Character Traits
Date of Birth: January 3rd, 8 AV
Species: Human
Hometown: Mistral
Romantic Orientation: Straight
Hair Color/Style: Blonde hair/as picture
Eye Color: Red.
Aura Color: Silver.
Height: 188cm.
Weight: 139lbs.
Appearance: More detailed description of what the character wears, looks like, and how they carry themselves. This section should have their body type, any notable scars or features, and really what people see when they look at your character.
Personality: Nayamasa's personality is... awful. He doesn't really have time for or enjoy idle chit-chat, and is far from empathetic or supportive of most of his fellow students. He seems to take time spent as an ordinary person, rather than diligently training as a hunter, to be an insult to his own legacy, and as a result has ended up being a shut-in of sorts who rarely stops working some facet of his body or mind to become a better hunter. He single-mindedly treats himself as a tool in need of sharpening, and thus is rarely willing to take time out of his day for conversation or social interaction.
Despite this, Persephone has, at times, broke him out of this shell and managed to force him to interact with the world as a normal human being must. On those instances, he tends to always have something to grumble or complain about, but keeps it to himself and acts very polite. As a stickler for his family's manners, it takes a lot to push him from that formality - While he will be rude in the practical sense, he refuses to practice anything but proper decorum.
In the field, he's been noted to be very hard on other hunters, which in reality comes to a perceived wealth of talent in others - as someone who considers themselves "lazy" and "untalented", his assumptions actually put others on an unrealistically high platform, and causes him to mistake a lack of ability for a lack of effort constantly. Despite this, he's also very quick to apply his skills to any situation, unfailingly perceptive regarding any sort of threat to either his team or the nearby populace, and the type to lay down his life for even someone he despises in a heartbeat, should the situation call for it. Despite his willingness to push others away, he also fully and selflessly applies himself to be the ideal of a hunter, and would put his life on the line in a heartbeat to protect someone else.
He shows a much warmer side to Persephone, a human being who managed to break through his cold exterior and force him to speak of himself. To his friend, he's shown concern and worry, discussed his real doubts and issues, and shows himself as a calm, collected person who spends a lot of time thinking about what he can do for the world and what meaning his life still carries.
As the last member of his clan, Nayamasa uses the old naming conventions his family once followed, preferring to be called by his last name by any who don't know him well. So far, only Persephone has truly earned the right to call him "Fukaku" in his eyes. In doing so, Nayamasa has taken on the mantle he believes he now carries as the last of his clan, the last representative of Clan Nayamasa and the last thing that the people of Remnant will have to remember of the once proud family.
Nayamasa also carries a pathological hatred of grimm, despite having very little reason for the sheer depth of this hatred. While he has explained this as simply due to their fundamentally useless nature on this world, some who know the family believe it may be an inherited trait. Most also agree that there is very little reason to have a problem with hating one's natural enemy.

Repulsion
Rank of Semblance: E
Semblance Type: Manipulator
One Sentence Summary of Semblance: Nayamasa may fire small objects from his palm like improvised bullets.
Description of Semblance: Nayamasa can move concentrated kinetic energy through his arms into his palms, before letting it off in a controlled burst from his palm. This effectively allows him to fire anything smaller than a baseball as a deadly weapon, giving him a near-limitless amount of improvised ranged weaponry. While this is it's only practical use, it leaves Nayamasa with an incredible amount of flexibility in the field, being able to use anything from an ink cartridge to a piece of broken glass as a weapon to overwhelm his opponents with. Regardless of the item fired, the trajectory will be a straight line. While Nayamasa can fire only one item at a time, his semblance can be used as quickly as he finds new items to use it with.
Drawbacks of Semblance: Nayamasa requires items to use his semblance with, and reasonably durable ones, too - While he could fire a piece of wadded up paper at an opponent, regardless of the speed or power it is fired at, it will still do no more damage than a wad of paper is capable of. Attempting to use it on a large target, or a human being, will just create a useless blast of air that will do no more than mildly irritate the person in question, as though someone was shot with the wrapper of a straw.
Additionally, if Nayamasa's palms are damaged or injured in any way, his ability becomes much more dangerous. The energy to fire his semblance treats his entire arm as a chamber - if any part of his hand is injured, some of the energy won't be able to leave his hand, and instead cause internal damage, with the potential to shatter or break his hands, or worse. while this damage can't necessarily stop nayamasa from using his semblance, the effectiveness will go down, and blood loss and pain both will eventually stop him either by leaving him unconscious or killing him.
Attempting to accelerate dust with his semblance only ever ends with an explosion in Nayamasa's face.
Finally, there is always the same visual indicator when Nayamasa uses his semblance. for a split second, a silvery explosion may be seen in his palm, and shortly after, a silvery emission of aura will fizzle out of his hand in a similar fashion to gun smoke. while it shortly fades into the atmosphere, the smoke lingers for a few seconds before properly dissipating, moving where the wind may take it.
Karasu-Tengu
Rank of Weapon(s): F
Description of Weapons(s): A weapon that seems almost ornamental in this day and age, Karasu-Tengu is a Dark red bow built with custom-made arrows specifically designed to cut through grimm hide. The weapon has a bracing glove of Crimson metal that clings to Nayamasa's hand for extra stability and contains a chamber built to allow lightning dust to be introduced into the weapon, allowing for electrically charged arrows that can more than match modern guns. The weapon may also transform into a thin, guardless double-edged rapier, allowing for Nayamasa to engage in melee combat with opponents that get in close.

Combat Abilities
Name of Combat Ability: Enhanced Stamina
Rank of Combat Ability: F
Description of Combat Ability: Nayamasa is skilled at getting the absolute most out of his aura and body, knowing how to use the minimum of effort to get the maximum results, and has trained his body to be both lean and wiry. This allows him to get the most out of both without suffering the effects of fatigue.
Name of Combat Ability: Enhanced Marksmanship
Rank of Combat Ability: F
Description of Combat Ability: Nayamasa Fukaku comes from a proud line of archers and is constantly training with his bow, allowing him to hit smaller targets at the same range his fellows are capable of. this is partially due to significant amounts of training and partly due to the Nayamasa line naturally having 20/10 vision in their teenage years, persisting until long after they've passed their prime. This allows him to hit smaller targets easier with his bow, provided the weapon's range actually allows it.

Biography
History
Ferric Nayamasa was born to a pedigreed heritage of hunters, a lineage that has fought grimm for so long that no historical text has labelled his bloodline as ever doing anything but - It is theorized that perhaps the family have been hunters of grimm from the first generation.
While never exactly rich, successful hunters who routinely finish high-level missions are far from poor, either, and their prestige grew as a result, much farther than their actual income, as those in power scrambled to have a Nayamasa at their side during these turbulent times. To many, if not a guarantee, a Nayamasa in their bodyguard, protecting their assets, or clearing out a new area open for investment was one worry they’d paid not to worry about anymore.
Or so it was. Nayamasa Ferric is the only survivor of that clan, brought low not by merely grimm or war, but disease. Nearly the entirety of his clan was brought low by the resulting spread of a deadly virus, as well as dozens of other Mistralians. In the end, not even Nayamasa’s sister was spared, and the only 3 survivors of this new wave of illness were Ferric Nayamasa and his parents, Cobalt and Amethyst Nayamasa.
He was given the uneasy mantle of lone successor to the Nayamasa line of hunters, which bothered the young man initially. He had absolutely no talent for combat and hunting, and it showed from even a young age, but his parents steadfastly taught him all they could about the business before he was even old enough to enter Signal.
This was before the arrival of a white-haired man. Ferric never found out what the white-haired man wanted with him, or his parents. What he did remember was his fear upon seeing his parents’ dead bodies sprawled along the floor, the anger as their killer stood before him with a grin, and his inability to do anything but scream as the killer ran from the empty estate.
Who would both have both the lack of moral fiber and sheer strength to take down two of the strongest hunters living in Mistral was unknown, but one chilling clue was left behind: the trace of a familiar biological agent coating his bullets - the same disease that had claimed most of his family was being used by the killer as an incredibly brutal weapon
It was theorized that the white-haired individual might be linked to a biologist that had previously been taken down and put in jail for life by several of Fukaku's own cousins in the Nayamasa clan., but given the lack of physical resemblance, as well as much of a trail, if any, to track the murderer down... the investigators on the case soon found a brick wall on how to progress forward on the case, and the young Fukaku was left without any answers to the questions of who, what, or, most importantly, why.
In the end, Ferric was left with no comfort, no answers, and no assistance: just one dream:
He would not seek revenge upon the white-haired man, though he knew he also wouldn’t miss his chance if he was offered it. He was the last cry of the Nayamasa clan. The last of a dying breed. If he was to be his family’s tragic last gasp, he would make himself known. He would make himself strong. He would make himself respected. As the last statement his clan would ever make to the world, he would make sure that the world trembled upon hearing it’s name for ages to come.
And he would do so as the Nayamasas had done for generations. As a hunter.
It was with this attitude that the untalented Ferric became a talented hunter-in-training purely through his own hard work. He trained himself ragged, to the bone, without pause. Every action was either to train his body and mind or to prepare it for further training. He became a machine devoted to hunting, and nothing else. So it was that he entered signal with high marks, and soon met many of the other students there.
His own personality had become single-minded, cold, and abrasive, and he was incapable of making friends there. Friend, however… ended up becoming a more achievable goal. Not that Nayamasa was the one putting in the legwork, there...
Persephone Minamoto. Percy for short. The only one with the patience and chipperness to chip away at Nayamasa’s exterior. After getting through his first few grunts and his initial unwillingness to talk with his fatal weakness - Kindness and patience - the two hunters-in-training developed a rapport that has lasted throughout their academy years and persists even now, as they prepare to enter Haven Academy and begin the final leg of their journey to become hunters.
Haven Attack Update: Killed by Brigit Akane after being the most violent of the attackers.
