Granado Clover
"Ya wanna do something this saturday?"
Age 20 Gender Male Faction Haven Academy Tier Beginner Face Claim Matsuoka Rin - Free! OOC Name RedHood |
Character Traits
Date of Birth: January 1st, 5AV
Species: Human
Hometown: Vacuo
Romantic Orientation: Heterosexual
Hair Color/Style: Disheveled wine colored hair loosely tied in a ponytail that reaches his upper back.
Eye Color: Bright red
Aura Color: Blood red
Height: 192cm
Weight: 79kg
Appearance: Ever since he arrived at Mistral, Granado learned pretty quickly that a pretty face seems to make life easier for those who know how to use it. Thankfully enough, he had been gifted with such a face. With sharp features, predatory shark-like teeth and eyes that seem to stare into your very soul, he learned to make do with it to help him to survive into the streets of Mistral. And while not me strongest nor muscled individual, the clothes that Granado uses usually accentuate his lean frame.
Usually seen wearing snug shirts of different shades of dark colors, cargo pants, and black combat boots. Granado takes pride in the fact that he can usually make one more than one head turn on his wake. Underneath those clothes, there is a myriad of hidden scars present throughout all of his body, an unforgettable reminder of his time living in the streets of Mistral.
Personality: With an ever-present smile on his face, Granado likes to think himself to be the sort of person that can always be the one to raise the mood. Be it by cracking a joke or by simply keeping his smile even in the worst of situations. Even if called naive by his supposedly dumb optimism, Granado will always keep his smile on, no matter how dark the situation may be. As his time on the streets taught him that with a beacon of optimism, people usually tend to fall less into despair when shit hits the fan.
A true lover and admirer of women called as a casanova by many, Granado has earned his fair share of slaps and drinks thrown at his face through his days. And the fact that he takes pride in his past exploits and all of the myriad of names he had been called through the years doesn't imply many good things for his romantic prospects.
But deep down, behind the smile and his casanova habits, there is an insecure, afraid and regret-filled man. Using his smile and women to try to hide from himself all of his past regrets, and those whom he didn't want to leave behind, under a veil of hedonism.

Combat & Inventory
Getaway
Rank of Semblance: E
Semblance Type: Clone
One Sentence Summary of Semblance: Getaway is a single clone Semblance that allows the user to create a single clone capable of exerting physical force, has nonzero durability and clones and that allows user to move while semblance is activated
Description of Semblance: With Getaway, Granado is capable of summoning a single clone, which is nearly identical to himself, that is capable of exerting physical force on others. Though being capable of not dissapearing immediately upon contact, a direct hit that equals or exceeds E rank damage will destroy the clone immediately, as well as two F rank hits. Granado can also move alongside the clones and fight with them.
Drawbacks of Semblance:The main disanvantage of Getaway is that the clone can only move away from the user a distance equivalent to the lenght of a telephone pole, roughly 10-12 meters. Another disadvantage is that Granado needs to constantly spend Aura to maintain the clone in existence.
2 for 1
Rank of Weapon(s): F
Description of Weapons(s): 2 for 1 is a 12 gauge, bullpup pump-action Kel-Tec KSG shotgun. Being able to hold up to 14 shotshells in twin, though independent, tubular magazines located underneath the barrel. With a flick of his finger, Granado is capable of switching between the two magazines in case of each containing a different type of ammo.
Because of its high magazine size and tubular nature, the shotgun needs to have each shotshell manually reloaded into each magazine, thus creating a long reload time that lefts Granado vulnerable in a prolonged fight.
2 for 1's frame and inner mechanisms have been modified to allow it to be folded into a square-ish shape. Cutting off the half of its 66 cms length, making it far easier to carry alongside his Violin.
Non-Combat Abilities
Name of Non-Combat Ability: Violinist
Rank of Non-Combat Ability: F
Description of Non-Combat Ability: Ever since getting his first violin, Granado showed innate talent while playing it. In his village, he was labeled as one of, if not the, best violinists of it. Sadly enough, after leaving for the big, wide world Granado sadly discovered that he simply was another one of the bunch when it comes to ability. And thus, he's been practicing extra hard to improve his skills.
Though if its showing results is another matter entirely.
Name of Non-Combat Ability: Luthier
Rank of Non-Combat Ability: F
Description of Non-Combat Ability: When you own your own Violin, you're set to learn the basics when it comes down to its construction and maintenance. And Granado, of course, also set down this path after being gifted his Violin. He couldn't make a living out of it, as his experience in Mistral showed, so his skills are mostly devoted to maintaining and upgrading his own Violin.
Combat Abilities
Name of Combat Ability: Marksmanship
Rank of Combat Ability: F
Description of Combat Ability: When you don't have enough money to even buy food, it's either starvation or seeking ways to gather whatever food you can get in whatever way you can. In Granado's case, he hunted whatever small animals in the outskirts of Mistral he could set his shotgun's sights on. Due to this continued exercise, Granado can, or at least try, to hit targets up to 5-7 meters away. Roughly the size of a small room.
Name of Combat Ability: Durability
Rank of Combat Ability: E
Description of Combat Ability: When you have to survive living in a community under constant threat in Vacuo just to also end up being homeless on the lowest level of the Ground district on Mistral (In a situation which can be described as falling from the fire to the frying pan) Granado was usually forced to fight for his survival. Either in street fights or against Grimm. Due to this, Granado's skin and bones are denser than most.
Granado time at Haven has caused his skin and bones to be even more denser than before, allowing him to resist more damage.
Name of Combat Ability: Acrobatics
Rank of Combat Ability: F
Description of Combat Ability: Sleeping in the streets of the lowest sector of the Ground District during the night can be as healthy as pressing a gun against your head and pressing the trigger. Thus, to avoid waking up naked and most likely with less blood inside his body than the doctors consider healthy, Granado would climb up the buildings at night to sleep on the roofs. And, accordingly, he has learned some tricks in the world of climbing.
Name of Combat Ability: Agility
Rank of Combat Ability: F
Description of Combat Ability: Although Granado was already agile before coming to Haven, it was his time in the Academy what really pushed his limits and made him improve. Now, Granado is more agile than your normal human.

Biography
History
Growing up in Vacuo is not an easy task, never been and never will. Be it in their nomadic tribes or what few cities or settlements have survived the test of time in one of the harshest Kingdoms of Remnant. Thankfully enough, the village in which Granado grew up alongside his three siblings was one of those.
But ever since an early age, and even more after he was gifted a Violin and lessons from one of the Village's friendly elders, Granado realized that the repetitive life of rising before the sun, working day long and then crashing on bed, all while hoping the next Grimm or bandit attack to not be the last, simply wasn't meant for someone like him.
Fights between himself and his parents would turn to be a common sight in their home given that as he turned older he began to turn more vocal about his discontent and his increasing desire to leave the village. But the boiling point would end up being a scuffle he had with his older brother Vermelhao when he turned fifteen after the later left himself the village to go to Vacuo.
A month later, he finally accomplished his, by that point, long-lasting threat of leaving the village to go to the city where he thought he could make it big with his luthier skills. Vermelhao had gone to Vacuo. He would go even farther, he would go to Mistral. And so, he made his way to the city as a stowaway in a cargo plane.
But, as you may have expected, a 15-year-old with no contacts and little more money than the one in his pockets -which wasn't a lot, to begin with- will have a hard time setting up a business. Not even a week later, Granado was stuck in Mistral penniless. But, even though he would never admit it, he would have been more than capable of returning to the village and ask for forgiveness had his pride not gotten in between. But instead of doing so, he stayed, even though he was aware of what it would mean to stay. Being a homeless beggar.
The following months turned into yet another repetitive routine, similar to the one which he tried to escape from in the first place. He would rise up from whichever roof he managed to climb the night prior, then he would work all day in whatever odd job he could find, or resort to begging if he couldn't find any, before climbing once again another roof to count his meager earnings and to how to spend it to lengthen his life.
But what was dissimilar from his previous routine was how fights turned into just another part of his daily life. Thanks to being a Vacuan grown-up, Granado had more than one share of fights against human beings before ending up in Mistral's streets. Something that allowed him to survive more than one would-be-mugging or just plain survival against anyone who underestimated him as easy prey. And these skills allowed him to make more than one big earning in cash in the underground pits whenever his health allowed him to. But these usually came with the side effect of earning disgruntled enemies which usually led to more fights outside of said pits.
This continued every day for five years. During that time, Granado unlocked his Semblance during a special brutal street fight where he most likely would have gotten killed had not been from his Semblance coming to his rescue by allowing him to flee the fight. But, after witnessing the Argus Limited and recognizing one of the trainees as his little sister Carmin. An extremely bright idea popped into his head.
He would attempt to be a Hunstman.
Granado's bright idea of giving a try at being a Hunstman came to fruition after he was accepted into the Academy. He had no idea if he would have even be considered had not been for The Fall -and by dropping his sister name- but he honestly couldn't care. He had been accepted after all, and it was time to give it his all.
