Today was a good day for Lily. She had made it through classes with minimal interaction with others, and her daily scheduled training had cycled through to a dedicated weapon day. This was arguably one of her favorite training methods. She had lucked out in finding a moderately sized and deserted hall to practice her weapon skills in. This hall in particular gave her particularly good flexibility in her training as it allowed a student to change the field of battle within the large dome shaped room. She currently had the settings turned to forest, and was standing amidst a cove of blue and orange trees, the barriers mimicking trees were wrapped in checkered padding.
Just a flick of the wrist and...
She grimmaced as her trio of blades sailed past the trunk she was aiming, the razor wire wrapping itself around once before she impatiently began the process of reeling it back in. She took a deep breath, steadying herself as she visualized the trajectory once more.
She aimed the blades far to the left of her chosen mark and squeezed the three triggers simultaneously. She waited until the proper moment, and stopped the razor wire from feeding any more slack to the blades. She flicked her wrist, jolting the blades to the right and maintained the momentum they were fired with. This step alone had taken considerable practice, but the skill was worthless if she couldn't hit her target. This time her trio of blades scored a deep gouge on the back of the trunk. Before sailing around and wrapping the tree twice. She attempted to reel the blade in, but it wouldn't budge. She let out a small groan, and began walking towards the 'tree' to investigate the problem, reeling the sharp wire in as she did so.
The problem was immediately apparent, the blades, when wrapping the tree had managed to pass in between the gaps of it's own wires while circling the tree. The three prongs dangled below the snag wrapped around each other and spinning slowly. She the began the arduous task of untangling the razor sharp wires, thankful that her aura would protect her fingertips. Once she got them untangled one by one she passed them through the wires and cleanly reeled them in. She breathed a sigh of relief as she heard the prongs click back into place.
Maybe one day I'll be able to do that on purpose. she thought, imagining herself locking her blades in place around a grimm's midsection and reeling the weapon in until she'd successfuly bisected the creature. She was mid fantasy when she heard the door to the training room open, and she immediately felt suddenly quite uncomfortable. She tried to look toward the entrance, but she'd cranked the density metrics to maximum so all she could really see were a wall of orange and blue trunks.
"I-Is someone there?" she called out, hoping they wouldn't mess with the room controls, but not wanting to make a bad impression on whoever it was that had come into the room.
It was a strange sensation. She felt alone in the woods again, grimm lurking just out of sight. She took a few deep breaths to stop herself from letting those thoughts take over.
It's just a normal student, no need to be afraid, I'm sure I'll just get all worked up for nothing again and everything will be fine.
Even though she told herself that, it didn't help with the urge to jump into the 'trees' and flee before she had to face another of her peers. Her heart was already starting to pump more quickly in anticipation of meeting someone new yet again.
Maybe it'll be someone I know already. Then at least I won't have to introduce myself. Wait, you only have to introduce yourself the first time right? Oh god I hope so.

KISHKA BURZANOVA
She tried reminding herself of all the stuff Argent had told her.
She really did.
But some days were better days than others for Kishka and her temper, and this was one? Yeah, it wasn't one of those.
Losing to Aegle in her exhibition tournament fight had been the single-most humiliating moment of her life, and try as Argent might have, he wasn't going to be able to deal with all of the emotional baggage that came with that defeat in one long talk. Fortunately, she knew exactly how well he knew her, and she had no doubt in her mind that he was banking on that, and already preparing for more lengthy talks to try and calm her down and work out how she could be less aggressive and angry.
But fuck that, at this moment in particular.
She felt angry, and there was only one cure.
There was a training room in one of the facilities that could simulate different environments, and she was determined to work on some of her Vytal strategies. That was something, at least, that could calm her down some. Or at the very least, it would provide a sufficient outlet for her rage.
Stupid fucking Aegle.
She just had to go and fuck everything up, like she always did. It was bad enough, the mess she caused on the wall, and the sorry excuses for effort she put forth in classes, but to intentionally go out of her way to steal her from Colton's class, sticking her with a bunch of losers? To make such a bold gesture as to pass on Argent, when she had the opportunity to take him too? She sabotaged her own fucking class to make a point at Kishka.
And Kishka had sabotaged herself in so many ways, to make a point back at her.
It wasn't worth it. She could have won the Exhibition Tournament. She knew damn well Bel was representing Beacon, and she could have been representing Haven, except she practically threw her fight. Showed up with a fucking armchair... It was a funny idea, the concept of humiliating Aegle by showing her the exact amount of respect she deserved as an opponent. But she had underestimated Aegle, and overestimated her own stamina. And to top it all off, she let her emotions get the best of her in a fight that should have been easily won. She could have easily beaten Aegle if she'd gone into it with her usual cool-headed strategic mind.
Instead, she tried to make Aegle look like a joke, but in the end, she was the one being laughed at. It hurt.
Not as bad as she was going to hurt the targets in this training room, though.
She stepped through the door, marching in like a woman on a goddamn mission, only to find that the room was apparently in use- a dense, thick, forest filled the large training space, and sounds of movement could be heard faintly through the trees. "Oh, for fuck's sake," she muttered to herself, just above a whisper.
Hell no. She didn't care who was in here, she had shit to do. Very important shit. She sighed, pinching at the bridge of her nose. Why was it that whenever she needed something, someone always had to go and get in the way? A hesitant voice called out through the trees. Seems like whoever it was knew she was there now. "Yeah. I need this room- you about done with it? I don't have all fucking day." Maybe it was a little harsh, but for the purple-haired woman, making friends was a tiresome, exhausting, task that didn't come easily. And frankly, with the mood she was in, she didn't quite care whose feelings she hurt, or whose toes she stepped on.
She didn't walk all the way out to this specific training facility to loiter around, waiting for some nobody to finish doing whatever stupid exercise she was working on. If she was going to be successful at Vytal, she needed to plan for each and every environment she could possibly have to fight in, and that was going to take some serious time.
Time which was currently being taken up by whoever it was through the trees. She stepped into the mock forest, to better see the girl she was snapping at, her face about as "resting bitch" as they came.
Eventually, she made it to the little clearing where Lily was standing. Dark hair, cat ears, and some kind of gauntlet-y looking weapon? She had no clue who this girl was, but she knew she wasn't in the Red Class, because she hadn't seen her at the first day of homeroom. Which meant she was in the Green Class. Lovely.
Someone who got picked over her. Great. Exactly the kind of pick-me-up her quickly dwindling patience needed.

Lily's fears had proven totally justified for once as the pissed off pink haired woman approached her. She found herself shrinking away, the same response her mother had often ilicited from her when she would go off on one of her tirades about discipline and resolve, or when Lily had failed particularly badly in her training. Her mother was a force to be reckoned with when she was angry, and this girl exuded the same oppressive atmosphere that her mother possessed which made even the air feel heavy around her. The girl's ears flattened against her head as her mouth spit out a reflexive apology.
"I-I'm sorry, I'll be done soon I know I can figure this out faster if you give me a few more tries!"
It was an apology she had often spat verbatim to her mother, and speaking it now filled her with the strangest nostalgia. She was immediately filled with an overwhelming sadness for her lost home, which did nothing to help the social stress of having to deal with the pretty girl staring daggers at her.
She wanted to say yes just to have her go away. The prospect of being alone suddenly seemed much more appealing, but she wanted to get this training right. She'd only been at it for roughly fifteen minutes, and had been sure to make certain nobody had reserved the room to ensure she didn't repeat the mishap she'd had with Argent previously.
"I-I just need a little more time... Perhaps you could, maybe.. her voice was growing more stressed and strained as she spoke, but she soldiered on despite her discomfort. "You could p-perhaps train in another section of the room until I finish?"
It was a rather large room, so not too unreasonable a request, but judging by this pink haired girl's tone and expression, she doubted the compromise would sit very well. There was a strong part of her that wanted to meekly accept the girl's request and simply vacate the premisis, Lily's earlier loss against Aegle had only reminded her that she would never successfully be able to beat an opponent if she didn't broaden her horizons and learn to fight in more unconventional ways. The shame she had always carried with her at her own weakness, and the resolve to get stronger couldn't allow her to relinquish the room too easily. While it was difficult, she offered no apologies that included her promise to vacate immediately.

KISHKA BURZANOVA
Kishka rolled her eyes so damn hard, they could have come out through the back of her skull.
Seriously? Of all the spineless shits she could have run into, this was the one she had to deal with? She did not have time for some stuttering moron's excuses, nor for her wasting Kishka's valuable time. She needed this room. It was almost never in use, so why, when she had planned on using it, was someone else in here? "Soon isn't quite fast enough." Maybe it was unfair to be such a bitch to this girl, over the room. She was there first, after all, and Kishka had very likely interrupted her own training, to use the space herself.
But today wasn't a day for being nice to strangers.
Today, Kishka Burzanova was royally pissed and fuming. She needed to burn some anger out, and she had decided on this room. No substitutes. She briefly considered challenging the girl to a match, but from the looks of her, it wouldn't be nearly an entertaining enough fight to lift her spirits. No, she just wanted to do what she'd come to do- that is, target practice in assorted Vytal environments.
Now... What to start with...
The girl pulled her out of her thoughts with some more bullshit about how she "just needed a little more time," and even had the nerve to suggest Kishka just use the other half of the room. Not a chance- this room was the ideal size for practicing mobility, something she'd need to work on. Ideally, she would get a feel for each simulated environment, just racing through the programmed courses, then when she had that down, she'd have Colton launch an assault on her from the other end, full strength- regrettably, she had to admit that he objectively had a longer range than Argent, and she needed to match Bel's strength as closely as possible in practice, if she was supposed to have any chance at her in person.
She realized she hadn't acknowledged the stupid girl's dumb suggestion, so she simply sniffed sharply and closed her eyes, before turning around, shaking her head dismissively. "You've got five minutes. Then, out. I have shit I need to get done." Yeah. Today wasn't a day where Nice Kishka was coming out to play. She headed for the controls on the inside of the door, and after a moment of deliberation, switched the setting from "Forest Biome" to "Arctic Biome." Immediately, the simulated forest gave way to a slick and mostly-level floor of ice, with sparse frozen spikes jutting out from the ground, providing some obstacles. A set of practice dummies sprung up as well, and Kishka smiled to herself as she drew her weapon.
Like lightning, she jolted across the ice, half-running, half skidding, towards the targets, but just as she was about to smack into them, she took her umbrella by the closed end, and hooked the handle around one of the ice spires, making a sharp ninety degree turn with ease, before readjusting her weapon and firing two cannonballs in quick succession.
Ping. And Ping.
Solid shot to the chest on one dummy, and a decent shoulder hit on the other. Not half bad for a warm-up.
Hopefully the girl she'd interrupted would be leaving her alone now...
