While Holly could read, and she would be very miffed if someone claimed otherwise, she did not enjoy it. It was so...slow. You need to read the words, comprehend the words, make sure you remember them. Speaking and listening were so much easier. You can just...use your ears and sit back while the knowledge come to you. That is why getting your information from videos on her scroll are so much superior. You get to watch someone explain stuff, and you can like...grow plants while you are watching them. That are two tasks in one! [break] [break] Still, Holly needed to be in the library as she could find nothing on her scroll that could help her with this subject. She needed to read a very specific history passage for an essay she needed to write for Mrs. Long. She smelled funny, and was sweet, but why did she not give more general assignments? Why so specific! Ugh... Holly let her head fall on the desk in front of her. She had been at it for two hours, and without any form of progress. Sitting alone at one of the long tables of the library, Holly was quite certain that this was going to be torture for the next three hours. Nobody who was near her even looked up at the weird pink haired girl, and the one time she tried to talk to someone about plants they just shushed her. Was it because she was wearing her tattered white dress instead of her academy outfit? Would they only talk to her if she looked like a book-reading student? Ugh! This is the worst! Niraya had just left class with a rather angered look. being used as an example from one of the students had angered her. She heads to the Libary to bury herself in her homework to take her mind off of the profane word for a female dog being used to describe her. She slammed her books onto a table she thought was empty and quickly gets to work. Holly could see a book facing her with fox ears pointed out from above them. after a bit, Niraya would stop feeling someone was watching her. She peers over the book to see Holly. "Oh!... I'm sorry I didn't see you there Holly. ugh...you ok?"

Well, as loud as loud sounds go in the library without causing a choir of people hushing you. Which like...ruder than yelling to shut up. Being curious, Holly looked up from her page to look at the source of this sound. [break] [break] Her face lighted up when she saw a pair of distinctive ears sticking out from behind a book. [break] [break] Those were most likely Niraya's right? Holly didn't know anyone else with such ears, but she didn't want to assume anything without being sure. She had already approached 2 people in the street who had ears like Niraya, asking if they knew each other. Apparently, that made her a 'Bigot', or something like that. She was just excited to potentially meet Niraya's family! How many fox faunus could there be in Haven and not have any relation to each other? That was how their biology kinda worked, right?[break] [break] When Niraya's face appeared, all doubt left Holly's mind. Yup, Niraya. Fox Friend. Holly gave the other girl a nod, before she answered in the hushed tone the institution called the library expected of her. The deadpan voice didn't get any better now that it also sounded bored. "I am quite certain that I will die of boredom here. Please, if I die here...Let Kishka plan the funeral and let Carmim play the music on my funeral. Also, don't let Ryan kill himself out of grief. Also, tell Nasrin that I wished we could have been friends." Holly sounded weirdly serious, before the continued in a more causal tone as if she had said nothing about her final wishes. "So, how are you? You don’t look your usual happy self"

Niraya listens to Holly and chuckled a bit when she said she would die of boredom. but the more she got into it the more Niraya felt worried Holly might actually die. Niraya was a bit stunned when Holly changed pace to a more normal conversation and needed a second to prosses it. "I ... ugh ... I don't want to go into this right now." Niraya rubs the back of her neck. It was clear Niraya was upset by what had happened. Niraya sighs and looks at Holly. "How have you been? last time I saw you I kinda left you for selfish reasons I realize now was not something I needed to do."

For Holly the betrayal was quite the downer of the day. Even if it was necessary for Niraya to complete her objective, it wasn't all that nice for the plant-girl's mood. Still, it seemed kinda petty to keep someone else sad when they clearly had guilt about their action.[break] [break] Holly gave Niraya a nod, before she spoke. "You know, done this and that. Gardenin Club is going nicely. And don't worry about what happened in the midterms. I was sad in the moment, but it is good to see you now, and-" Holly seemed to want to talk more, but she was shushed by another library patron who was close by standing near one of the book closets. They had placed their finger in front of their mouth as well when they did so. Holly glared at this person, before she turned her attention back to Niraya. Fine! Whispering it is! Holly continued whispering: "And, I hope that nothing too bad happened to you, but you don't need to talk about it if you don't want to."

Niraya smiles at Holly her tail wagging a bit when Holly wasn't mad at her. when she had been told to be quiet this caught Niraya's attention then she looked back at Holly. "let's go somewhere else to talk." Niraya puts the book away and waits for holly before heading to the gardens to see how the garden club has been going. Once out of the library she would speak up again. "So how have you been? haven't really seen you all that much after the midterm" It was clear Niraya wanted to make up for leaving her.

[break] [break] It was an easy choice to make.[break] [break] Holly abandoned the book she failed to read anyone and made sure to go along with the Faunus to wherever she wanted to go. As long as it was any place other than this library, Holly would be happy. Well, unless it was some place cold. Cold weather sucks. Niraya most likely didn't wanted to talk in the cold though, so Holly was certain she was safe on that end. [break] [break] The question was slightly surprising. It was a fairly standard question for most people, but not all that many people asked how Holly was doing. While the girl's voice sounded as flat as it normally did, the girl's eyes did twinkle with some excitement as she told about how she was doing. "Well, Gardenin Club is going strong. Not that many members though, but we get by. Studies are going alright, but please let not talk about that. I just fled from that place of books. Otherwise, I think I have a boyfriend now. So that is nice."[break] [break] It was more than nice, but Holly didn't wanted to brag about having Ryan as a boyfriend now. Niraya didn't had a boyfriend, as far as Holly knew, so she didn't wanted to place any pressure on her. For the rest, Holly simply followed Niraya to wherever she was going like she was some kind of loyal puppy walking slightly behind their owner. A cute pink-haired puppy. [break] [break]

Niraya walks around the garden it was nice to see the place going well. she would smile at holly seeing her so excited about the garden club doing so well. her studies could be better but Niraya wasn't going to pressure her just yet. Niraya was surprised she had a boyfriend. quite the interesting thing indeed given her more outwards expression. "that's good to hear. sorry I can't join. I don't exactly have a green thumb." Niraya pulls up a flower and just by holding it there ice begins to form around it. "my semblance doesn't work well on plants." She hands Holly the now ice-covered flower.

Niraya sighs to herself. "so how did you find a boyfriend? spill the beans who is it?" Niraya was very curious on who this person was. surely Holly would tell Niraya who it was. Niraya leans in close her ears perked up. Niraya wasn't going to go anywhere else for the moment as the gardens were private enough.
