearing such clothing. It seemed to have a positive reaction on their boyfriends, husbands, and possible criminals they were sleeping with to get information. All well and good! Holly squinted and saw that one of the advertisements in the store even promised to 'Become Bedroom Ready!' Holly was convinced. "I want to get into Ryan's bedroom for a night, so if Luscious Lacey's Lov..., Luscious Laca..., Luscious Lacey's... Lovely Laddy....," Holly stopped pretending she could speak the full name of the store out loud and tried again. "If Lacey's can get me into Ryan's bedroom than it is going to be our first stop. After that dresses. After that, yogurt. I watched a video that girl friends eat yogurt together, and I haven't really had any other than my sisters before today!" Maybe yogurt could fix the damage done between Rose and Holly.[break] [break]

KISHKA BURZANOVA
Ahh, Rose's reaction to the duck noodle guy sure did Kishka's heart good. Serves him right for being a shit salesperson- maybe if he was better at his job, someone would actually buy his stupid noodles. Or at least, acknowledge him beyond telling him to go fuck himself.
Gods, she fucking hated noodle vendors.
For no specific reason, honestly. They had never done anything to her, personally, except peddle their shitty, trash, wares. Kishka even liked duck noodles, quite a bit actually. But only from a respectable sit-down restaurant with a roof and walls. None of this silly outdoors cart bullshit, that was for sure. If one didn't have standards, when it came to duck noodles, what did one have?
Kishka therefore smiled approvingly at the display of anti-vendor violence, before commencing with her plan. She led her small entourage to Luscious Lacey's, and listened to their conversation as they walked. She cracked an amused grin at Rose's suggestive question to Holly, and at Holly's answer, couldn't help but laugh at the mention of buying a mortgage. Sweet fuck, this girl was strange. But Kishka wasn't one to judge (or at least, she didn't judge her friends' weird-ass habits and personalities), so she didn't question it. As they reached the storefront, though, Rose's questions found their way to Kishka, who beamed with pride, as she puffed out her chest a little; she was always waiting for an opportunity to brag about her man.
"But of course. Anything for my Argent." She threw a sly wink in the Vacuoan's direction. She was never one to be conservative and reserved about such matters, and that much was clear from the place of business she frequented for all of her most scandalous needs. "But don't worry, Ivy, they sell more than underwear here. There's a section with dresses that we can check out first." Although, if the other merchandise was anything to go by, those dresses were definitely bound to be a little risque. And why wouldn't they be? She wanted to knock Ryan's socks off. She wanted Holly to impress him so much, he forgot what socks were.
Although, as Holly started talking about getting in bed with him, Kishka started to think maybe the lingerie was what she wanted out of this after all... Hey, why the hell not? And the suggestion of frozen yogurt did have some appeal to it. "Sounds like a plan. Well, Holly... After you." With a wide grin, Kishka pulled open the door to the little shop, gesturing for Holly to step through the threshold, into a world of frilly, lacy, garments that she would undoubtedly give Ryan a massive heart attack.

She had underestimated Holly, it seemed. Rose assumed that she was the timid and quiet type but hearing her talking about bedrooms and lingerie made the blonde raise an amused brow that wrinkled her exposed forehead. The shop itself was definitely not something that Rose would ever enter on her own though. Not because she was embarrassed, but because she had no use for such frivolous accessories.
Rosalia's entire existence was life or death so she had little use for fancy clothing. In fact most of the time she didn't even wear any underwear in Vacuo, though sand tended to get caught in...less than desirable places. It interfered with her loose clothing at the time and was a mere afterthought to the warrior. So when she took a cautious step inside of the cleverly named Luscious Lacey's, Rose was taken aback at the sight of other girlies holding up various bits of under garments and other linens.
"I have faced death and spat in his face, but this place...it scares me. Kish, what fresh hell have you delivered us to?" She murmured.
Giggles and prancing. It was a feminine thing that she wasn't really used to until recently and Rose still hated it. In fact, laughter was also something that she was unaccustomed to. Sure, her men laughed in victory but that was more out of blood lust than excitement. In her company of bandits there were other women who were at times more masculine than some of the men! So seeing this display of glee and cheer put Rosalia on edge.
But this was all in the intention of friendship, so Rose uncomfortably stepped to the side to let her more feminine company pass by her. The colors gave her a headache and the noises frustrated her...almost to the point of snapping some necks. If only she had the forethought to bring her weapon with her. Maybe next time?
Growing up eating dehydrated meats and fruits, she had no concept of what this yogurt was and why it was frozen. Cold foods were a luxury that she didn't even try when touring the various cities since it was foreign to her. It wouldn't hurt to try though if Holly and Kishka recommended it though. Until then, Rose crossed her arms firmly and followed close with a frown.
"Do guys really care about shit like this? Like that's pretty god damned shallow of them if they like their women dolled up in frills instead of going for thrills. Civilized culture, my ass. I guess some don't have a choice and they let them get pushed past the breaking point."
Rose lifted a pair of red lace panties and grimaced at it. It didn't offer any appeal to her at all. "Also what the hell is yogurt? Is it tasty?"
Letting Holly into a lingerie/dress store was perhaps quite an eye-opener for the girl. The moment that she entered the store, she ran off to look at everything that seemed shiny and interesting, seeming to ditch her friends for a few moments if they didn’t follow or tried to contain the girl’s excitement for looking at clothing and the things that go under clothing. [break] [break] For one, there were so many colours all around that it was actually quite nice to look at. So many different designs! Ryan would love it here! All these kinds of things he can draw on Holly, and watch Holly wear! He will be charmed and totally in love and everything will be great and there will be children within a year or so! Holly picked out a cute red dress that she would need to fit most likely, but it would be lovely. That was a Lacey promise! Or a…Ladies’ promise? [break] [break] Secondly, Holly found out that there was this wonderful thing called a push-up bra. Like…they looked like magic. Holly didn’t have much up top, but it seemed like this magic bra could provide the illusion that there was more than there actually was. Genius. Holly made sure to pick out a push-up bra that would fit her size. [break] [break] Thirdly, the pinkette seemed to have been very amused when she discovered a section with panties that had holes in the back. Holly, maybe a bit too loud and excited, called over Kishka and Rose to look at the underwear with; “Holes cut out so that you could have a poop!”. A maybe bit disgruntled, but otherwise helpful saleswoman, pointed out that it was a line of garments meant for Faunus with tails and that Luscious Lacey's Lovely Ladies' Lingerie praised itself on being the most inclusive establishment for all your apparels. [break] [break] When Rose spoke up about Holly actually enjoying all of this ‘shit’, Holly was already very much in the grip of commercialism as she turned around towards Rose. While Holly didn’t give a smile, there was a small hint of joy that underlined her monotone voice that went in rapidly through her thought process. “I care about looking good for Ryan! He said that red would look good on me, so I want to make him happy by wearing something red. If I don’t do that, then he might not like me as much and our relationship would spiral out of control and he might want to look at other women instead of me as we slowly drift apart over the duration of a couple of months in which I try more and more desperate schemes to get his attention that would in the end only seal the end of our engagement and wedding plans!” [break] [break] Holly looked for a moment at the junk in her arms, and then back to Rose. Her eye twitched just a little bit after her crazy tirade, as the girl caught her breath enough to continue. [break] [break] “Yoghurt is supposed to be yummy! I am going to try on one of these things now!” [break] [break] And with that Holly was off to the fitting rooms to try on one of these nice new things that would give a spark to her relationship to help Ryan open up and proclaim that he loved her! [break] [break] A totally normal thing to expect after dating for a month or so. [break] [break] Telling the other person that they love them. [break] [break] Yup! [break] [break]

KISHKA BURZANOVA
It was always a good time introducing the uninitiated to the world of Luscious Lacey's.
And today was no different. Kishka could barely contain a snickering giggle as Holly rocketed into the shop, headfirst, and grinned at Rose as the ordinarily-cocksure and confident Vacuoan expressed her overwhelmed reaction to the wide assortment of clothing and other items on display in the store. It was a pretty up-scale establishment, and they definitely didn't shy away from "sex sells" as a business model, with their carefully posed mannequins and advertising posters.
"You're not scared of a little clothing store, are you, Rose?" The great and fearless conqueror of the desert, stomach queasy from some fancy fabric and lace. Kishka stepped into the shop casually, as she teased her friend a bit, and quickly found an ever-so-slightly risque little négligée on display that she picked up and began examining from a few different angles as Holly went about her shenanigans, and Rose trailed reluctantly behind her.
She responded idly as she picked up a few more items, looking them over and getting a feel for the silky material, and the different colors- mostly shades of purple, and black. She definitely had a style, what could she say? "Some guys do." She snickered again as Holly shouted something poop holes in the Faunus-friendly panties. That girl was a trip, that was for sure. "Some, a bit too much, if you ask me. Argent doesn't really care, one way or the other, but I like wearing it sometimes anyways. How's this one look?"
Abruptly, she stopped and turned around, holding the semi-transparent nightgown up over her body, for Rose to see and judge for her.
While she did that, it was about the same time that Holly popped back up, rattling off a very mildly excited explanation to Rose about her interest in looking good for her boyfriend. It was an... Interesting train of thought, that was derailed at least twice, in the same sentence, she was pretty sure. But she smiled anyways at the pink-haired girl's baffling logic. "Eh, I'm not sure he'd leave you over the color of your dress, Ivy. Though I guess you know him better than I do, so- wait, actually, wedding plans...?" The last bit of Holly's strange spiel finally caught up with her, just as the tiny ball of energy rocketed off again, towards one of the changing rooms.
Huh...
Shaking her head, she turned again to Rose, having settled on the two items she'd liked the most of the ones she'd looked at. She slung them over her shoulder, where they would sit until she was ready to pay for them. "See anything you like? They've got a whole section full of leather shit- I feel like that's more your style." She tossed Rose a playful wink, her expression overall being a lot more carefree and relaxed than it usually was, at the Academy.
It felt good, actually, being able to just hang out with friends and do (relatively) normal shit.

She had absolutely no clue what looked good and what didn't, regardless of gender. So Rose mostly meandered around aimlessly near her two friends with a moderately bored look on her face...hell, she wasn't even allowed to smoke to relieve some of the tension that this place brought! This place was somewhat pointless to the blonde since, first of all, Rose didn't wear a bra. And lace underwear? Where was the function in that?
"Ah bite me, Kish. This place just bugs me...honestly, you can buy a pack of 6 panties down at the other side of the mall for like half the price of ONE lacey pair. Where is the economics in this thing?"
Wouldn't someone be more turned on by their partner's intelligence in the concept of 'waste not want not?' Civilized people really were strange. And speaking of strange, Holly was loudly presenting a pair with a hole in the back. She thought it was for convenient pooping, which couldn't be right because the hole was too small...and the sales lady said it was for Faunus with tails.
"Nah, you're both wrong." She said in a casual manner. "Holly, that shit is for taking it up the butt. Not useful for a first date, I'm sure."
Rose tilted her head at Kishka, regarding the nightie, and shook her head. "Give more to the imagination. You don't want to show the goods right from the start, eh? Go for like...I dunno something softer so that the guy can tear it off easier."
Holly's thoughts on relationships was...pretty off kilter to Rose. Thinking WAY too far ahead with thoughts of rainbows and sugar plums. True love was a mutual thing and not something for just one person to hold up...then again Rose wouldn't know...and the idea of love made the taciturn fighter grimace for a moment until Holly announced that she would be trying clothes on.
And yet, just as Kishka pointed out the leather section, Rose stopped in her tracks. She spotted something that seemed to touch her heart and she reached out for it. It was a simple red dress with white frills peeking out from underneath it and her eyes widened...why did it attract her attention so?

With how long Holly was in that changing room, you might think that she would be there for ever. It was not a monumental task to try on one bra and a dress, so how long could she be in there? [break] [break] Longer than you would have thought! [break] [break] There was a big mirror in the changing room, one that you could use to look at yourself from head to toe. Normally this would be an excellent service for your customer. It was just that this specific customer never had this great of a mirror to look at herself fully. And she didn’t quite like what she saw. It wasn’t the bra, it wasn’t the dress…it was, well, Holly didn’t really like looking at herself all exposed like this. [break] [break] The mirrors that she normally looked into weren’t this tall, and being confronted with her own body like this was enough to let the girl stay spellbound. I guess that no girl really completely like the way they look. It wasn’t that Holly had pimples, or that she was particularly ugly. As Holly looked at herself in the mirror, she noted how thin she was. She noted how she could count all of her ribs without fault. Her arms were thin, her legs were rangy but short. She was just short in general. While there were other short girls in Haven, Holly knew that she was still far below the average. [break] [break] Just going by her age, Holly was an adult. She didn’t look like an adult, or feel like one. Holly appeared the same like she had done since she was like, 14 years old. She hadn’t grown in close to five years. Perhaps her chest had a little bit, but that was it. She was still…so small. Will she ever grow? Was…was this it? [break] [break] “Will…Will I always stay like this?” She muttered out loud to herself as she gave up on the bra. Even with this wonderful piece of underwear you needed more to work with than Holly had to offer. Still, despite a short moment of fear that the dress would be a failure, Holly was pleasantly surprised that the dress fitted. It even looked good on her. Great, even. It was honestly a sign to the girl. An affirmation of what she already knew. Ryan had a great taste in colours. He had said that a red dress will look great on her and he was right. Right about the dress, and right about her. [break] [break] Holly was pretty, at least pretty in his eyes. [break] [break] Holly was at least not a child for him. [break] [break] Or, at least he could see Holly for more than just a child. [break] [break] She was more for him. His girlfriend, soon to be his wife, the mother of his children. [break] [break] Wives and mothers are not children. Wives and mothers are seen as adults even if they are small, or thin. They are loved by husbands, and their children. A love that stays and is deep. Just like with mom and dad. Holly wanted that for herself…she… She thought she needed it. [break] [break] And Ryan will give him that. [break] [break] And then they would be happy. [break] [break] Together. [break] [break] Taking a last look at herself, Holly walked outside of the changing room with her pretty red dress. A slight smile was on her face as she tries to find Rose and Kishka. Upon finding them, she would make a slight twirl in her dress before them on her bare feet. She sounded hopeful wearing that dress. Happy and hopeful. “How do I look? Is it more cute, or pretty? Also, let me see what you guys got?” Rose seemed to have a red dress. Red dresses are a sign of greatness!

KISHKA BURZANOVA
She couldn't help but let out a laugh as Rose made her grumpy comments. "Yeah, it's not the practical option. But hey, sometimes it's nice to splurge a little. Do what you want, just because you can, you know? Sometimes I like wearing lacey, frilly, pointless, shit." She tossed Rose a grin. "And sometimes I just want simple, basic, shit. Just figured Holly was probably looking for something new and exciting."
And new and exciting, it was.
It definitely was.
A little too exciting. Kishka burst out laughing, folding forward, as the islander came running back into the main area of the store, with the tail-hole'd garments, saying something about pooping, before the saleswoman corrected her. Rose's contribution to the exchange only caused her to laugh harder, eventually coming back up to standing properly, wiping the tears from her eyes as she let out the last of her snickering.
Yeah, bringing these two here was a fantastic idea.
She paused for a comment, contemplating Rose's critique thoughtfully, before giving a little half shrug, and placing the negligee back on the hanger, browsing around for something else. "Yeah, good point." Hmm... Something a little easier to tear off, huh? So that was what Colt and Rose were into. She filed that image away under 'things to blackmail Colton with,' as she continued her search.
She turned curiously as Rose's murmuring drew her from her quest for a more suitable piece of bedroom attire. And followed Rose's gaze down to the little red dress she had found. She smiled, before turning back to the many clothing racks, her eyes falling on a white dress.. "It's a good color on you, Rose; you should buy it if you like it."
Speaking of red looking nice on people...
Holly returned, wearing a totally stunning red dress, much more formal and ballroom-esque than anything else she had picked out thus far. It was a lighter red than Rose's, which worked really well for the magenta-haired girl. "It's lovely, Holly. Great pick! Very pretty." She paused for a moment, as she considered Holly's second question.
Seems like both of them had found something they were looking for. And while it wasn't necessarily what she'd come to get, she did like the dress that she'd found. And it would be kinda fun if they all changed into their new dresses to get frozen yogurt. Yeah, that settled it. She grabbed the white dress of the rack and held it in front of herself. "I think I like this one. And I think I've got just the right pair of shoes for it, somewhere at home..."
Suddenly, she was struck with a brilliant idea. Something that wasn't uncommon for her, of course. She was, after all, always brilliant.
"Oh! Hey Rose, let's go change into our new clothes really quick. We should take a picture!"
