[attr="class","popqiu"] | [attr="class","qiutext"] Several hours had passed since Qiu'li had entered the Haven forests. At least, that's what the movement of the sun above seemed like. Qiu'li also remembered the Scroll on his hip as he retrieved it to check the time. How convenient. It was just past midday, and the raven-haired man still had a ways to go before completing his task at hand. Find five pieces of information about his fellow classmates and complete the exercise in a team of one other person. While Qiu'li couldn't quite figure out who he would chance upon in the end, the raven-haired man would only hope that it would be someone that he could get along with somewhat. It wasn't an exaggeration to say that Qiu'li was severely lacking in people to confide in this place. Not to say that he had many to begin with, but in a place where he would be meeting death a lot more often and getting outnumbered was commonplace, relying on someone for help would be a fresh change of pace. The problem was that there were few that he could really feel comfortable with. It was a mixed bag of arm's reach, untrustworthy, or not enough information. Quite honestly, the only he could really trust currently is Flower, and well, that was something he would have to accept. The forest surrounded Qiu'li with familiar noises, scents, and sights. Yet it was also incredibly different at the same time. The unfamiliar vegetation, the unfamiliar calls of the inhabitants, and the strange scents that filled the raven-haired man's nose. It was a frightening feeling, but he would be lying if he said that he didn't feel a little excited to be here. He was used to this environment, and Qiu'li intended to accomplish his task while he was in his own element. Just as he thought about that, a rustle came from the bushes nearby. Qiu'li shifted his head quickly as he stopped. Who was it? Friend? Foe? He couldn't tell for sure, but his hand immediately went towards his waist, where his 3-section staff Panlong was. Out of the options to flee or fight, fleeing would definitely be the best option if it was a Grimm. He didn't need to waste time since it was not on his list of tasks to complete as an Orchid. Hopefully the raven-haired man could out-run them since he knew the terrain enough to easily evade attacks and enemies, but there was a chance that there was something here that he could not outrun, and wounding them enough to escape would be their only option. There was only one way to find out, and it was to draw whatever was in the bush out for him to decide whether or not to spend the time fighting or to turn tail and run. Glancing around for a nearby stone, Qiu'li picked up a flat, grey stone and hurled it into the bush. What came out was a pair of fangs, claws, and glowing red eyes. One large Beowolf. The raven-haired man wasn't dumb, though. Where there was one, there was three or four more coming and unless Qiu'li eliminated them now, they would continue to pursue due to their agility and speed and possibly attract the rest of their pack. Sure enough, three more arrived out of the bushes, totally four. Qiu'li knew that this would be a difficult feat to handle alone. Immediately, Qiu'li leapt back to avoid the first Beowolf's attack and snapped the staff into it's single form to hold one end with both of his arms. With an extended reach, Qiu'li could keep the first one at bay, but it would only be a matter of time before the other three would attempt to flank him. In fact, as soon as the first one missed it's attack, the other two were already en route towards him. For now, the raven-haired man would focus on the first one and try to weaken it as heavily as he could before the other two caught up. Qiu'li let out a yell as he charged forward and pole-vaulted in front of the Large Beowolf, using it's head as a platform before the other two could perform their flanked leap attack. Once he got over, Qiu'li would perform several strikes on its back before retreating to the other end where the treeline was and used his acrobatic ability to ascend the tree and kicked off to launch himself directly down at the pack of Beowolves. However, there was only three that awaited him. The fourth was a bit further back, but it arched it's body upwards, forcing it to stand on it's hind legs as it lifted it's paws and raised its head showing it's full row of sharp teeth. Suddenly, the Beowolf let out a gutteral roar that echoed throughout the area. Shit, was that a sign that it was attracting more? Fuck. That was not good. Qiu'li would need a way to eliminate them before more came, or find a way out quickly. -- Fènnù (+Strength +Agility +Projectile Sword Beam) | Rank D Lóngtóu and Panlong | Rank F Featherfall I (Leap) | Rank D Weapon Proficiency I (Martial Arts) | Rank E Dance of the Wild Winds II (Acrobatics) | Rank E Shadow Step I (Stealth) | Rank F Resilience of the Crimson Oaks II (Durability) | Rank E |
